MICKEY: THE STORY OF A MOUSE

One of the world’s most beloved icons, Mickey Mouse is recognized as a symbol of joy and childhood innocence in virtually every corner of the globe. Dreamed up at a low point in Walt Disney’s burgeoning career, Mickey became an overnight sensation when he starred in the first synch-sound animated short, Steamboat Willie. Through the decades that followed, the character evolved into strikingly different versions of himself that reflect both his creator’s remarkable career and dramatic societal shifts in the nation he came to represent. In the fascinating documentary Mickey: The Story of a Mouse, director Jeff Malmberg and Oscar®-winning producer Morgan Neville (who previously teamed up together for Won’t You Be My Neighbor?) examine the cultural significance of the nearly 100-year-old cartoon mouse.

Streaming on Disney+ on Mickey’s Birthday, November 18th.

MOHEGAN REVEALS NEW NAME

Mohegan, the developer and manager of high-profile entertainment resorts in the US and beyond announced that the first destination to bring gaming to Pennsylvania in 2006, will now be known as Mohegan Pennsylvania.

“We recently refreshed our corporate name, going from Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment to Mohegan,” said Ray Pineault, CEO of Mohegan. “Many of our partners, stakeholders and valued guests commonly refer to our brand as ‘Mohegan,’ so the new title is a strategic decision that truly encapsulates our capabilities and values. To also create synergy across the Mohegan portfolio, especially as we continue to grow in-line with the Mohegan Tribe’s vision, destinations like Mohegan Pennsylvania have also rolled out a rebrand.”

This refreshed name change follows the rollout of Project Starlight, which will soon include the completion of a $10 million renovation to Mohegan Pennsylvania’s 237-room hotel. Other property enhancements as part of Project Starlight include the The Hive Taphouse, which is a new bar and live music venue home to a great entertainment calendar, various flat screens for the big game, 20+ beer options and a full dining menu. The Hive Taphouse is also home to Topgolf Swing Suites where guests can play virtual golf on well-known PGA courses and try their hand at other activities like the Quarterback Challenge.

“There is so much to be excited about as we approach the new year and that excitement stems from our dedicated team and leadership,” said Anthony Carlucci, President & GM of Mohegan Pennsylvania. “With a new name, revamped hotel, new attractions and the continued unrivaled guest service that has exemplified our brand and all Mohegan properties, we’re thrilled about the next phase of Mohegan Pennsylvania.”

It will be a busy off-season for Billy Eppler and Brian Cashman, the respective general managers of the Mets and Yankees. Eppler must deal with many players whose contracts expired at the conclusion of the World Series, as well as figuring out why his team ran out of gas in September and were defeated by the

San Diego Padres in the Wild Card Series. Cashman’s main task will be trying to lure Aaron Judge back into pinstripes, while trying to bridge the talent gap with their postseason tormentors, the Houston Astros.

The Sporting News named Mets skipper Buck Showalter the National League Manager of the Year.

Its editors made their choice based on the regular season. Had they waited, they undoubtedly would have chosen Phillies manager Rob Thomson.

The Mets will be holding their annual holiday coat drive on December 7. Anyone bringing a new or lightly used winter coat will receive a voucher for two free tickets to a 2023 Mets game.

Former Mets and Yankees pitcher, and current analyst for both ESPN and the YES Network, David Cone, used to tell sportswriters how much he wanted to be one when he was a player. I asked Cone before the Mets first Wild Card Series game, how true that story was. “It was. My intent was to go to the University of Missouri and study at their famous journalism school.”

The “World’s Borough,” Queens, has been home to a considerable number of national television sports personalities, and a lot of them have been making news.

NBC Sports sent out a press release last month congratulating “Sunday Night Football” play-by-play voice, and Bayside High School alum, Mike Tirico on calling his 200th career NFL game.

Warner Brothers Discovery Sports CEO Luis Silberwasser announced the entire “Inside the NBA” team of Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Lefrak City’s own Kenny Smith had signed long-term contracts. The irrepressible Barkley is clearly the star of the show, but do not underestimate the importance Kenny Smith, who was a star point guard in the NBA for years, knows how to set him up.

