The artist believes in the work able to stir emotions and works for the definition of the unrepeatable piece, looking for diversity as opposed to seriality: all her works in fact The glass articles by Isabella Bertocco are unique examples. Since 2003 are elementary forms inside she has been working about the theme which the artist pieces together complex “Love letters”, on big-sized canvas and charming worlds: glass, glass paste, and on glass; she has conceived a passion different kinds of glass composed for the word and writing communication in fusing relating of many microcosms through peace and love messages in which recall night skies, seascapes, landscapes and approach a lyricism made opposition to all what surrounds us today. The “Love letters” are positive of stories, thoughts, moods. Traces works where the colours which mark the form, charge it with meanings and complicate it through are mainly blue and tender and shaded sky-blues and the love message is given transparencies, colours, wrinkledness, inserting the golden writing: however texture. In her glass items Isabella Bertocco shows her passion for the action of the words there is only a graphic sign, almost a glass-incorporated decorative together with the ability of thinking motif. As a result in the exhibitions and planning, which develop from her works are immediately recognizable the studies and activity as designer and for this reason her language and art director in the visual is always appreciated; it is not just communication sector. Her passion a mere chance that in the last years for glass grows deeper during courses with her works she has joined in several and training periods given by famous artists, utilizing the technique of “glass fusing” which, though long-lasting, difficult and expensive for the employed materials, allows her both to conceive and carry out the projects. Thus, in her valuable objects Mrs. Bertocco tells about a nature whose forms are archetypal; the glass and the signs crossing them are the result of a long-standing pictorial activity Mrs. Bertocco, in a fundamentally abstract language, reproposes in glass, adding light and transparency. The consequences are glass items which can be read as objects but endowed with the virtuality of the work of art. The artist has developed a passionate liking for colour and the strong contrasts and her favourite shapes are the square and the circle for its symbolic features (perfection, homogeneity, eternity and spirituality), the circle being the simplest shape but also the richest with meanings and associations with man, life, God. She sometimes reprocesses artisan archetypes, giving her works basic outlines while laying on them transparent structures, opalescent colours, moving lines, but her attention is to colour for the emotion it brings to mind and to the glass surface In her polychrome fused glass creations transpires the indomitable passion for art and her personal research and experimentation work

national and international events, as the cultural project “The glass way”, itinerant exhibition in the National Museums of many Middle East cities, in India and some European capital cities; the one-man show “Fragile”, following the invitation of Padua culture assessorship and previously she exposed in “Changing transparencies”, exhibition where the organizers placed her works among those of eleven world-famous glass artists. In December 2003 she opened in Padua an expositive space, “Art and Glass”, with her works on permanent show.
