2022 Social & Environmental Responsibility Highlights
Land Conservation
To date, we have protected 1430 acres of wilderness land containing provincially significant wetlands including a 188-acre property that hasn’t been logged in over 70 years. In 2022 we donated above and beyond our typical contribution to the Nature Conservancy of Canada to support their new Boreal Wildlands Project which will protect approximately 2000 acres.
Trees for Schools Program
This year, we donated 5000 tree seedlings and 2000 wildflower seed packs to Southwestern Ontario elementary schools in celebration of Earth Day.
Plastic Packaging Removal
We have removed more than 90% of the plastic in our packaging and are working to eliminate the rest by the end of this year. We did not hit our original target of summer 2021 for this goal but are continuing to test several options to get us there.

Dewey Video Recording and Doc Cam Stand with Light (DCS7)
Recording lessons and connecting with students can be possible (and affordable) with just the basics. With a built-in ring light right on the stand, recordings can be properly illuminated.

Portable True HEPA Air Purifier (AIR1)
Air purification is a key component in improving air quality indoors. There are many benefits to having good air quality, including increased student engagement, improved well-being for allergy and asthma sufferers and reducing the transmission of viruses, including COVID-19. The viruses spread through aerosolized particles that tend to hang in the air unless they are blown away or removed; air purifiers can do both.

Fan speed, ceiling height, age of HVAC and other ventilation are all variables that affect total air changes per hour (ACH). To achieve optimum air purification for your room size, please contact your Copernicus representative to calculate the right number of units for your space. You will need to provide the room size and ceiling height.
Pre-filter is made of a micron mesh material that prevents larger particles such as pet fur, dander and course dust from clogging the HEPA filter. It captures particles that are 2.5mm in size at a rate of more than 99.9% and can easily be cleaned by hand.