USBC WIN

Action continues hard and heavy in the newly reformatted Long Island Generations Bowling Tour (LIGBT) tournament series during this still-fresh season. Here’s a look at the traveling tournament organization’s latest winners:

AMF East Meadow saw Steven Kelly is Islip earn the $1,000 top prize in the handicap division by defeating Mitch Benov of Seaford 242-236 in the final shootout of the November 6 edition of the popular House Shot Series. Benov won $500 for second place; finishing third was Tom Catalano of North Babylon with a 195 worth $300. Rounding out the finalists was Ray Brooks of South Ozone Park, with a 158 worth $250.

It was actually a “double win” for Kelly, as earlier he had earned $370 by winning the scratch title with a 1,052 four-game total. Finishing second was Charles Ko of Palisades, NJ, with a 1016 worth $200; rounding out the top finishers in scratch was Guy Sereno of West Hempstead, with a 974 worth $150.

The LIGBT, sponsored by Storm, presented its second Sport Shot Series event at Herrill Lanes on October 30 and saw a first-time champion in Jennifer Bochicchio of Selden, who took home the $1,000 top prize after competing on the challenging 42’ Autobahn pattern.

The LIGBT returns with a special “Ultimate Handicap Doubles” tournament on Sunday, November 20 at AMF Wantagh (1 p.m. start). To get a full schedule of events and to get involved with these popular tournaments, log on to ligbtour. com or call (702) 530-0708.

ROLLING HARD OR SOFT: WHY IT MATTERS

The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) released a new research report in early November examining how bowling ball hardness changes with use and performance implications of ball hardness.

Key findings of this 2022 report include the following items:

• Urethane bowling balls get naturally softer with use. USBC data shows friction and shear forces along with lane oil exposure are contributing causes. However, this natural softening of bowling balls through use minimally impacts performance, if at all.

• Lower ball hardness at manufacture clearly impacts performance. Testing two versions of the same model urethane ball with different hardness out of the box shows very different performances. The softer ball is stronger.

• Chemically altering bowling balls to make them softer significantly impacts performance. The softer altered balls are stronger.

This 2022 report follows up on previous USBC research demonstrating urethane shell balls drop in hardness after use. Reactive shell balls have less significant changes, showing little to no drop in hardness after use.

USBC equipment specifications are designed to set boundaries on the manufacturing of bowling equipment. Manufactured hardness is a physical property of bowling balls that has clearly been demonstrated to have performance implications. Therefore, it is essential that manufacturing regulation in this area continues to ensure that the performance range allowed for bowling balls is maintained.

The full report can be found at BOWL.com/Hardness. - Dave Schroeder, USBC

Stephen A. Smith, has a new show on ESPN2 and ESPN Plus titled “NBA in Stephen A’s World.” He is still on the Worldwide Leader in Sports’ morning debate show, “First Take.”

Finally, Forest Hills High School alum Ian Eagle will replace Jim Nantz as the lead voice on NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for CBS and Warner Brothers Discovery in 2024. Eagle has one of the busiest schedules in sports as he calls NFL games on CBS and on Westwood Radio, as well as being the lead play-by-play voice for Brooklyn Nets telecasts on the YES Network.

Speaking of the Nets, their mercurial guard, Kyrie Irving, who refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19 without ever giving a concrete reason, and who once proclaimed the earth was flat (he was not kidding either), entered Kanye West territory last month by tweeting about an anti-Semitic film called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America” which is chock full of tropes such as Jewish slave ships. Nets owner Joe Tsai was forced to apologize on behalf of the Nets organization.

Tsai should make Irving watch the just-released

HBO documentary, “Tree of Life,” which gives detailed footage on the attack by a hate-filled murderer (Robert Bowers will stand trial in early 2023) on the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. There is detailed testimony from survivors and tearful recollections about those who lost their lives on October 27, 2018. Dallas Mavericks owner, and Pittsburgh native, Mark Cuban serves as an executive producer. Another Pittsburgher, Academy Award-winning actor Michael Keaton also has an executive producer credit.

Former ESPN “Sportscenter” anchor Jemele Hill has written her autobiography smartly titled “Uphill” (Henry Holt & Company). Hill grew up in Detroit and to say she had a hardscrabble upbringing would be a sizable understatement. She details her battles with ESPN executives and Chris Berman, as well as her hot and cold relationship with her mother. It is not an easy read but well worth the investment of your time.

