Diamond Select have released the promotional image for their sole 7" Select figure from Spider-Man, Homecoming. The Tech Suit Spider-Man was seen back at Toy Fair. This promo image shows both the figure, and its diorama base which is based off a rooftop this may or may not be screen accurate (we will let you know once we've seen the movie) There is no unmasked Tom Holland head. There is still the possibility,as happened with Ant-Man and more recently Civil War Captain America, that Disney Stores could commission and unmasked exclusive - if they do, we will find out literally just before it hit shelves. If we apply the usual rule to Diamond Marvel Cinematic Releases, then we should see Spider-Man about 3-months after the movie release, so sometime in October is the best estimate. The UK price should be around ÂŁ22 and around $25 in the US.

It looks like Mezco are expanding their One:12 collective into the MCU. While movie figures are being released for DC's big screen appearances, this would be the first for Marvel with all other Marvel releases to date being comic based. Spider-Man would join their previously announced Netflix Daredevil in a wider MCU / TV universe.

We have seen the 6" Marvel Legend offerings for Thor Ragnarok, now take a look at the 3.75" releases. In keeping with other recent Marvel movies like Guardians and Spider-Man, there will be some 3.75" 2-packs for Thor Ragnarok

Toys R Us have shared an image of the packaged Star Wars Black Series Commander Gree. The figure will be sold at SDCC 2017 via the Entertainment Earth booth. US customers can also pre-order from 20th July for delivery. There are no details at present on any UK distribution Star Wars fans will love this exclusive 6-inch Commander Gree figure from The Black Series because of its incredible features and craftsmanship. This collectible includes premium detail across multiple points of articulation that only The Black Series can offer.

Images of the first two show a movie based 2-pack of Thor and Hulk fro the Gladiatorial encounter. There is then a comic based pack of The Executioner and Enchantress. The ETA on these is August 2017. Price TBC, but I would suspect a similar price to the single Legend figures - ÂŁ22 / $20

The second set is a 9th Doctor Set. This contains the 9th Doctor in his leather jacket and possibly the blue T-shirt which was originally in the Dalek 2-pack wave. He comes with Rose, and sadly the rather awkwardly posed 2006 Rose from the Battle Pack. There is then a grey suited Auton.

It has been rumoured for a while that B&M would launch three new Doctor Who 5.5" Action Figure sets for Summer 2017. The Doctor Who site has now confirmed these with details direct from B&M. With no other retailer picking up the 5.5" inch figures, and the 3.75" versions pretty much cancelled, that leaves B&M as the sole supplier of Doctor Who figure collectibles. Fans were of course excited to find out what is coming.

The final set is the 4th Doctor Set. Here we get a dark brown long coated Doctor. This appears to be the Pyramids of Mars outfit completed with Smiling Head, but we need to see larger images. K9 is a grey classic version, and Leela is a repack from Invasion of Time with her hair down. No word on pricing. Last year these were £12.99 each. I suspect in line with recent wholesale price rises on figures we may see these at anything from £15 to £20. Stocks are apparently due soon. Let us know via Facebook or on here via Disqus if you find them in your local B&M store.

The most impressive Set is the Enemies Set which contains the Tomb of the Cybermen Cyber Controller - he was originally a Build A Figure. In the same set we get an Attack Cyberman, a figure that is technically new as it was previously released in a set with Peri and it came with dirty weathered paint job and removable mask. The third figure is a fairly "meh" Skorr the Sontaran - some fans had been hoping for a classic Sontaran pack in.

Icon Heroes have teased this image on social media with the tease "something fantastic is coming" It is quite clear this is a release from the Fantastic Beasts licence, and looking at the image it is likely to be a statue. We await more details on this likeness of Newt Scamander

Star Wars fans attending D23 will be able to purchase a number of special Disney Elite 10" figures. Disney have taken the standard releases and repacked them in special double packs. There are some tweaks to each figure too. Leia is now in her Hoth gear, and is packed with Darth Vader Rey is in her "Jedi" outfit from the end of The Force Awakens, and comes packed with Kylo Ren Jyn Erso comes in her Eadu gear with helmet and poncho. She comes packed with Krennic. Each set will be sold at $79.95 at the event, and the sets limited to 1000 pieces. Each set also gets a certificate of authenticity. What is unclear at this time is whether these tweaked figures will be packed in the standard packaging and sold in Disney stores. It seems a lot of cost for revised outfits to then limit them to 1000 pieces.

