What Girls Are Made Of by Cora Bissett TUE 7 & WED 8 MAY 7.30PM £17.50 / CONC £15 14+ It’s 1992. In a small town in Fife, a girl is desperate to get out into the world. Touring with Radiohead, partying with Blur, she was living the dream. Until she wasn’t. Fresh from an award-winning, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, performed with a live band, this is the true story of Cora Bissett’s rollercoaster journey from the girl she was to the woman she wanted to be, based on her meticulously detailed teenage diaries. “A life-changing litany of pure joy” ★★★★★ The Herald

New Old Friends present

Crimes on the Coast By Feargus Woods Dunlop Directed by James Farrell WED 18 SEP 7.30PM £15 Multi-award-winning theatre company New Old Friends present this comedy thriller directed by James Farrell (Associate Director – The 39 Steps, West End). Inspired by Agatha Christie, Hitchcock and film noir, you are invited on a hilarious but murderous trip to a classic English Riviera retreat. A secluded island hotel just off the English coast becomes a crime scene, as a scandal-inducing femme-fatale is felled. All the guests on the island are suspects, but are they alone and is all quite what it seems? The show, formerly touring as Crimes Under the Sun, enjoyed a sell-out national tour in 2018 and hits the road again in 2019 featuring four actors playing multiple outrageous characters, and a plot that romps along in the company’s trademark inventive style.

One Night in Las Vegas SAT 7 SEP 7.30PM £20 This Scottish nine-piece showband brings great variety, wonderful musicianship, tasteful humour, and classy solo performances in this new show celebrating the iconic stars that have graced Las Vegas venues over the years.

Rapture Theatre Company

Clybourne Park FRI 27 SEP 7.30PM £16 / CONC £14 In 1959, Bev and Russ are moving after the tragic death of their son. Inadvertently, they have sold their house to the neighbourhood’s first black family, which causes ripples of discontent amongst the cosy white urbanites of the local area. Fifty years later, in 2009, the roles are reversed when a young white couple buys the same house in what is now a predominantly black neighbourhood. In both instances, a community showdown takes place, pitting race against real estate with this home as the battleground. Are the issues buried beneath the floor boards actually the same fifty years on? Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play, Clybourne Park is a razor-sharp satire about the politics of race.

Described by the Scotsman as “one of Scotland’s all-time great vocalists” Horse has had a successful career spanning over three decades, having opened for and toured with several international artists including Tina Turner, BB King, Bryan Ferry, Burt Bacarach, as well as touring extensively in her own right.
