“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.” - Stephen Hawking

This portfolio exhibits an array of my academic projects and personal artworks. As an interior designer, I am constantly seeking to learn and apply various design concepts and techniques to my work. My passion for this discipline and exposure to the world evoke emotions that I express through my artwork as an illustrator. I aspire for a career that would enable me to combine my enthusiasm for design as well as my love for traveling and interacting with others.

Noachis Terra
Noachis Terra will consist of a planetarium and NASA research labs. The aim of the planetarium will be to enlighten the public about the Mission to Mars from the UAE in 2020 and other astronomical facts. The center will provide both entertaining and educational facilities in one building. The ground floor will consist of a planetarium, museum, galleries, iFly outer space themed, and telescope facilities. The first floor will be solely for educational and research purposes, to develop the future mission to Mars, with offices, small laboratories, and a relax area for the scientists & scholars. The gallery will hold exhibitions where artists portray the wonders of the universe and show the mysteries of what goes on beyond Earth. Noachis Terra will encourage students to explore the world of astronomy and potentially pursue a career in astrophysics, increasing the number of scientists in the Middle East. A scientifically literate public is an essential part of the progress of any country. Many of today’s leading scientists chose their careers as they were captivated by the experience of a planetarium visit.
planetarium & nasa research labs
1. Goal: To design a comfortable and unique environment for the researches that illustrates the purpose of the facility. How? The laboratories designed will help the researchers in developing their future mission to Mars from the UAE while working. 2. Goal: To create a new facility within the center. How? By designing research labs area in order to make it stand out than the rest of the observatory centers and planetariums in the world.
3. Goal: To help students choose a future career in astrophysics and also increase the number of scientists in the Middle East. How? By encouraging students to explore the world of astronomy within the planetarium.
4. Goal: To expand the talent of artists that are influenced by astronomy to develop their creative careers. How? The gallery that separates the planetarium and the research lab will be a new idea that connects two separate facilities by art and it will hold exhibitions that show the wonders of the universe outside Earth.
5. Goal: To grant an entertaining and educational experience to understand what goes on beyond our Earth. How? In a time when quality science education is more important than ever, a scientifically literate public is an essential part of the progress of any country. Many of today’s leading scientists chose their careers because they were captivated by the experience of a planetarium visit.

residential design
The requirements for this was project was to design a home for a family of 3 for universal design studio. The father is fully able and mother is on a wheelchair. They have a 5-year-old daughter who has autism. Every corner in the house had to be accessible for the mother and safe for the daughter. I was inspired by objects in nature and I reflected that onto my design.

To design an HSBC Bank with a gallery... The bank consisted of furniture inspired by the artisit we picked for our gallery, Shawn Smith. He creates sculptures out of pixels and that was how we wanted to portray the design of our bank. The second part of the project was splitting the floor plan and focusing on specific areas to work on the details.

Desgining a retail shop was one of the most enjoyable projects I worked on. I chose an existing brand “Hard Rock and decided to create a music shop since their focus is on cafes, casinos, and hotels. The retail shop sells all kinds of musical instruments and has live music performances with DJs as well.

I recreated an existing building by Singer Baenziger Architects using only one program, Revit for the entire project. It is a preshool for children that is located in Wiesendangen, Switzerland.

patient room
furniture plan & reflected ceiling plan
In this project, I was required to design a general hospital patient room. The room had to be accessible with enough space for visitors and an area for sleeping for a family member. It was inspired by the orchid plant that promotes health and has healing properties.

The patient room was designed in order to make the patient feel comfortable and entertained without staring at blank hospital walls.

furniture design
In this project I had to design an urban piece of furniture inspired by a city for hospitality. I chose Moscow in Russia. I was also inspired by the most reactive element in the Periodic Table, Lithium, which is pronounced as “Litiy in Russian. Lithium is the 3rd element that has 3 outer shells, 3 protons, and 3 electrons. So I decided to create a 3-in-1 sustainable furniture piece.