Bandai's General Grievous model kit is released on the 29th July. In anticipation of this release, checkout these new images of the kit and the box art. Checkout that robotic heart, ripe for Obi-Wan to pull out and crush. Sadly UK and US customers might have to hunt this one down via a company willing to import out of Japan. Under the licence, Bandai are not permitted to sell direct to anyone outside of the country. Patience may be the key here for UK customers at least - with most Bandai kits hitting Amazon UK via Japanese sellers. While early prices might be high, they should settle down to around £20-£25 for a single figure kit. Checkout the current offerings here.

Todd McFarlane has officially announced the company's new 7" figures based on hit Netflix TV series, Stranger Things. The images of the first two figures have been circulating for a couple of weeks, but were marked as commercial use only - not for distribution. We now know direct from The Toddfather than the first figures will be Chief Hopper and Eleven. These are being called Chapter One, with "something big" coming in Chapter two. The figures are 7" in size with limited articulation. Hopper will have 11 points of articulation, Eleven will have 12. Unlike the Color Tops range, these figures will be released on vintage style cards - in keeping with the era of the show - and will feature the original McFarlane 1990's style logo. Using the Color Tops as a guide, we would expect these to come in around $20 in US, £18-£20 here in the UK. They should hit stores around November 2017. We would hope to see the actual figures at SDCC in a few weeks? Our good friends at Toys In the Attic are already taking pre-orders for the set at £33.99 + postage

The first images of NECA's 7" Blade Runner 2049 figures have been revealed. The two figure release will feature Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard and Ryan Gosling as Officer K. The promotional images show two spot on likenesses, and Star Wars fans will be wondering why Hasbro couldn't have nailed Ford's look like this in the Star Wars Black Series. Both figures will be armed with blasters and will come in the window box packaging that NECA are currently favouring.

Fans of cult 1985 horror movie Re-Animator can look forward to some new Action Figures courtesy of NECA. Announced today via Licencing.biz it was confirmed.... First up to the plate is NECA who will now develop a line of collectable figures. Randy Falk, director of product development for NECA, said: “I have been a longtime fan of Re-Animator and know that there are lots of comedy sci-fi collectors waiting for new Re-Animator figures. It will be a perfect addition to NECA’s line.” Following up on Twitter, Randy Falk has confirmed these will be their 8" Mego style figures rather than traditional 7" Action Figures. That means a sculpted head on a generic body with soft goods clothing. More details will be announced in due course, at this stage it is very early in the deal so we would not expect to see anything until 2018

From the hotly anticipated movie Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the legendary sci-fi movie! Bring home the action with these highly articulated action figures depicting the characters as they appear on screen. Series 1 includes Deckard (featuring the likeness of Harrison Ford) and Officer K (featuring the likeness of Ryan Gosling) . Each action figure stands approximately 7″ tall and comes with a gun accessory. Window box packaging.

NECA are returning to the Robocop licence later this year, and in a similar move to the approach taken with Alien & Predator - they will be turning to the Dark Horse comics for their source material. The next Robocop release will be based on the Robocop vs Terminator series from 1992. It was written by Frank Miller and published by Dark Horse Comics. The figure will see the standard NECA Robocop release tweaked to include Terminator Endoskeletal arms, and a rocket launcher backpack. Going by NECA's tweet accompanying the image, we will see more of this figure at SDCC 2017

It seems the Robocop figure is not the only planned release for the Robocop vs Terminator Dark Horse line from NECA.

"#SDCC preview - The future of law enforcement takes flight.... #robocop #terminator"

This image reveals another release in the 7" line and this time it is a two pack consisting of the Endocop that NECA teased a few months back. He will be packed with the Dog Terminator. Both the Dog and Endocop dates back to 2015 when they were teased as part of a planned release in the Robocop vs Terminator 8-bit range. Both figures are based on the Dark Horse Robocop vs Terminator comic, and the subsequent video games. At this stage this is nothing more than an image and we would expect to find out more at SDCC 2017
