Introduction From our strategically placed distribution depot we are able to supply a wide range of wood fuel products. You may choose from a range comprising modern high performance briquettes, peat, traditional kiln dried logs, kindling and BSL certificated wood pellets for biomass boilers. We run our own wood fuel retail shop serving a population of just 50,000. In four years we have built our retail turnover from £148,000 to over £500,000 pa. Market Growth The market for modern high performance wood briquettes is growing exponentially, driven by the number of households fitting multifuel stoves. The market for wood pellets is developing rapidly due to the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) which pays households and businesses to fit and run biomass boilers. In Dumfries, serving a population of around 50,000, we have increased our retail turnover from £148,000 to £235,000 to £360,000 to over £500,000 during the last four years. We may be able to help you achieve similar figures. Increasing numbers of customers are moving away from traditional logs and coal to modern high performance briquettes which are clean, dry, consistent, easy to handle, stack and store, and generate excellent heat and flame characteristics.
Sales Volume If you are simply stocking a small selection of fuel as an addition to your existing product line, then we can supply individual one tonne pallets (single product type only). If you intend to fulfil the retail potential in your area by offering a comprehensive range of briquettes, pellets and logs then you should expect to require a full mixed load of 24 one tonne pallets per week or around 1,000 pallets per year.

Opportunities The current wood fuel market is dominated by local log suppliers working independently of each other with no joint marketing strategy or quality control. The usual complaints customers have about local logs is that they are of inconsistent quality, uncertain volume and weight and are often too damp to burn. Over the years we have sourced a range of high performance wood briquettes with different burning characteristics which suit all requirements from easy start, quick heat and great flame to long daytime and overnight burn. These briquettes are easy to handle, stack and store, and give consistent performance at a price competitive with local log suppliers. Payment Terms
The majority of our stock comes from Europe and we are required to pay our suppliers prior to delivery. Consequently, we in turn must receive payment at the time of your order.
