àilte oirbh gu An Lanntair agus gu dearbh gu Mìos na Gàidhlig. Tha sinn ri subhachas fad a’ Mhàirt air a’ chànan

‘s a’ chultar luachmhor againn. Tha an t-uiread a’ dol ‘s le sin tha cho math dhomh a leum a-steach innte.

Cover image: 'Dark Phenomena' ©Ione Parkiin

Tha buannachdan inntinneil ann an dà-chànanas, tha fios againn uile air a sin- as bith dè chanadh feadhainn de na Buill Pàrlamaid san deas air a’ chànan againn. Tha fios againn gu bheil buannachdan eaconamach ann cuideachd. Tha sinn air cluinntinn bho Outer Hebrides Tourism is buidhnean eile, mun uiread de luchd-turais a tha a’ tighinn an seo gus blasad fhaighinn air a’ Ghàidhlig, agus ‘s e adhbhar tha sin a bhith ga cleachdadh gun teagamh. Tha luach cultarach ann cuideachd ge-tà agus ’s dòcha gur e seo an rud as cudromaiche: Gun cleachd sinn ar cànan air ur son fhìn. A’ bleidrigeadh, a’ seinn, a’ gàireachdainn, a’ rànail, a’ mireadh, a’ caoidh ‘s a’ sùgradh. Tha dòighean ann rudan a ràdh sa Ghàidhlig nach gabhar a ràdh sa Bheurla: dòighean airson faireachdainnean a chur an cèill, beachdan a roinn, càineadh a thilgeil, sabaid a thòiseachadh is maitheanas a thoirt seachad. Tha i mun cuairt oirnn san fhearainn agus san àrainneachd, gach bodha ‘s bàigh, ainmean àite agus ainmean charaidean. ’S e rud nàdarrach a th’ innte a dh’fhàs mun cuairt oirnn thar linntean ‘s tha i fhathast a’ fàs is ag atharrachadh mar a dh’atharraicheas an àrainneachd fhèin is gach creutair innte. ‘S dòcha gur e dòigh math tha sin airson a bhith a’ coimhead air a’ Ghàidhlig- mar rud nàdarrach, beò a tha feumach air biadh is blàths mar bàrr sam bith eile; rud a tha brèagha, socair air a tha sinn mothachail agus airson a ghabhas sinn uallach. Tha mi an dòchas gum bi Mìos na Gàidhlig mar beagan bìdh dhi, is gun toir sinn dhi blàths le bhith dèanamh càch a chèile cofhurtail a cleachdadh fad an t-siubhail, is gum faic sinn i a’ cumail oirr’ a’ fàs. Gabh rithe mar phàirt de ur fèin-aithne, a’ snìomh le gach snàth dhiubh, an àite a bhith a’ coimhead oirre mar rud gu tur eadardhealaichte. Chaidh na cuirmean airson Mìos na Gàidhlig a chur air dòigh seach gur iad feadhainn den luchd-ealain as tàlantaiche is inntinniche, cha b’ ann a-mhàin ann an saoghal na Gàidhlig, ach ann an Alba.
