Message from SAMCAR

Keybox Upgrades, Open Homes and Kudos to our Volunteers For June REALTOR® Service Volunteer Program Helped Dozens of Local Seniors A huge thank you and a “Job well done!” goes to the 85 rsvp volunteers who helped 83 seniors during the annual rsvp days, which occurred May 16 through 18. “It’s such a great way to give back to the community in a concrete manner. Our volunteers were touched by the stories they heard from our seniors. A win-win on both sides, “ said Alan Louie, Broker, rsvp Project Leader. “It feels good that you’ve done something special for someone else and it always amazes me that the seniors are so appreciative of even the smallest of tasks,” said Sue Vaterlaus, 2011 SAMCAR President. Watch for the next edition of the Focus this fall for a complete wrap up! the san mateo county association of realtors®

Our mission SAMCAR is a trade association organized to ensure professionalism, protect property rights, promote the ownership of real property, and help members achieve success.

Looking at the real time statistics from Altos Research, it appears that there was a dip in May for many parts of the County, but as we head into June, there are signs of an upswing, especially in Redwood City and Pacifica. For real time statistics, check out www.altosresearch.com.

“Sellers are entering the market to take advantage of all the buyers who seem to be getting off the fence in larger

numbers this spring. Low interest rates and comparatively low prices are fueling demand in most parts of the County. The spring market has some good momentum and I forsee that trend will continue for a few more months,” said Sue Vaterlaus, 2011 President of the San Mateo County Association of realtors®.
