T-Systems South Africa Managing Director Dineo Molefe has been granted an award for the Digital Industry Professional of the Year 2019/2020. The accolade was granted by the SA Professional Services Awards sponsored by Sanlam and W. Consulting. Professionals from various organisations were set to gather at a gala dinner in Montecasino Ball Room on the evening of 19 March 2020 to honour the best amongst them. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the SAPSA Awards were cancelled and the winners announced.
Janette Minnaar, the chair of the adjudication panel explained how the winners were determined. “Individuals were judged based on a host of attributes including demonstration of leadership skills, changing of paradigms and innovation within the bounds of available resources. We also conferred a number of Lifetime Achievement Awards to deserving recipients who had served their professions faithfully for many years,” said Minnaar. In 2018, T-Systems South Africa tasked Dineo Molefe to take over the reigns as
Managing Director to steer the company on a new direction, focusing on medium sized businesses as well as large enterprises with an offering that is geared to propel its customers into a new, competitive and digitised era of commerce. As a seasoned professional, Dineo’s strength lies in not only finance but also in repositioning business for growth and sustainability. She has achieved this by shifting and repositioning its market focus, transforming the business to increase efficiency and customer base, whilst navigating the businesses through a number of critical issues.
“The judges took note of Molefe’s passion for supporting and mentoring young women to progress their careers,” remarked Minnaar. “She has received various awards in her career including being recognised as a positive role model and being featured in a variety of publications that feature women of influence.”
