Outdoor REC & CARNEY PARK December & January One Day Snow Trips Sat, Dec 10 & Sat, Dec 17 Sat, Jan 7, Mon, Jan 16 (U.S. Holiday), Sat, Jan 21 & Sat, Jan 28 Trips include transportation to one of the local ski resorts at a cost of: $15 per adult $10 per child (4-12 yrs) FREE for children 3 yrs and under (space available basis). Note: Youth 17 yrs and under must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian on trips. Ski lift passes available at ski locations. Bring Euro cash as most locations do not accept credit cards. Registration Registration begins Dec 1 for all trips. Customers can register for as many scheduled trips as they wish. Payment is due at registration. Refunds will not be given for bus sign-up cancellations made less than 48 hrs prior (by close of business) to the trip reserved. Transferring the fee to a later trip is not possible. Requirements/cancellations A min. of 30 people are required per trip or bus will be cancelled. Trips may be cancelled without notification up to the morning of the trip depending on weather conditions. Equipment Fees: • Adult Ski or Snowboard Package: $18 (Skiis, boots, ski poles or snowboard & boots) • Child Ski or Snowboard Package including helmet: $12 (12 yrs and under) • Sled (two types): $5 and $1 (note: sleds are not allowed on the local ski slopes) • Helmet only: $3 Rental and Trip discount: If you take an MWR One Day Ski Trip and need a ski/snowboard package, you get a discount when renting through the NOR Center of $3 per adult and $2 per child. Equipment Reservations: Reservations are taken no earlier than 4 days prior to your pick-up date (gear may be reserved more than 4 days in advance for MWR Outdoor Recreation sponsored trips). Equipment fitting and full payment must accompany the reservation. Due to fitting requirements, phone reservations will not be taken for skis or snowboards. Important: • Refunds Refunds will not be given for early returns on daily rentals. Inclement weather is not a justification for early returns. • Extra Charges You will be charged an extra fee if gear is returned late, damaged/lost/solen, returned in poor condition (dirty/wet). Note: •Your Skis with Rental Boots Due to the fact your skis may not be compatible with our boots, please bring in your skis when you would like to rent boots. There is a $3 charge to adjust ski, boots and bindings.

Annual Holiday Social & Tree Lighting Fri, Dec 2 (4:30 p.m.) A holiday gathering at the the Fleet Recreation Center (FRC) for all ages! A Tree Lighting, festive holiday music provided by the U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band’s Brass Quintet, the Gingerbread Lane with cookie decorating, arts & crafts, Santa’s mailbox, holiday book display and more. Bring your camera to take a picture with Santa. Bring a holiday dish to share if you’d like. MWR will provide hot chocolate & light refreshments. Holiday Shopping Trip Sat, Dec 3 Shop for the holidays at La Reggia Designer Outlet near Caserta. Cost is €15 per person. Min. 10 people required. Sign up at the FRC by Dec 12. Morning departure. Holiday Sing-A-Long at Children’s Social Time Tue, Dec 6 (10 A.M.) Children are invited to a special holiday sing-a-long at the OMI Park. Children’s Social time meets every Tuesday and will continue through the holidays. There are arts and crafts, books, toys, outdoor playing areas and more. Parent-driven program. Holiday Cooking Class Wed, Dec 7 Learn a new holiday recipe, make crepes and chocolate mousse at Il Follaro Restaurant, across from Fleet Landing. This is a hands-on class. You make it and eat it. Live Nativity in Maranola Mon, Dec 26 An picturesque holiday setting in the town of Maranola. Take a walk back in time as the town transforms in its annual Presepe Vivente. Shops will showcase the antique “workings” and traditions with basket weaving, honey making, wrought iron bending and more. Bus transportation cost is €5 per adult. Children free. Sign up at FRC by Dec 21. Letters to Santa Write your letter to Santa and drop it off at the Fleet Recreation Center in the Santa Box by Dec 19. Santa will write you back. Free Fitness Classes OMI Park Indoor Fitness Room Tue: Low-Impact Body at 9:30 a.m. Thu: High-Impact at 10 a.m. 1-hour classes led by professional instructors.
