To register for a class, start by creating an account on www.recreationliveshere.com/recreg If you already have an account, skip to step 3.

FIRST TIME USERS: CREATE AN ACCOUNT

On the REGISTRAION page, click on the tab labeled LOGIN and create an account. During the process, you'll be prompted to list all family members who will be participating in activities, classes, and programs. Listing each member will allow you to register them for a class and pay any required fees.

Youth Events Easter Eggstravaganza - 120530 Friday, April 15, 10 a.m. - Noon The Easter Bunny is stopping by to celebrate the 15th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza! Search for eggs in the water during our egg splash in the indoor pool; take part in our traditional egg hunt in the gym; and enjoy open gym activities, games, and a chance to win door prizes with your child on this sweet and special day! Bring your Easter basket and swimsuit! Open gym activities will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Egg hunts will start at approximately 10:15 a.m. (Wave 1 - Pool), 10:45 a.m. (Wave 2 - Pool), 11:15 a.m. (Wave 3 - Pool), and 11:45 a.m. (Wave 4 - Gym, Non-Swimmers). Kids’ Nite Out - 115800 Saturdays through May 21, 7 - 10:30 p.m. Kid’s Nite Out (KNO) Across America is a youth activity program held weekly at the Windsor Community Recreation Center. KNO provides a fun, safe, active environment for every participant. A variety of games and activities are offered, such as swimming, dancing to a DJ, sports tournaments, arts and crafts, and more! Nationally background-checked, attentive, and energetic staff monitor all areas. KNO maintains a 1:25 staff-participant ratio, and a local police officer is on duty at each event to ensure the safety of all participants. Parents must bring their child into the facility upon arrival, and participants cannot leave until a parent or authorized guardian comes into the building for pick up. Admission is $15 per person. Dinner vouchers are also available for purchase for $7. This includes pizza and a drink or sub sandwich, chips, and a drink. Dates are subject to change. MUSEUMS Art & Heritage Center Formerly Windsor’s Town Hall built in 1909, this historic building is now a hub for art, culture, and history in Windsor. The Art & Heritage Center hosts a number of exhibitions throughout the year, both from the museum’s collection and from outside organizations. The Art & Heritage Center is also the location of much of Windsor’s cultural programming. Windsor History Museum Opening May 27, 2022 Unlock Windsor’s past at the Windsor History Museum (formerly Boardwalk Park Museum)! Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop - 111550

Drop-in for a game of pool with friends or just practice on your own. Please note: card and mahjong players will be using the Active Adult Lounge during these times, as well.

If you are caring for a loved one at home, this workshop will help you learn to reduce stress, guilt, and anger. Lean relaxation techniques, set goals, and problem-solve (family caregivers only). This workshop meets once a week for six weeks. It is FREE, but registration is required by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 970-400-6117. Note: class will not be held on February 21 due to Presidents’ Day.

Walking Levels The following Walking Levels will be assigned to each Active Adult trip or tour to help you decide which trips and tours are suitable for you. Each level is based upon research done by staff. The Windsor Community Recreation Center reserves the right to change levels, if necessary, when additional information becomes available.

Healthier Living Workshop - 111550 In this chronic disease self-management program, you will learn tools to better self-manage your chronic condition(s), like heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, COPD, etc. Learn to apply the knowledge you already know, such as proper nutrition, developing an exercise program, problem-solving, and setting achievable goals. Meet once a week for six weeks. This class is FREE for those 60 years or older, but registration is required by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 970-400-6117.

In late January, appointments will be available online through the AARP Tax-Aide site locator. The website will provide information about the location and how to make an appointment. Windsor Ride Program - 111558 The Windsor Ride Program provides transportation assistance to Windsor residents (age 55 and older) who are unable to drive themselves or do not have alternate transportation. Individuals who do not meet the age criteria, but need ride assistance, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The Windsor Ride Program can be used for non-emergency medical appointments, shopping at local businesses, banks, grocery stores, the post office, hardware stores, pharmacies, general stores, and hair salons. In addition, rides are also provided to and from the Friendly Fork Café lunches at the Community Recreation Center. The following is a schedule of the days and times when appointments may be scheduled through the Senior Ride Program.

Swim Team Windsor Dolphins Swim Team - 110410 Our goal is to develop skills and sportsmanship within a fun environment. Participants must be able to swim 25 continuous yards, front crawl with rotary breathing and be familiar with the four competitive strokes.

This course provides entry-level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, and to provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS arrive and take over. You must bring a swim suit, towel, and course materials, as well as attend every class to pass the course. Successful completion of the course will result in certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR / AED, and First Aid. Certifications last two years. Kenpo Karate Kenpo Karate emphasizes martial arts skills, integrity, and individual achievement. It is strongly based in self-defense, as well as traditional katas, or forms, presented in a well-organized curriculum. If yes, then join us for a season of great skill building and fun performances on the Cheer Spirit Colorado Performance Cheer Team. FITNESS Fitness Fitness Classes The Windsor Community Recreation Center offers land and water group fitness and indoor cycle classes. The current class schedule is available at the CRC Front Desk and online, and is regularly updated. The CRC reserves the right to cancel or change a class format to meet member needs and requests. Start Smart Basketball teaches children the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball while they work one-onone with their parents. Since 2002, SuperTots has engaged kids, ages 2 to 5, in physical activity in a noncompetitive environment that is safe and fun above all else. SuperTots knows kids are hardwired to learn through play. For that reason, they’ve designed an engaging, skill-building curriculum in which “tots” learn through a series of fun games. They will acquire athletic skills and fitness, but also develop an interest and love of sports. Programs run 50 minutes and will meet once a week for six weeks at a time. All programs are $89. Spring Soccer Recreational soccer provides the basic fundamentals of soccer with an emphasis on FUN! Practices will begin week of March 28. Reduced Fee Program The Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture Reduced Fee Program is funded through generous donations from multiple sources, including the Windsor Town Board and United Way of Weld County. Reduced fees are available for Town of Windsor residents meeting qualification guidelines, including proof of income and household size taken from the most recent IRS tax form and proof of residency taken from a property tax certification, Town of Windsor utility bill, or rental agreement. At the Parent Meetings we will conduct Team Sideline training, our online schedule and team roster system. We will also discuss general sporting parental etiquette and expectations. All parents should plan to attend this portion of the meeting, as this is all new and important information. Concussion training educates parents on the signs and symptoms of concussions while emphasizing the seriousness of head injuries. If you have attended the concussion training you are not required to attend again. The sport-specific portion of the meeting covers season schedules, rules, and more.
