BUPA GREAT EDINBURGH RUN, 10 MILE
‘Zip Slide the Clyde’ is a terrific opportunity to whizz across the river Clyde from 150ft in the air! We are looking for people brave enough to take on our brand new challenge. Participants will zip slide from the Finnieston Crane, 300m across the River Clyde. Despite its speed, the zip slide allows you to take in amazing views of Glasgow city.
Take part in this exciting brand new 10-mile distance run featuring The Royal Mile, Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle. The distance represents a perfect middle marker for runners looking to step up their half marathon or marathon training or for you to take on a new challenge.

‘ZIP SLIDE THE CLYDE’
This cycle, to suit all abilities, is 25 miles on quiet roads on the scenic Black Isle. Refreshments are provided at the halfway stop and at the finish. A short supervised cycle along the shore is available for children. Monies will be split between EMMS International and Birchwood Highland.

EMMS BIG WEEKEND Our annual big fundraising weekend returns! Come together and do something this weekend in your home, work place or church to improve overseas healthcare. Think BIG with a garden party, talent show or coffee morning or small with a cake or craft sale. Alternatively go without, and give up something you would really miss like chocolate, TV or your mobile and donate the sponsorship to us! You choose the time and venue. EVELYN’S METHLICK BIKE RIDE
LEITH DRAGON BOAT RACE
EDINBURGH NIGHT RIDE
This family friendly cycle starts in the pretty village of Methlick, near Ellon, Aberdeenshire. We begin at Methlick church and cycle 10 or 25 miles through the scenic countryside and finish with scones and tea, open to all. This ride supports our child and maternal health project in Nepal and is organised by Evelyn Cook.
It’s our second year taking part in the Leith Dragon Boat race. Teams of up to 20 people take to the water for the 250m dash. No experience necessary and all equipment is provided. Enter the EMMS team or sign up your corporate team for this great day out!

The stunning Peak District is our second location for TrekFest 2014 and more than lives up to its reputation as one of Britain’s most inspiring National Parks. The Peaks TrekFest challenge route encompasses an impressive network of footpaths and bridleways, beginning and ending in the beautiful Hope Valley.
Join Scotland’s most popular cycling event on either the classic 47 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh or the sportive event of 110 miles through the southern uplands. There are rest stops around every ten miles serving free refreshments, plus a free lunch at Linlithgow Palace.

COSTS Costs vary depending on the event, but we’ve tried to keep the sponsorship target as low as possible. All events are listed as Registration fee + minimum sponsorship pledge. The registration is set by the event organiser. Where we ask for a pledge we are asking participants to raise a minimum sponsorship amount.
RAISING YOUR SPONSORSHIP When you sign up we’ll send you information about how to collect and send in your sponsorship online and in person, including how to get Gift Aid on donations. If you are worried about fundraising, don’t be! The EMMS team is on hand to give you advice on how to raise sponsorship and support you throughout! We will also send you a complimentary EMMS challenger t-shirt!
