The boom is what we feel with our hands when sailing. It’s what makes us feel the wind in the sail. We develop sails - we have developed the racing sail which has won the PWA Slalom World Title, and a boom is an integrated part of the rig, which brings a winning performance to the rider. A boom curve needs to allow your front and back arm to sit in a natural ergonomic position while sailing, automatically positioning the sail at the right angle for the wind to enter and exit the sail. This position varies with the wind strength and windsurfing discipline, so each boom size needs to be developed accordingly.

BLACK TEAM CURVE Each curve size is developed different to satisfy discipline and needs for the type of sails size. Read more on our site from the curve importance.

MONOCOQUE BUILT

EASY JIBE The front curve of the boom helps the movement of the hands to switch tack while jibing. MONOCOQUE BUILT Thinner diameter in the area you grip while sailing, and a wider diameter on the rear part to allow stiffness and light weight where most needed.

REDESIGNED BOOM HEAD

EASY JIBE

ONE DESIGNED GRIP Sanded, anti-slip pro grip. Easy positioning marks for the harness lines. REDESIGNED BOOM HEAD Moving head tilts to fit all heights. Little rope tension needed. Fits RDM adaptors.

ONE DESIGNED GRIP

SMART BALANCED DESIGN REFLEX

A carbon tube shape with 8 sides. Ergonomically fits the natural shape of the hand when gripping. All booms have a reduced grip diameter starting from 26mm on the smaller slalom and wave booms, up to max to 29mm for the race boom. SMART BALANCED DESIGN

TWIN PIN CLIP

Light, through the smart displacement of weight and diameters. MULTI CLEW SYSTEM

REFLEX Different stiffness for according to size to fit reflex, comfort and performance. TWIN PIN CLIP Boom double pin clips. Wider diameter pins for decreasing load volume on the carbon holes setting. MULTI CLEW SYSTEM

TAIL END EXTENSION

The clew can be fixed with a loop system or adjustables outhaul system. TAIL END EXTENSION On the carbon series, each boom size has its own back end with a different width. The wider, the more power; the narrower, the more control.

and windsurfing discipline, so each boom size needs to be developed accordingly.

The first target from the Point-7 Black Team when developing a boom is the curve. This is not about having a curve from the new generation as many might call it. It’s about having a curve which allows your front and back arm to sit in a natural ergonomic position while sailing, automatically positioning the sail at the right angle for the wind to enter and exit the sail. This position varies with the wind strength

alu+ pro Soft and sanded anti slip pro grip: Less hand strength needed to have a firm grip on the boom. Double push pin for a stiffer connection between boom body and tail end. Vario tail end with 60cm range. 2cm easy adjustments settings. Easy positioning marks for the harness lines. Ergo shaped curve for finding the most natural and comfort position on the board. Front head tilts according to fitting height on the mast, but does not tilt from side to side. With very little rope tension,
