Re+ ST Beirut 1
After the Beirut explosion, it destroyed the country's biggest trading post, the port area. My teammates and thought about how we could re-work the port area conceptually. We did a lot of research about the city of Beirut and its relation to the port area.
According to our analysis, the port area had limited communication with the sea and the city. After examining historically the relationship between the port areas and the cities in the world, we aimed to make the Beirut port work like an integrated part of the city. At the core of our project, there are 3 major concepts; responsivity, adaptability, and resiliency.

Design Approach
We have defined specific axes with the strips for integration between sea, port, and city. The most important feature of these axes is to respond to the ever-changing port needs. The series of spaces on these axes can be transformed with the help of cranes. You can watch our general approach and strategy as an animation by QR codes.

Urban Housing in Ankara 2
In the Yukarı Dikmen region, where Yıldız Tower and various apartments are located, differentiated lifestyles coexist by the structural contrasts. Residences, apartments, and even slums are containing people with different lifestyles in the same zone.
One of the biggest reflections of structural contrast is the disconnection of communication and interaction between people from different economic situations. The design idea present is aiming that increase interaction and bring the contrasts together by having experiential diversity to the region. The proposal's most important aim is to mediate the relations between rural and urban, structural contrasts, and differentiated lives.

Band ofHistory Pavilion
An information pavilion on the waterfront of the Giardini, the major venue of the Venice Biennale. The transitory structure will be constructed for the 12th architectural biennial (2014) that had the theme “Fundamentals”. The design consists of two main spatial flows. One is leading people from the axis of ”Arsenale to Central Pavilion” and the other one is leading people from the axis of ”Arsenale to National Pavilions.” While doing this, people can observe National Pavilions and Central Pavilion framed by folding operations of the design.
Formal changes have been applied to the surfaces designed with the idea that they act as a bridge between old and new biennials. In this way, orthogonal and parametric surfaces work in the same system as the representation of the past and the new.

Center of University Sports
Sports center project in Dorsoduro, Venice. Dorsoduro is a region with a high population of students and tourists. On an urban scale also tourism is one of the biggest issues in Venice. Especially local people suffer privacy problems due to the increasing number of tourists. For these reasons, I studied how urban elements such as squares, streets, and canal deals with the tourism problem.
My aim is to reduce the density of people in the building on different floors and to offer a more special circulation network for sportsmen/sportswomen. While doing this, I took advantage of the promenade on the first floor, which works as some of the main streets in Venice. Moreover, similar to the Venetian squares, the promenade branches into various activities within a linear organization and provides fragmented spaces.

UnHygienix
A fish market project in Ildır, a seaside village. When I visited Ildır, saw that the fishermen on the beach spend more time on their boats instead of on the land. For this reason, wanted the majority of the fish sales to take place on the boats. According to my scenario, two days a week, the market is expanding with the surface that opens like a branch towards the sea to serve more customers. While adjusting the free floor plan and orientation of the village according to the main axes, prioritized experiential variations between spaces.

Festival On theLine
The task in the project is to work at the points I have determined along the Sincan-Kayas train line and to ensure the festival's integrity along the line. have observed that the railway divides Ankara into two and cannot be integrated. In order to make the stratified urban structure more permeable, tried to integrate the railroad with the city by providing spatial integrations in horizontal and vertical directions in all fragments. All the fragments are variations of each other and work together as a body.

Field ofSaced Experience
While large and jagged surfaces represent field, smaller and smoothly cut surfaces represent spaces created. In the task, only tearing and intersecting operations can be applied to big field surfaces. On the other hand, small surfaces can be cut with scissors and intersected while being added to the field surfaces. Extended surfaces are supporting the relation in between the central and peripheral spaces. The central circulation space organizes external spaces and spatial integrations between private and public spaces.
Surface Mass Line Volume
Balance and unbalance separation adjusted according to the intersection frequency of the volumes. The intersection levels of the volumes are everywhere at close proportions, while the volumes are distributed as evenly as possible in the balanced proposal. In the unbalanced proposal the clumped intersecting volumes demonstrate a heterogeneous distribution. While the volumes are focused at certain points, the intersection levels differ greatly regionally.
