2020 President’s Message I am proud and humbled to stand before you as the 2020 President of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS®. As a REALTOR® for almost 30 years, I have experienced the ever-changing landscape of the real estate market. I’ve had the chance to see this industry evolve and adapt. But no matter what the challenges are, as a united family of REALTORS®, we help navigate our clients through the noise. Because that’s who we are. It is SAMCAR’s mission to be a voice for property rights, promote the ownership of real property, and help members achieve success. As a team, we will work together to achieve shared prosperity and be that voice for our family of REALTORS® and property owners. We start 2020 with a renewed sense of hope as SAMCAR celebrates its 25th anniversary. As a family, we are diverse—2,900 members of unique backgrounds. I look forward to working with the SAMCAR family of colleagues and staff, and a superb Board of Directors: all leaders and active contributors to our community. As we start this journey together, I’d like to leave you these words: “Change is good. And if you do not change, nothing will change for you!” It’s my hope that we not only remain nimble in these changing times but that the SAMCAR family will continue to lead on these critical issues into the next decade.
