La nuova edizione del catalogo Sir Safety System 2011 rappresenta il raggiungimento del nostro ultimo obiettivo. Un progetto ambizioso e dalle caratteristiche particolarmente innovative. Le novità di questa edizione si traducono infatti in prodotti e linee nuove, in inedite soluzioni di protezione e in progetti all’avanguardia tutti volti a proteggere chi lavora e a migliorare le condizioni di lavoro e la vita delle persone. Questa edizione in modo particolare è stata concepita e sviluppata in un’ottica di massima fruibilità, chiarezza, maneggevolezza ed immediatezza. Il filo conduttore che sin dall’inizio ci ha guidati è stato infatti quello di riuscire a coniugare la facilità di consultazione con la necessità di presentare in modo chiaro ed esauriente gli oltre 2.000 prodotti Sir. Un binomio complesso, un obiettivo ambizioso che corre e si sviluppa lungo ben 360 pagine. Pagine suddivise in 11 capitoli, ognuno dei quali comprende al suo interno delle sottocategorie più specifiche. Le 11 sezioni sono presentate nell’indice prodotti e rilevabili anche attraverso la rubricatura cromatica che a colpo d’occhio conduce al capitolo di interesse in modo immediato.
SAFETY AT 360 PAGES The new edition of the SIR Safety System catalog 2011 represents the achievement of our latest goal. An ambitious project with particularly innovative features. In this edition, our innovations are put into new products and series, in fresh solutions in the world of protection and in cutting-edge projects designed to protect workers and improve working conditions and people’s lives. This edition has been particularly created and developed aiming to maximum availability, clarity, handiness and quickness. From the beginning, the guiding thread has been the ability to combine an easy consultation with the need to clearly and comprehensively present more than 2.000 Sir products. A complex combination, an ambitious goal running through and developing a good 360 pages. Pages are subdivided in 11 chapters, each of them including specific subcategories. The 11 sections are presented in the products index and detectable through a color coded indexing that, at a glance, leads immediately to the chapter of interest. Each section is characterized by a double introductive page, where technical data are reported alongside
Ogni sezione è caratterizzata da una prima doppia pagina introduttiva, dove accanto ai prodotti di punta vivono gli schemi tecnici, grande novità di questa edizione, che illustrano in modo chiaro ed efficace i plus tecnici dei prodotti. A seguire nella doppia pagina successiva tutti gli altri capi che compongono la linea. Ad esplicare le caratteristiche dei capi anche la simbologia di riferimento, quest’anno ampliata e approfondita: ci sono loghi che illustrano il campo di applicazione dei capi, come ad esempio il Food Safe nel caso del Symbol Bianco Alimentare, o loghi che evidenziano gli elementi caratterizzanti e gli aspetti tecnici della linea, come nel caso delle Doppie Cuciture ad incastro, o del HLS che consiste nel badge a scomparsa che può essere inserito all’interno della tasca per un completo anonimato nelle ore post-lavorative. Dunque una modalità di comunicare articolata su due piani di lettura: un primo iconico per una comprensione sintetica e veloce ed un secondo basato sui testi, per un approfondimento maggiore delle peculiarità dei capi e dei dispositivi e dunque per trovare subito il prodotto che soddisfa le proprie esigenze professionali.

In the following pages, the remaining items of the same series are displayed. A greater and more precise range of symbols and logos have been used to better explain the characteristics of the garments: there are logos that illustrate the application sector of the garments, such as the Food Safe logo in the case of the Symbol White for food processing, or the characterizing elements and the technical aspects of the series, as for the symbol Jointed Double stitching, or HLS, which is the retractable badge placed inside the pocket for complete anonymity in the non-working hours. Therefore, a two-ways reading communication modality: the first based on icons for a quick and concise understanding and the second based on the texts for an in-depth study of the peculiar characteristics of the garments and the equipment to then find the product that suits one’s professional needs.

