Texas Elite Volleyball

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong using a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. It is a game that is appropriate for all ages and skill levels. Rules for pickleballare simple, making it a great introductory sport. it can also be quite the challenging, fast-paced and competitive game when people become more experienced at playing

Learn! Train! Compete! All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. This co-ed program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player. Students will be assisted in developing fundamental skills through drills that focus on agility, speed, technique, and scrimmaging aimed at developing students into overall players.

Lunar New Year

Brrr – Dive into the coolest event this winter, our Polar Bear Plunge at Sun Valley. Participants will brave the icy water in this invigorating challenge only for the bravest of the brave. Afterward enjoy the hot cocoa bar to warm up and the sweet taste of success.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon, a very lucky year indeed! The Dragon symbolizes power, nobleness, honor, and luck. At Thrive this Winter, we will ring in the Lunar New Year in style. Learn all about this beautiful holiday through an afternoon of crafts, food, and programming.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Spring Festival

Dads, be prepared to dance the night away at this magical evening with your little princess. There will be music, snacks, photo ops, and carriage rides through Memorial Park. Space for both the dance and carriage rides are limited so be sure to secure your ticket immediately, you won’t want to miss out. This event is created specifically for fathers and daughters under the age of 18.

Ring in the Spring season with this event full of games, activities, and fun for the whole family. During the event, make sure to check in and participate in your age’s egg hunt time. Participants will turn their eggs in after the hunt to receive a goody bag with their candy. Eggs will not be stuffed so be sure to turn them in after the hunt.

Thrive Color Fun Run 2k & 5K Tighten up those laces and get ready for the most colorful fun run you’ve ever been to. Enjoy a beautiful 2 or 3 lap run through Memorial Park as you get doused with water and color. This trail is easy for all runners so feel free to jog, run, or walk the course and enjoy the fun. Afterwards, the party continues with giveaways from local vendors, food trucks, and music in the park. Meals on Wheels

Euchre is an offshoot of Juckerspiel, a game that became widely popular throughout Europe during the Napoleonic era. This game is best with four participants, playing two against two as partners. All skill levels are welcome.

Come enjoy a pre-packaged lunch from Meals on Wheels and have the option to stay and socialize with other active adult members. You must sign up by noon the day prior to guarantee a meal.

Youth Weekly Storytime Classes Ages 0-6

Join us as we reinforce pre-reading skills through age-appropriate early literacy classes that include stories, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays. Stop by the library for a full schedule of classes. Parent or caregiver must attend and participate with children during all classes. Space is limited, and a free ticket is required to attend. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the class start time at the Children’s Desk. Age guidelines are enforced for corresponding classes.
