BE INSPIRED : BE FEROSH Ferosh | A Visual Art & Fashion Experience is a quarterly publication that will review fashion trends for each subsequent season: Spring/ Summer & Autumn/Winter, then work collaboratively with designers for Summer & Winter. Our mission is to become a comprehensive style guide for residents of Second Life® regarding real life fashion, while also aiming to spark creativity. We hope to impact styling for a wide variety of residents by exhibiting fashion of all genres and styles. In addition, we would like to showcase some of the best artistic view points and creative photography images. Ferosh | A Visual Art & Fashion Experience is not a modeling agency. Although being a model is a rewarding and important credential for the Second Life© fashion industry, Ferosh aims to maintain a collaborative group of talented artists, stylists, and experienced models who are uniformly interested in achieving our mission. A
fter a year and a half Ferosh is now on its 6th issue and we are sliding into our second Ferosh Fashion Weekend. Wow! Working with the people that make Ferosh so wonderful is a humbling experience. We created this fashion organization to have fun with the people we love, and it just so happened that we all cared greatly about Second Life® fashion. I’m so excited about 2016! Ferosh is growing and I find myself pulling back the reigns on many opportunities. I believe in taking our growth strategically and in a manner that we can manage without causing burn-out. Sure, we could try to be the biggest and most coveted fashion organization in Second Life®. However, that has never been our goal. I would much rather expand in a way that pays tribute to our ethos, keeps our staff happy, and allows for us to provide the quality that is expected of Ferosh. I remember when Second Life® fashion was exciting with its parties, fashion shows, and events that sold couture, cutting edge designs. As a new comer to Second Life® nearly 5 years ago, my very first fashion event was organized by Modavia Productions. I was in complete awe of the models, the creative runways, and the fashion designers provided. This production was extensive, and it gave me hope of being able to participate in similar exciting productions in the future. Though Ferosh is not like its predecessor, there is one thing that I would love to be similar. I
want people to have that excited, proud, and star struck feeling again. I want people to love Second Life® fashion the way that it was loved long before themed sales events dampened the creativity of our fashion community. It is not my goal to try to change the orientation of Second Life® fashion, because I think that there are still wonderful developments happening and some amazing sales events that bring top notch ideas. My wish is to create an island of fashion excellence for those who want to get “that feeling” again – for people who crave couture, beauty, and precision. I want to satiate the people who desire fashion collections that were made with thought, and intention. I’m thrilled, again, for this amazing issue featuring the best photographers and stylists Second Life®. Our invited designers have done an amazing job with their collections. I’m blessed to have such an amazing, hard working group to produce a classy, and cutting edge Ferosh Fashion Weekend. Without our team and our staff, Ferosh would not be where it is. The applause goes to all of them. I appreciate their dedication, and loyalty for making Ferosh live to the definition of its name. Please enjoy this issue as we pay homage to our beloved fashion collections, as well as give previews from new designers, and accessories. And, maybe, just maybe, you’ll be able to join us for our next Ferosh Fashion Weekend this Summer of 2016!

Our A/W’2016 Trend Issue was one of our most read and shared publications yet! Thank you for your participation in Ferosh! We were able to dive into the highly anticipated trends for our winter season. In this past issue, we started off with a trend that repeats itself every other winter and that is androgyny. This trend deals with the blurring of gender lines and where a stylist exists in the medium of neutral sexual expression. Another reoccurring theme entails mastering prints. We asked our stylists to clash them by putting dots, with stripes, and ethnic patterns with zig-zags. The styles and fashions created were truly remarkable.

Still paving a path with originality
For those who take a more classic approach to fashion, we picked the theme of Geek Chic. Nerdy glasses, bow ties, penny loafers, and high-water slacks encompass the feel of this look. We were pleased to see several designers participate in this trend after publishing. For those who are daring at heart and enjoy risqué activities, our trend of I PVC U, dealing with patent leather and latex, satiated thethe desire to look naughty. And, we were able to bring the 80’s back with a series of fun-filled, colorful looks that modernized an era of big hair, shoulder pads, and amazing music. We give most of the applause for the success of our predicted trends to our new fashion director, Grant Valeska. Grant has years of fashion experience and has worked as creative director 12

for fashion organizations like Avenue. He’s also the creator of his own fashion brand called 1992. He's been an advocate for fashion, not just in his real life, but also in Second Life®. With his exciting take on what’s hot and what’s not, Ferosh is excited to work with him on our next trend issue, which will define our next Spring/ Summer season. Grant already started his research which will definitely inspire our entire crew with artistic zeal. We can’t wait to share more fashion fun with you. Miss Azul is one of the most sought after pageant titles in the fashion industry. Ferosh was able to participate through judging
of challenges and hosted the show on our sims. The event was a remarkable production where girls who love pageantry and gowns were able to test their skills in styling the art of Mami Jewell. As you flip through the pages of last issue, you’ll see our debut of the new Miss Azul 216, Shannon Bramlington. We congratulate her on her reign and wish her the best of luck as she pursues her modeling career. The rest of our season was filled with our preparations for our virtually acclaimed Ferosh Fashion Weekend and new Ferosh Fashion Institute! So, Let’s get started with our favorite designers, their amazing collections, and the art provided by our creative photographers. We hope you enjoy this issue, and we hope that you appreciate our journey as we reflect on the highlights of our past.

When we started to dream up our fashion organization, we never believed we would ever get to where we are today. It has been a dream come true to be able to work with a dedicated team of incredibly creative, inspirational, and talented models, stylists, photographers, and management. Ferosh is family in the truest sense of the word. Whether it is on the pages of our magazine or on the amazing runways of our fashion weekend, everyone works together toward a common goal: bringing the most beautiful fashion to our virtual world. And, with this spirit of collaboration and teamwork, it is with great pleasuret that we will be opening the doors of the Ferosh Fashion Institute. This is the place where the best of the best in Second LifeÂŽ fashion will be on hand to impart their valuable knowledge to those who want to learn the Ferosh way. FFI Dean / Producer Preparing for our second Ferosh Fashion Weekend has been an amazing experience. As a producer, style lead, and Ferosh supermodel, I believe that this opportunity to work with the best of the best in all areas is unmatched in the industry. Our upcoming debut of Ferosh Fashion Institute adds extra excitement into the mix! In a short period of time, Ferosh has quickly gained notoreity as a leader in showcasing the hottest seasonal trends translated from real life runways. Ferosh is trendsetting and cutting edge! I am so proud and humbled to be a part of this family.
I cast for and was accepted as a photographer and stylist for Ferosh in the Fall of 2014. it was my biggest wish to push my artistic expression to an all time high through photography. But even then, I knew I desired more growth within this organization. I watched from the sidelines last year as my colleagues took on Ferosh’s Inaugural Fashion Weekend, which unlocked a drive to pursue an official modeling career. I knew I had to be on that runway one way or anoher. This Fashion Weekend I have became highly involved in production side by helping with the event design, event set up, aiding our designers, as a style lead. I helped to ensure their creations are shown to their very best by our Ferosh Models and Supermodels Yes, this does seem like hard work; but, I have never had so much fun.

Marketing / Producer This is my first Ferosh Fashion Weekend as apart of the management team; I booked most of the DJ’s, I have been a Style Lead for ..::DARE::.. Poses show, an alternate and model in the fashion shows. Wow! I’ve been so busy. Overall, I think my experience working with the Feorsh team is like coming home and being with family . The welcome I received was amazing. For me its a dream come true . I have the opportunity to work intimately with Ferosh and for SL Fashion. Pinch me! I cannot believe this is virtual real and not a dream. Thank you team ; you are all amazing.