Proprio per andare incontro alle esigenze e alle richieste della clientela, sempre più esperta ed attenta nella scelta dei dispositivi di protezione e in tutto l’abbigliamento da lavoro, Sir ha elaborato delle tavole grafiche dove, raggruppate per linee di prodotto, vengono riportate le misure relative a ciascuna taglia, quanto a lunghezza della manica, torace, vita, collo. In order to meet the needs and demands of customers, ever more experienced and careful in the choice of protective equipment and working garments, Sir has designed tables where, grouped by product series, each size’s measures are reported, as the length of sleeve, chest, waist and collar.
La Guida alla scelta della taglia si è rivelata di fondamentale importanza per individuare la dimensione giusta del proprio abbigliamento da lavoro, e dunque per lavorare sicuri ma anche in completo comfort. Capi dalle dimensioni precise non procurano stress e fanno sentire in chi li indossa piena libertà di movimento e di azione. Un approfondimento davvero importante, un altro servizio Sir per le aziende ma dedicato all’utilizzatore finale per cui Sir ha sempre un’attenzione particolare.

Tutto ciò si traduce in una specifica attenzione ai contenuti: per una maggiore chiarezza e consapevolezza per chi sceglie i capi Sir e per l’utilizzatore finale che quotidianamente li indossa, i pittogrammi sono da sempre riportati in modo chiaro sul catalogo prodotti, accanto alla descrizione di ciascun capo. Dal catalogo poi si ritrovano anche all’interno del capo direttamente sull’etichetta che riporta anche la norma di riferimento, oltre al nome e al codice dell’articolo.

NEW SAFETY LOGOS Our care for the end-user is always lively and productive. It guides each of our choices.This is expressed in a specific attention to contents: for greater clarity and awareness for the those who choose Sir working garments and for the end user who daily wears them, the pictograms have been shown with clarity on the catalog, alongside each product’s description.They can also be found on the label inside the garment which also is marked with the norm, in addition to the item’s name and code. In some ranges of products, the labels displaying the logos and series specific symbols, are made out of fabric and sewn also on the outside of the garment. And also for the footwear section, the symbols have been increased in this edition. Ad hoc designed logos are put near each article and express the type of: sole, insole, lining, midsole and toe cap. In so doing, the reader will have an immediate perception of the technical characteristics of each shoe and catch at sight the advantages that characterize it.

In this edition, in order to increase readability and quickness, the pictograms are color-coordinated according to the referenced section. tutto firmato Sir Safety System Per capi curati sin nel minimo dettaglio, ideati e progettati e quindi anche realizzati internamente, Sir Safety System ha creato oramai molti anni fa un laboratorio interno e ha realizzato una sede produttiva propria in Romania. In questo stabilimento e nel laboratorio produttivo di S.Maria degli Angeli vengono prodotti indumenti da lavoro e High Risk. Queste due centri insieme assicurano una produzione di 2.500 capi al giorno. Lo spirito che infatti guida Sir a realizzare anche la produzione è quello di ottenere risultati sempre superiori, capi dalla qualitĂ

e dalle performances elevate per una sicurezza che sia sempre incrementata, senza fermarsi ai giĂ interessanti risultati raggiunti, per migliorare il comfort, il benessere e soprattutto la sicurezza di chi lavora e questi capi li indossa tutto il giorno, tutti i giorni.
FROM THE PROJECT TO THE END RESULT: ALL DESIGNED SIR SAFETY SYSTEM Many years ago, in order to produce clothing designed and realized with painstaking care, Sir Safety System set up an internal manufacturing department and has also established a production site in Romania. On this plant and in the workrooms of S. Maria degli Angeli, workwear and High Risk garments are produced. Jointly, these two sites provide an output of 2.500 pieces per day. The spirit, that drives Sir to produce on its own, comes from the desire to achieve superior results, in making garments with greater performances and quality for an increased safety, without leveling off on results already achieved. Always striving for better through an improving comfort, well-being and especially the safety of workers, who wear these garments all day, every day.

