City Magazine is all about supporting our local businesses, restaurants, and shops; it’s our mission! That’s why every year we publish the City’s Best issue. The City’s Best poll allows Jefferson City to support their favorite places, people, and services. For example, you’ll notice the beautiful cover that features our very own Central Diary ice cream. Central Diary, along with Arris’ Pizza, received more votes than any other winner: they are two of our oldest establishments in town, and also some of the most iconic places for locals and outof-town visitors to frequent. They are destinations that deserve to be celebrated because they are an important fiber of our community, as are the rest of our winners. I hope you enjoy the City’s Best feature and recognize some familiar faces of local business owners, doctors, musicians, vets, stylists, contractors, financial advisors, chefs, etc. If you see winners around town, be sure to congratulate them and thank them for their contributions to the Jefferson City community. You’ll notice that this issue is visually beautiful. Just take a look at the outstanding City’s Best food: best pancakes, best burger, best sushi, best pizza, best desserts, best coffee, and best beer, just to mention a few. When you are deciding where to dine or be entertained, take a look at the City’s Best Directory and choose to celebrate with our local establishments. These are the people and places that create our strong community. Community is about people coming together for a common goal. Our goal at City Magazine is to continue to help our local businesses thrive and share their services and products with our readers through the magazine and our social media platforms.
