Welcome to Defi wind 2014 project Dear Friends, Welcome to our Point-7 Black Team
Defi Wind Project. Our aim is to give you the chance to feel safe when participating in this amazing event. The biggest event in windsurfing! If you have always wanted to take part in this event, but not comfortable in doing it on your own, we are now here to support you on this great adventure!
Objective You know the saying; you have to try everything at least once in a life time! Well, if you are a windsurfer, one thing to try is definitely The Defi Wind. This can be seen as a difficult and impossible mission for many, but if each year a 1000 windsurfers do it, why shouldn’t you be able to take participate as well? With the knowledge and experience from Black Team you will receive all the support and guidance needed to have a successful first experience at The Defi Wind, making it a real adventure.
First steps In the next weeks you will receive 5 mails with extensive articles on how to prepare with easy fitness, which gear you will need, how to trim it, what you need to do on site, the logistics, things you will have to bring with you, how to behave on land during the event, what you need to do during the event, the tactics, the safety precautions and much more! ...
Meeting point: 28th May 9am Point-7 will have a stand at the beach during The Defi Wind and this will be our meeting point. It will be also the place where everyone is welcomed to rig their gear during the event, so that the Black Team can take care about any technical support. The event starts on the 29th of May, but we will meet on the 28th morning at 9am.
28th day plan | 9am : skipper meeting We will have a skipper meeting with our Black Team. This will be to go through all the points that you want to be clear from.
28th day plan | 10:30am : discover We will walk together through the race site, so that we can show you where everything is situated, according to what is needed and what will be needed during the event.
28th day plan | 11:00: trimming your gear. We will trim all your gear to have it tuned perfectly for the event.
28th day plan | 1:00pm : sailing the course At 1:00pm we will all together go on the water to try out the course at low speed, staying to gether in one group. ITA-1 will be the person to follow on the course.
28th day plan | 3:00pm : tuning The Black Team will together with you go through your gear once again after having tested the gear on the water during the trial run, to ensure the gear is trimmed perfectly for you.
28th day plan | 5:00pm : inscription & relax At 5:00pm we will go for the inscription all together, and later happy hour at the Point-7 stand. By 10pm, all in bed ready to recover and regain their strength for GAME DAY!