The four-day conference, Advertising Week New York, has become marketing’s answer to Comic Con, as boldfaced names from all walks of life take part in seminars. Audacy, like many media companies, is betting big on podcasts. The company had WFAN morning man, and Central Islip native, Boomer Esiason speak about his “Gametime” podcast where he gets to chat with athletes past and present.

CLASSIC ROCK

TOM PETTY DAY

The love for Tom Petty and the unifying power of his music was ubiquitous throughout Gainesville as the University of Florida celebrated its inaugural Tom Petty Day honoring the legendary hometown icon all weekend long. Leading up to the Gators’ sold-out game against LSU on Saturday night, fans eagerly lined up at the Airstream pop-up shop for the co-branded merchandise collection with many items selling out, collected commemorative memorabilia and enjoyed an interactive 360 video booth.

SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio was also onsite, offering fans a chance to be onair during broadcasts, while a special game trailer featuring an acoustic version of “I Won’t Back Down” from the upcoming Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Live at the Fillmore (1997) album was enjoyed by all.

Additionally, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ multi-platinum Greatest Hits collection is available now in immersive Dolby Atmos and Spatial formats.

The theatrical event screenings will also feature two additional songs from the Knebworth performance to be played after the main feature, this content is exclusive to cinemas and will not appear on any further release of the film. The documentary will be coming to Paramount+ globally later this year.

Earlier this year Liam Gallagher defied all expectations and returned to Knebworth, some 26 years following Oasis’ historic 1996 shows. Performing to 170,000 fans across two sold out nights in one of the first major stage shows following the pandemic, this year’s event coincided with a third solo album, C’mon You Know, attaining Liam’s third number one spot for a studio release in the album charts.

NEW LIVE JOURNEY RELEASE

Frontiers Music Srl announced the upcoming release of Journey’s incredible Lollapalooza performance from Chicago, IL, which took place on July 31, 2021, ‘Live in Concert at Lollapalooza’ on December 9th.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, Journey have 25 gold and platinum albums, including the fifteen million selling Greatest Hits collection, with total sales adding up to 80 million records around the world.

As the band’s legend continues to grow larger and their touring gets bigger, they recently released a new studio album, ‘Freedom’ in July 2022. It was their first album of new material to be released in eleven years, since 2011’s ‘Eclipse’.

To those that know Dave Brandwein as the frontman of Turkuaz, the indie-Americana/folk-rock music of Band For Sale might seem like a radical change. But to the multi-instrumentalist and producer, the upcoming album, Sleeping Sun, Waking Moon, represents a return to his musical roots.

The new single, “Lookin’ High, Lookin’ Low” encapsulates the overarching themes of the album, distilling them down to one song about searching, hoping, trying (and trying again), but still feeling like you come up short.

The material and the performances are bolstered by appearances from former Lucius vocalist Andrew Burri, Train drummer Matt Musty, Grace Potter bassist Kurtis Keber, Stepkids drummer Tim Walsh, and original London Souls bassist Kiyoshi Matsuyama, among other special guests. The result is a captivating debut that collapses ten years into forty minutes; a mature, heartfelt ode to growth, discovery, and finding peace in your present circumstances, whatever they may be.

Now that spooky season is over, it’s time to dive straight into Christmastime! Just kidding, we all know there’s still another holiday left where we stuff our faces with family and friends and I sure as hell am not quite ready to get into the Christmas spirit just yet. Over the next month, NYC has some great shows to take you out of the real world and put you into a separate world.

Thanksgiving weekend is one of the biggest party weekends of the year and 2022 is no different. NYC is being graced with the presence of well known bass artist Peekaboo on Saturday, November 26, at the infamous Webster Hall. Peekaboo is a name I’ve been following for a while and is known for his deep and heavy bass sounds and somewhat ominous vibes throughout his sets. He dropped his new Secrecy EP back in July and has been popping up all over the place on his recent tour. With unique sound modulations and trap-like percussive riffs, this show will literally pull you into the music and leave you coming out a different human.

