INTRODUCTION Like the Heyókȟa, the Native-American clown, I weld things that don’t necessarily belong with each other. Perhaps paperwork and compassion can never fully become one, but why not try anyway? This book is a collection of interactive works that use alternative facts in alternative ways. I find culture jamming artwork and writing silly things on Facebook to be highly efficient ways to make people think, feel and act. This book is intended to be used as a self-help guide - you’re welcome to use any of these ideas in your own life and with your own community (and at your own risk). Clowning is my religion, but you don’t have to convert in order to practice. LMK how it goes! Enjoy reading Ori

In 2015 the Empowering Clerks Network started offering the Forgiver’s License to applicants who file Form 601(C) - the Compassion Exam. Class A allows holders to forgive themselves and others and Class B - only to forgive others (only men apply for Class B and I give them a free upgrade to Class A). After I printed my own license, I immediately used it to forgive my dad, who had a very difficult childhood and hard time expressing himself and connect emotionally. He became a taxi driver, got into a fight with a drug addict about the ride fare and was murdered when I was 18 (www.bit.ly/AJewKilled). Marcus Hunter is the first inmate to apply for the Forgiver’s License. In his application he described forgiving and understanding his mother’s life circumstances. Marcus is currently serving a life without parole sentence after he murdered taxi driver Abdoelhafiz Hassan Hamed Dowlieb in 2004. As a child Marcus experienced malnutrition and neglect. He witnessed his mom being raped when he was 6 and 10. Mr. Hunter received an ECSK2.0 (Empowering Clerk Starter Kit) and provide regular ECN services to his friends at Maury CI. OK Parent Award and True Friend Diplomas are popular among his inmate friends.

The Hidden Fortune Wheel is an interactive street art and 5ft installation, a collaboration with Ana Azzue Gallira. Spin the wheel and try to imagine what it’s like to be in someone else’s shoes for a few minutes. About 70 wheels were mounted around the country, generating a very positive response. View some video interviews with people who spun the wheel at www.alfassibooks.com. In Beacon NY the wheels led to heated discussions between conservatives and liberals on social media, and 12 wheels were broken around town. If you’d like to mount a wheel at your community you’re welcome to use our design (email me at oribeacon@gmail.com) or make your own! 20

One of the wheels had a hateful message about transgenders written on it and later on was broken and dumped on the street. On the 5,000 members local FB group I publicly invited the person who broke the wheels for a beer to discuss his / her motives and why they dislike the wheels, but so far we had no luck in finding who did it.

The Hidden Fortune Wheel reflects on the randomness of which our skin color and gender are assigned to us at birth. Seeing the wheel spinning made me rethink about the idea of transracial. I do see my privilege, but I also think that dividing hundreds of millions of people into four or five archaic categories is dumb, and Dolezal act was prophetic in the way it challenged all these made up social paradigmes. However, due to public pressure Dolezal Prophecy License was suspended less than 12 hours after it was issued. This the first ECN document to be revoked since the revocation of Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney Forgiver’s License Class A over his vote against Syrian refugees. (the special Committee declared afterwards that the right to forgive is irrevocable). Anyone can issue a Prophecy License to anyone for free at www.supportivebureaucracy.org

07/12/2017 To: Dutchess County Board of Elections Re: Ori Alon petition for Artist in Residence (at large) Beacon NY. Dear Board of Elections members, Please accept my petition with 47 valid signatures to run for the Artist in Residence position in Beacon NY. Also, I'd like to thank you all for your hard work in making sure our elections run smooth and without any problems. As an Empowering Clerk at the Center for Supportive Bureaucracy I know how hard it is to provide Playful Paperwork services, and how some people seem to not be thankful for services they get. Please accept my mailed donation of ten pre-sealed Joy Permits for you and your families with love as gratitude for your public service and a gesture of care for you and your families as we're approaching the election season. Also, in the last election the polls in Beacon didn't have the "I voted" stickers. As a courtesy to the people of Beacon I printed some and distributed them in the four voting stations (see photo attached). If you ever need assistance in printing stickers please let me know, I'm always happy to help a fellow clerk! Dear Kenyon College Admissions, After carefully considering your interest in my application, I have decided to place your institution on my wait list. I recognize the strength of the college’s academic programs and I remain very interested in my potential success at Kenyon College. The very competitive pool of colleges and universities that accepted me makes it difficult for me to select the institution that I will attend next fall. I read and evaluated thousands of acceptances from some of the most exceptional institutions in the country and around the world. With so many strong candidates accepting me, I am unable to offer my commitment to many acclaimed candidates. I hope you will agree to remain on my wait list. Please log into your University Status Page to access your online Wait List Reply form and let me know whether or not you wish to remain on my wait list. Additional information is available on my Frequently Asked Questions web page. Should you have further questions, please feel free to write my Senior Associate Director of Acceptances and College Selection. While I know this is disappointing news, I may be able to take you off of my wait list. I appreciate your patience as I hear back from all of my colleagues, and if you choose to remain on my wait list, I will be back in touch after May 1 with an update. Sincerely, Jane Cole

In June 2017, City of Beacon took legal actions against a gluten-free cafe that presented “No Hate No Fear, Everyone is Welcome Here banner. City declared that the Imagine artwork on the business wall is a political sign and issued heavy fines on the owner.
