SPORTS Youth Skyhawks Camps Since 2002, SuperTots has engaged kids, ages 2 to 5, in physical activity in a noncompetitive environment that is safe and fun, above all else. SuperTots knows kids are hardwired to learn through play. For that reason, they’ve designed an engaging, skill-building curriculum in which “tots” learn through a series of fun games. They will acquire athletic skills and fitness, but also develop an interest and love of sports. Programs run 50 minutes and meet once a week for six weeks at a time. All programs are $89. Please view their website at www.skyhawks.com/colorado to register for camp and to find additional information. Camps: SoccerTots is their flagship program. Playable on almost any surface, these soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for youngsters to get into. Younger age groups focus on developing motor skills and self-confidence; older classes focus more on developing core soccer skills and personal focus, and introduce an element of light competition. The instructor-to-student ratio is kept small to maximize individual development, and, above all else, they promote fun, fun, fun!

38

1stDownTots (Football) is a development program that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching the sport of football and developing fundamental skills. The goal is to build fitness, muscle coordination, and football fundamentals, while also creating a love of the game. They do not do any tackling or blocking at this level. Sport-Specific Requirements: • Participant-to-coach ratio: 8:1 (SuperTots) • Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, water bottle, and running shoes • Food to bring: Two snacks and water bottle Registration Deadline: See www.skyhawks.com/colorado Location: Eastman Park (if there is inclement weather, will be moved to Windsor CRC)