After you’ve been treated to some Peekaboo, make sure you stop by Webster Hall on Friday, December 2, to check out Of The Trees Codex Natura tour. Of The Trees has been on a nonstop rise to the top, recently opening up at Rezz Rocks in Colorado. There are not enough good things for me to say about this guy. Extremely humble, insanely intricate, and beautiful visuals of all scenery, and absolutely mind shattering sound. Another bass artist, Of The Trees brings in his own unique style with deep low ends and very ethereal nature sounds surrounding you. His sound always makes me feel like I’ve been transported into a secret forest with an eerie sense about it.

I’m lost trying to find my way out and each experience I have and being I encounter is personified in a different song. I showed some friends him live for the first time and they were blown away, just as I always am. This is a unique show that will be a next level audio and visual experience that will change your perception of the newer ranks of bass music.

But hey, maybe you like the nature feel but aren’t feeling like the heavy bass is for you. Well, that’s okay too. Emancipator will be making his way to Kings Theater in Brooklyn on Thursday, December 8, to bring chill nature production to the Big Apple. Emancipator always has a live violin player with him and is some of the most upbeat, yet serene, electronic music I’ve encountered. Starting some of

Emancipator

his iconic discography at the age of 19, Emancipator is no stranger to crisp production and beautiful composition. For chill music, I actually find it to be quite energetic and “groovable”. If Of The Trees is the antagonist’s forest, Emancipator is the field of spirits and good energy. You feel yourself being moved like a wave through the set and drawn into all of the details of each song. I’ll probably be checking this one out myself when I’m back in NY so maybe I’ll see you there.

Two new EPs have recently been dropped that I can’t stop bumping. The first is “Midheaven: Opus 01” from Deathpact. This two song EP is exactly what you might expect from the mysterious producer. It’s got all of the crazy sound design Deathpact is known for and minimalist sounds that just hit in all the right ways. The modulated vocal sounds, driving kick drum, and just pure evil wonkiness. This EP comes right on the heels of Deathpact playing four headlining shows on the same night in four different cities. Who is Deathpact? As it goes, we are all Deathpact.

The last EP is from one of my long time favorites Dirt Monkey. “Grape Licorice” gives us that signature Dirt Monkey sound that literally sounds like a monkey and all of the dirty, soul crushing wubs. His music always just makes me feel goofy

and his album artwork matches the overall vibe. No matter the year or what gets put out, I’ll never not be team Dirt Monkey. Go check it out for yourself and tell me it doesn’t make you lose your mind.

That’s all for me this time, folks. Feel free to drop any thoughts to richiegtechno@gmail.com. And remember to keep raging, my friends!

COUNTRY TWIN DUO HOBBS SISTERS

Twin country duo, the Hobbs Sisters, released their new single, “Love Breaks All The Rules.”

Written by Lauren and Hannah Hobbs, Kelly McKay, and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Forest Whitehead, this song describes the reckless feeling that falling in love can tend to feel like. With each twin in different stages of their love lives, this song caters to anyone who has fallen in love without considering the consequences. Listen to “Love Breaks All The Rules” at: https://lnk.to/LBATR.

“We wrote this song with our pro ducer, Forest Whitehead and one of our favorite co-writers, Kelly McKay. We wanted to write a song that would be really fun to perform at our full band shows and that could capture an energy that felt reckless and a little danger ous.” says the sisters.

“Love Breaks All The Rules” is the second single leading up to the duo’s upcoming EP, following their latest release “If You Wanted To.”

ALANA SPRINGSTEEN OPRY DEBUT

Fast-rising artist-songwriter Alana Spring steen received the ultimate birthday gift, making her Grand Ole Opry debut at 22. Invited by Country music superstar Luke Bryan to appear, she made her bucket list moment even more special by announcing her label signing with Columbia Records NY/Sony Music Nashville onstage and hav ing her family in attendance.

“I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate my birthday! So many dreams are coming true tonight. My heart is so full.”

Performing “While You’re At It,” off her recent EP HISTORY OF BREAKING UP (PART TWO), she also took the audience back to her childhood in Virginia Beach, VA, to hear a song she wrote when she was just 12 called “Hate It When I’m Right.” Dedicating the latter to her 10-year-old self who once sat in the Opry’s pews for the first time and to those in the audience chasing a dream, it was a full-circle moment for Springsteen. Once backstage, her father surprised her with a hand-painted pair of Dickies – as Springsteen has been known to paint.

