Art in Your Park

Do you love your neighborhood park? Do you wish you could capture it in a timeless painting? Join us this Fall for Art in Your Park, a semi-guided painting program in which you will learn to paint the great outdoors in different parks around Lewisville. We will be experimenting with watercolors and oil paints on various days and parks will rotate around Lewisville. Easels, palettes, and light refreshments provided by Thrive, please provide your own canvases, paints, and chairs - if you so choose.

Thrive Health Expo

Make your health your priority. Enjoy vendors from different healthcare professionals, including physical and mental health. There will be health screenings, flu shots, door prizes, and more! Participate in this year’s activities and take steps towards a better lifestyle.

LightCycles: Glow in the Dark Bike Ride

Let’s light up the night with the coolest bicycling and safety event in town! LightCycles is a unique, family friendly program that encourages riders of all ages to learn about cycling safety and have fun. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes with glow sticks and light up items, however strobes are prohibited. Participants must provide their own bikes and helmets and are invited to bike our illuminated trail through Memorial Park.

Family Camp Night

Bring your flashlights and we’ll bring the fun for this engaging, outdoor program. Families will get the opportunity to bond over s’mores, campfire stories, and stargazing. Campers will get the opportunity to learn traditional camp songs and participate in glow-in-the-dark activities as well.

Thrive-O-Ween

Spooky scary skeletons and shivers run down your spine at our inaugural Thrive-o-Ween! Join us for an evening of spook-tacular fun at Thrive. We’ll have food, music, games, and fun for the whole family. We’ll also have costume contests for each age group and a trunk-or-treat.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with your community this year at the Thrive. Join us for two hours of food, music, dance, and celebration. Whether you’ve celebrated before or know nothing of the holiday, this event is for everyone. Bring a picture or an offering to add to our community ofrenda and learn about this beautiful celebration of remembrance.

Yi Peng

Celebrated in Chiang Mai and across North Thailand, the Yi Peng Lantern Festival is an event that uses lanterns to represent that transition from darker days of the rainy season to the lighter days of the cool season. This colorful festival is a chance for people to pay respect and symbolically let go of bad memories while making a wish for good luck. Join us at this beautiful, colorful cultural celebration and learn about Yi Peng while making your own lantern.

Santa’s Workshop

If you’re looking for a chance to make some gifts this holiday season for your loved ones, come down to our pop-up North Pole and work with Santa’s elves to make your very own handmade gift. Each person will get to choose one craft from a variety of options to personalize for their loved ones.

Individuals or families will build their own trebuchet and test their devices by chunkin’ punkins’ across Memorial Park! Prizes for best decorated and furthest pumpkin will be provided.

The buoyancy of the water allows for less stress on the joints, increased range of motion while the resistance of the water increases strength. Weekly Storytime Classes

Ages 0-6

Join us as we reinforce pre-reading skills through age-appropriate early literacy classes that include stories, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays. Stop by the library for a full schedule of classes.

Parent or caregiver must attend and participate with children during all classes.

Space is limited, and a free ticket is required to attend. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the class start time at the Children’s Desk.
