cyclorama
This Labour Weekend join us in Arrowtown for an absolute e-bike extravaganza!
We have curated six trail rides that explore this special part of the country. Cyclorama is an event that, while showcasing all things e-Bike, is prioritising facilitating connection and involvement of Arrowtown businesses to all visitors and participants to the festival. Many businesses are featured as part of the trail rides, and are also participating in the Festival Village.
So - we are proudly Arrowtowncentric!!

Shaping Arrowtown’s Future
Join the AVA and APBA on Wednesday 21st September for our Meet the Candidates Event at Athenaeum Hall, 7-8.30pm.
For the first time we have the opportunity to elect three councillors to represent the newly created Arrowtown-Kawarau Ward. We are lucky that six community members have put their hands up for the chance to represent us over the next 3 years.
You’ll have an opportunity to ask candidates their position on the issues that you care about most, from heritage to the environment, development and community.
It’s an important time for our district, much change is ahead, so it’s critical to be informed and have your say at the ballot box.
Community Forum
In 2017 the Arrowtown Community Visioning report was produced. This was after a comprehensive process of community workshops and task force consideration of the big issues our town may face, and all under the guidance of the Whakatipu based Shaping our Future Board.
5 years on, the vision has been reviewed by a group of local volunteers to see what has changed, what has been achieved, and what the recommendations for action should look like to make them relevant to today.
The group reviewed the content relating to 5 key themes addressed by the 2017 working groups, updated the vision statements, success descriptors and added some new key performance indicators, and recommendations for action.
Now the community plays a crucial role developing recommendations and strategies for an updated vision. The AVA invites you to participate in a community forum on Wednesday 28th September at Athenaeum Hall, 7.30-9.30pm, doors open 7pm.

arrowtown spring flower show
Spring has sprung. Thank goodness I say. We really need to celebrate spring in these parts. The winter seemed long and wet.
This year we will welcome back our wonderful regular supporters, but we would love to see some new contributors. There are lots of new people in town, so either bring along something to show (entries to be brought to the Arrowtown Hall-Thursday 29th 1-8pm) or come to the show Friday the 30th- 1-5pm. Please note we do not accept entries on the morning of the show.
We are a friendly bunch and it's easy to enter. You can enter flowers, plants, floral displays, crafts and baking. There is a section for children as well, (Arrowtown Junior School do their entries at school.) There are also some great plant and craft stalls. Fabulous cream teas served.
This is the 99th year of this wonderful community event, come along and be part of it. Look out for the big 100th celebration next year.
Pick up a schedule at the Lakes District Museum or email Wendy Clarke wendy.clarke@arrowtown.school.nz

The Akarua Arrowtown Autumn Festival Committee are delighted to announce the appointment of Catherine Fallon as the new Festival Coordinator, who has taken the reins for the 2023 festival.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with the local community and festival committee to program and deliver a world-class event for our unique town. The last two years have been challenging and I am looking forward to putting this behind us and delivering a vibrant and exciting festival next autumn,” says Catherine Fallon.