CALLIE REIFF “CHAIN REACTION”

Callie Reiff has been a shining light and emerging artist on Dim Mak since the beginning of the year. But now, she’s inked an official deal with Steve Aoki’s famed imprint, a partnership between Callie’s management company Seven20 and Dim Mak, where the label will focus on publishing and licensing, while Callie Reiff’s team focuses on her live shows and merch.

With this signing also comes her new single “Chain Reaction.” The sassy release from Callie combines fun elements of electro-pop, with an indie vocal and unmissable groove.

On this unique partnership, Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki shares: “I am so excited to have Callie join the Dim Mak family. It’s been awesome to see her grow as an artist over the years through her production and DJing so it just made sense to work together. She has been working on a bunch of amazing music and I can’t wait for you all to hear it!”

Madison Beer releases her latest single “Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You),” which premiered on BBC’s Radio 1. “Showed Me” is the most recent track to come from Madison’s forthcoming project, the follow up to her smash debut Life Support. The official video for “Showed Me” also makes its debut today with a premiere on MTV.

The provocative throwback visual for “Showed Me” finds her in the role of a true femme fatale. With looks from Laquan Smith, Balenciaga, and Tom Ford’s Gucci, the video sees Madison taking back power from an unsuspecting playboy. The swaggering single, co-written by Madison, and video usher in a new era for the artist, one that sees her expanding her sonic boundaries and creative vision.

“Writing and making the video for ‘Showed Me’ was a really unique experience,” explains Madison. “This song samples The Turtles’ ‘You Showed Me.’ I’ve never used sampling or interpolation on a song before, but I’m always looking for new ways to experiment in the studio and pay homage to the classic sounds and melodies I loved growing up. This song is the perfect culmination of those things.”

DANCE MUSIC’S VOCAL QUEEN HALIENE

Songstress HALIENE has released her debut studio album, Heavenly. With A-list features and collaborations with dance music giants such as Armin Van Buuren, Excision, Seven Lions, and Gareth Emery to - most recently - ILLENIUM (on his GRAMMY-nominated, Billboard winning ‘Falling Embers’ album), she’s one of electronic music’s most entrusted singer-songwriters, now breaking ground as a solo artist herself.

Heavenly, HALIENE’s 12-track, groundbreaking body of work encompasses two poetic meditations, 10 original solo tracks including her duet with singer/ producer AMIDY, ‘Parachute’, her previous airwave smash, ‘Glass Heart’ and her third partnering with Markus Schulz, ‘Metamorphosis’.

Heavenly is available to stream now on Black Hole Recordings.

“BREANNA BARBARA “WEANING”

NYC’s Breanna Barbara released her latest single and video, ‘Weaning’. Following recent cuts ‘Diamond Light’ and ‘Landslide’, the single is the third to be lifted from the incoming ‘Nothin’ But Time’ LP out November 11th on Fuzz Club.

Barbara’s second full-length is a raw and immersive trip through the sounds of psychedelic rock and blues, anchored by her powerful vocals and unforgettable songwriting. Out today, ‘Weaning’ is the album’s soaring and cathartic closing track, a spine-tingling number ruminating on the need to wean ourselves off certain relationships and past versions of ourselves.

For the recording of ‘Nothin’ But Time’, Barbara and her band returned to Nashville’s Bomb Shelter studio with Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray For The Riff Raff) – with whom she recorded ‘Mirage Dreams’.

LAURA COX HEAD ABOVE WATER

After stepping into the spotlight with cover versions of blues and rock classics on YouTube, totaling 500,000 subscribers and 105 million views, Laura Cox has become the guitarist and singer with the most views in the French and international rock scene.

Cox’s internet visibility was followed by great acclaim by critics and rock fans for her own music, especially for Burning Bright (2019), her second album and the first to be released internationally by earMUSIC in collaboration with French label Verycords.

Cox will drop her next album Head Above Water on January 20 via earMUSIC. The album contains 11 great rock songs bursting with energy and great personality. Recorded at ICP Studios in Brussels by Erwin Autrique, it was mastered by multiple GRAMMY-winner Ted Jensen (Eagles, Norah Jones, Green Day).