8 anni fa ha iniziato a lavorare in Romania per Sir, come è cominciata? Nella mia vita ho lavorato per lunghissimo tempo fuori Italia, parlo di Libia, Camerun, Algeria, Nigeria, paesi spesso difficili... a volte ostili, per cui lavorare in Romania per me è stato solo un’altra sfida da affrontare con passione, per aggiungere un’altra stimolante esperienza alla mia carriera. Qual è nello specifico il suo ruolo in Sirtech? Sono approdato in Sir 8 anni fa con un ruolo di coordinamento fra Italia e Romania nell’ambito della produzione di capi di abbigliamento, che nello specifico si traduce poi ogni giorno in decine e decine di decisioni da prendere, scelte da fare, aspetti da organizzare, problemi da risolvere. Mio il compito di gestire e coordinare i dipendenti e le attrezzature, la produzione strettamente intesa, in tutte le sue varie fasi, la logistica, il trasporto, la manutenzione dei macchinari fino al magazzino delle materie prime realizzato recentemente per una maggiore autonomia rispetto all’Italia. Quali reparti sono attivi in Romania? I reparti attivi sono il taglio, l’assemblaggio e il controllo, con oltre 80 dipendenti, fra cui: operatori in linea, addetti al reparto taglio e alla serigrafia, segreteria e logistica, magazzinieri, addetti al controllo e capotecnici. Come è organizzata la produzione? Il progetto dei capi viene ideato ed elaborato direttamente da Sir, per cui il disegno e tutto il materiale necessario per il confezionamento dei capi arriva direttamente dall’Italia per assicurare i medesimi standard qualitativi. Noi procediamo con il taglio, l’assemblaggio e, dove richiesto, la personalizzazione. Ogni 10 giorni circa poi i capi così realizzati vengono riconsegnati alla sede di Santa Maria degli Angeli. E il controllo qualità da chi viene effettuato? A testimonianza dell’importanza per Sir degli standard qualitativi dei suoi prodotti il percorso
di controllo qualità si sviluppa su una duplice direttrice: da un lato un controllo qualità effettuato immediatamente e direttamente nello stabilimento produttivo da persone dedicate per rilevare eventuali problematiche prima che i capi escano dallo stabilimento e in un secondo momento un ulteriore controllo qualità a campione effettuato dall’Italia sulla merce che noi spediamo. Quali tipologie di prodotti realizzate? In generale in Romania produciamo alcune linee di indumenti da lavoro come ad esempio Tech, Evolution, Nevada, Fantastik, Caledonian, i capi in fustagno, camici e camicie, e alcune linee dell’High Risk, come il Polytech, il Flame Retardant e l’Antistatico. Ma il nostro punto di forza è la flessibilità delle linee per cui Sirtech riesce ad evadere anche piccoli e piccolissimi ordini di pochi pezzi e ordini in cui si richiedono capi personalizzati con particolari dettagli costruttivi, progettati sulla base delle esigenze e delle specifiche richieste del singolo cliente e con quantitativi se necessario anche abbastanza limitati. Quanti capi riuscite a produrre mediamente in un mese? La nostra produzione media mensile è di circa 20.000 pezzi che può arrivare fino a 22 - 23.000. Ma oltre che di quantità vorrei anche parlare di qualità e performance: una delle ultime novità di Sirtech, si tratta infatti di una acquisizione recentissima, è la possibilità di effettuare internamente la personalizzazione dei capi tramite ricamo. Con l’acquisizione di un apposito macchinario e operatori specializzati siamo in grado di rimandare i capi in Sir finiti e personalizzati. E questo, visto il notevole risparmio di costi e di tempo che ha comportato, lo consideriamo il nostro ultimo fiore sbocciato all’occhiello. Quali gli obiettivi a lungo termine? Lavoriamo ogni giorno con grande impegno per il potenziamento del reparto taglio e più in generale di tutta la produzione.
8 years ago you began working in Romania for Sir, how did it start? In my life I worked for a long periods of time outside of Italy, in Libya, Cameroon, Algeria, Nigeria, countries often difficult ... hostile at times, so working in Romania for me was just another challenge to tackle with passion, to add another interesting experience to my career. What is your role in Sirtech exactly? I came to Sir 8 years ago as a coordinator between Italy and Romania in the production of clothing, which specifically means dozens of decisions and choices to make, issues to be organized, problems to be solved on a daily basis. My task is to manage and coordinate staff and equipment, the production strictly speaking, in all its various stages, logistics, transport, equipment maintenance and up to managing the recently built warehouse to store materials for greater autonomy. Which departments are active? Prior to my arrival, the departments already active were cutting, assembling and quality control, with over 80 employees, including: in-line operators, workers in the cutting department and serigraphy, secretarial and logistics, warehouse workers, control personnel and technical directors. How is production organized? The garment’s design is planned and developed directly by Sir, so the design and all the necessary material for the assembling of the garments come directly from Italy, to ensure the same quality standards. We proceed with the cutting, assembly and, where required, customization. Every 10 days or so, the garments produced with these standards return to the Santa Maria degli Angeli main site. And who is managing the quality control?
To bear witness to the importance that Sir gives to the quality standards of its products, the quality control process has a dual path: on one hand, a quality check carried out immediately and directly in the factory by people dedicated to detect problems before the garments leave the plant; afterwards, when the clothing arrives in Italy, an additional check is performed on random samples. What types of products do you produce? In general we produce in Romania some series of workwear, such as Tech, Evolution, Nevada, Fantastik, Caledonian, the fustian garments, coats and shirts, and a few series of the High Risk range, as the Polytech, the Flame Retardant and the Anti-static. But our strong point is the flexibility of the lines, therefore Sirtech is able to manage even small orders and orders with special manufacturing details and needing customization, designed on the basis of the needs and specific requirements of each customer and, if necessary, also in quite limited quantities. How many pieces of clothing do you produce monthly on average? Our average monthly production is about 20.000 pieces and sometimes up to 22-23.000. But beyond the amount produced, I would like to stress the products’ quality and performance: one of the latest novelties in Sirtech, a very recent acquisition, is the ability to customize in-house, through embroidery, the garments. With the purchasing of the appropriate equipment and with skilled personnel, we are able to ship out finished and personalized garments to Sir. And we consider this our buttonhole flower, given the considerable savings in costs and time involved in managing the orders at Sir. Which are the long-term goals? We work very hard every day to enhance the cutting department, and more generally the whole production line.

