products For this project, I analyized and researched about gaming desks to learn what customers like and what they don’t like. With this research, I was able to create a better gaming desk with all the features

that gamers need.

Gaming Desk

Gaming Desk 01: The Smart Desk This gaming desk was inspired by the shape of the gaming controller. I used the curves on the controller and implemented it on the top of the desk in an ergonomic way so it would be comfortable to the gamer.

The table top is made of MDF and laminate covered with a half mouse pad that has RGB lights on the edges. This gives the gamer the effect and mood to feel like they are in the game. The legs are made of steel with rubber base for stability and it can be adjusted so it would rise higher 10cm. The base of the desk can be connected to an outlet. It has built-in speakers, bluetooth and LED lights. The back of the desk has an area for cable managment to keep it neat and organzied from cables all over.

Mousepad Designs

Gaming Desk 02: The Spaceship Desk This gaming desk was inspired by the boomerang used in warrior games. I used the shape of the boomerang and the shape of a spaceship together to create this desk. I wanted the desk to be larger than normal desk sizes so it can be used for not only one gamer but two at the same time. It has a full surface mouse pad and RGB lights on the edges of the desk to give it a nice effect.

2018 Mini Calendars I handmade these mini calendars that could fit in a small purse or wallet. Each calendar has unique brushstrokes since it is printed on original artwork that I painted. Only 20 pieces were created and they were all sold out.

2019 Desk Calendars I designed and complied some pictures to create this 2019 desk calendar that can be used to take notes and remember important dates. Several pieces of these were created and they were all sold out really fast all over the UAE.

collection of logos Mars Medical Convoy Liverpool Innovation in Medicine Enterprise (LIME) and Liverpool Aviation and Space Medicine Society (LASMS) collabrated to implent the first medical convoy to Mars. They needed a design for their event that involved both of their existing logos.

This was the logo I created for their event. I combined space and medicine to appear in one logo so the idea of Mars Medical Convoy will be visible to the attendees of the event without reading a description.

Option 1 After creating the logo for the Mars Medical Convoy, I combined the logo of both societies to show their collaboration together at hosting the workshop. I thought of something that needed to be exciting for students and that’s why I decided to use the stethoscope as the main element for my design.

T-shirt Mockups Final Option I wanted their t-shirts to look like they are wearing a real stethoscope, and the 3rd option of the logo was the best and final one.

Liverpool Innovation in Medicine Enterprise Liverpool Innovation in Medicine Enterprise (LIME) were hosting a workshop for students and they needed to resdesign their logo to represent their society. They wanted creativity mixed with science and technology, and that is what I implented through my design.

These are several options that the client wanted. I used the red color to represent the blood running through the veins and focused more on blue since that is the color of the veins that carry deoxygenated blood through the body.

This manual can be used to guide the questions to be explored during the workshop as well as finding brief information on the technologies that can assist with solving challenges faced during the creative process.

1. Artificial intelligence Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning (the acquisition of information and rules for using the information), reasoning (using rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions) and self-correction.

TechnologY

2. Virtual reality The use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. VR places users inside an 3. Advanced robotics Devices that can act autonomously using cognition that interact physically with people or their environment and that are capable of modifying their behaviour based upon sensor data such as touch, ultrasonic or light sensors.

Who do we need to bring? What we need to bring? How are we going to efficiently bring it? Who is funding it? How much are they willing to spend?

15. Terraforming

FACTOR 6: Ease of Use The hypothetical process of engineering by which the surface and climate of Mars would be changed FACTOR 7: Efficiency / Power Source to make areas of the environment hospitable to humans FACTOR 8: Access

16. Better equipped, portable observation platform NASA designed a new pointing system - the Wallops Arc Second Pointer (WASP) - a highly stable, off-the-shelf-type system that could accurately point their instruments and then track planetary targets as they moved in the solar system. 17. More flexible/mobile spacesuits (protection from radiation - long term use of space suits)

People to bring: • Variation of the crew • Different specialties: - Explore what different specialties / jobs / departments and their roles on the mission? Different background • Maybe favouring older people (experienced astronauts? or first-time travellers?) Psychologically compatible crew • Shared background?

What design considerations do we need? What staffing is required? How do we build it with the tools we can take? What conditions should be prioritised to treat?

Explore the impact of the resources are already available on mars? journeyWhat Earth to Mars •from Iron ore • Fertile soil – Magnesium, for crew and equipment Aluminium, Potassium, Calcium, Iron • Solar/wind power

• Geothermal – can be used to power steam turbines, water can be reused - Heat from craters takes thousands of years to cool - Thermoelectric generators can be used to produce energy (considAreas to explore: er locations on mars wisely) • Lifestyle and wellbeing needs: • Drill beneath the surface for reserves of ice – melt to water? - Nutrition - Melting point of water and water composition? Is it different on - Sleep Mars? - Exercise equipment • Do we want the crew to be conscious for the whole trip? (7-9 months trip) Other questions to explore: • Funding – cost efficient? • Length of the visit, will they stay permanently? • Landing technology – automated or not? Do pilots need experience? • How many hospitals will be built in the long-run? • Prioritising - what comes first? • Atmosphere Effects of space travel on the human body: on mars? • Microgravity on the human body - muscle and bone atrophy - blood pressure - hormones - fluid redistribution sinus/nasal congestion – they collect in the upper body - increased intercranial pressure - Orthostatic intolerance • Heart atrophy as high percentage of blood volume lost • CVS/aerobic capacity • G force adaption for non-military/untrained people • Long term space travel • Exposure to radiation • Psychological impact

Objective to keep in mind when considering resources: Building a hospital / households / habitat • Medical equipment to bring • Building materials • Necessities for survival: - Seeds - Livestock - Agricultural technologies: greenhouse / dome / etc. - Hydroponics