Ella Jane follows her recent single “Party Trick” with another pop staple “How Do I Lose You”. Both are lifted from her project marginalia out via FADER Label (Clairo, Slayyyter, Matt and Kim) ahead of her debut headline US tour.

Ella Jane once again matches up pristine, upbeat pop with grim lyrics, singing about the anxiety that comes with being in one of those undefined “we’ll see” situation-ships. The video, directed by Aerin Moreno (Girlpool, Madison Beer), mirrors this combo of lighthearted and doubt, with a very camp alien encounter that could have gone in a much more gruesome direction. It’s easy to laugh along with Ella...

“’How Do I Lose You’ is a quintessential example of how much I love to pair fairly unhappy lyrics with upbeat, danceable music. I get such a kick out of tricking the listener like that. So despite its quick pace and jumpy melody, the track is really about the anxiety of being in an undefined, ‘let’s see where this goes’ type of (non-)relationship.”

METAL

JERRY LEE LEWIS

One of the last standing giants of rock and roll, Jerry Lee Lewis, has passed away, at the age of 87; he survived past Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and all the other original pioneers of the music idiom which was felt around the world, and culturally changed the world. “Great Balls of Fire” is his most highly recognized signature song, but his catalog of hits is astounding, and his performance style, which borrowed heavily from R&B artists of color, speaks for itself. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of any remaining survivors from the AM Top 40 transistor radio revolution which gave birth to ‘teen culture’.

TAYLOR SWIFT

The rituals of pop stardom continue right up to this moment in time, as Taylor Swift maintains her dominion at the top of the charts, such as they are. U2 lead singer Bono is on the radio at this very moment, announcing his desire to collaborate with Swift on a musical project some kind. The obvious hold she has had on the current generation of pop fans shows no signs of subsiding, as her new album,”Midnights”, debuts at #1 on Billboard’s chart, and the first single, “Anti-Hero” has already found a home on Z100. While trends and sounds come and go through the decades, loyal fan bases do not change (I must confess to still being a Diana Ross fanatic since 1964, as a pre teen who was enchanted by the Motown Sound), so have no fear. Pop culture and the music it spawns is alive and well.

NIGHTCLUBBING-THE BIRTH OF PUNK

Just in time for the holidays, Danny Garcia’s definitive documentary, “Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk In New York City”, is about to be released for sale as a DVD, as well as streaming on all the usual channels. The film gives long overdue credit to the NY nightclub called Max’s Kansas City, where The Velvet Underground and The New York Dolls, spread the seeds and gave birth to what became the worldwide phenom that came to be known as Punk. Everyone you can imagine is in it (even me...) and if you are a fan of this style of music, you will want this for your very own, so ask Santa in advance.

QUEENSRŸCHE “HOLD ON’’

Upon the release of their new studio album, ‘Digital Noise Alliance’, QUEENSRŸCHE have released a video clip for the song “Hold On.”

The band comments: “‘Hold On’ primarily focuses on the misfortune of social media and how this new societal landscape has become a false barometer of ones’ values, essentially, influencing and affecting peoples’ selfworth. Reminding people to not believe everything they see, and to not buy into the glorification of fame, money, and popularity. It strives to empower those that have been blinded by the distorted reality of the glorified social media lifestyles. It is a song reminiscent of older, simpler times.”

The band recently embarked on another US tour with Judas Priest.

BLUR DRUMMER’S DEBUT ALBUM,

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree shared the video for his new single, “Devil’s Island.” The track is lifted from his debut album, Radio Songs, set for release on January 20, 2023 via Cooking Vinyl. It was shot on location in the UK, stretching from Hythe to Dungeness, Kent with director Guy Gotto.

Rowntree explained,“I was keen to work with Guy Gotto, who makes gorgeous and interesting video art. He visualized the song as a journey through a bleak but beautiful landscape. We decided to film along the narrow gauge railway from Hythe to Dungeness, which runs through some of the most desolate but dazzling landscape in the country, a vista of abandoned boats, lighthouses and drama. The drama reached fever pitch when we were thrown off the estate for not having a permit. A bleak end to a beautiful day.”