Personalizzazioni Nel corso del tempo la clientela si è fatta sempre più attenta, precisa ed esigente. I datori di lavoro curano anche il comfort e il benessere dei propri uomini, evitando in tal modo affaticamento eccessivo e in molti casi l’insorgere di situazioni di stress. E poi curano l’immagine della propria azienda e tutto ciò è possibile grazie anche all’importante lavoro del reparto personalizzazioni interno alla Sir che nel corso del tempo ha acquisito tecnologie avanzate e professionalità esperte. Per cui gli indumenti da lavoro, oltre che protettivi possono diventare anche indumenti immagine per la propria azienda che, in tal modo, comunica un’immagine precisa, univoca e ben definita attraverso anche
tutti i suoi dipendenti. Il reparto è in grado di realizzare diverse tecniche di personalizzazione, fra cui: etichette in pressofusione, serigrafia, etichette in tessuto e applicate tramite cuciture, stampa termosaldata e ricamo diretto. Per soddisfare le esigenze di ogni singolo cliente.
CUSTOMIZATION Over time, customers have become more and more careful, precise and demanding. Employers also are looking after the comfort and wellbeing of their employees, thereby avoiding excessive fatigue and, in many cases, the occurrence of stressful situations. They also care for the image of their company. All of this happens also thanks to the in-house customization department’s important work within Sir, which, over time, has invested in advanced technologies and skilled professionals. Therefore, work clothing, as well as having safety features, it can also become a source of good image for one’s company, thus, communicating an precise, unambiguous and well defined image even through all of its employees. The department is able to realize different customizations, including: hot-pressed labels, serigraphy, fabric labels applied by stitching, heat sealed printing and direct embroidery.
