I’m planning to partner with existing church networks and researching the community for other people of influence who sexual abuse would like to see societal change and healing. Who do you know that would like to see spiritual change here in Alaska? God has also given me a burden for the Native population. I will be searching for ways to serve them and get involved in their lives and lifestyles.

Yes, these are God-size goals, but I don’t want to settle for just lessening the problem; I want to finish it.

Hopelessness

The Challenge A spirit of hopelessness has devastated many people of Alaska. It has been at the root of alcoholism, high crime rates and the disintegration of the family. Combine this with generational poverty, and spiritual strongholds, and you have a formula for cultural disintegration. No person or church organization is big enough to singlehandedly deal with these statewide issues. This is about more than just changing the behavior of one person, this is about changing a culture through spiritual transformation.
