There is one essential part of our body that we Cannot hide no matter what. That is our skin. Our skin is the one of the first impressions. When it becomes dry, damaged and neglected; that can sometimes affect our self esteem. Have you ever had a big pus filled pimple right Between the eyes that kept you in the house All day? I know i have. Meet Missy Lufman. She is a skincare expert from North Carolina and we were lucky enough to catch up with her and ask her a few questions about healthy skin.
Missy, when did you official start your business? MagicMudd opened May 6, 2017. What inspired you to open this type of service? Skin is my passion. I have dreamed of opening this type of business for years. My background includes 9 years as a CMA in dermatology. Then i became a Licensed Esthetician in the state of North Carolina. For me, there is no better feeling in the world than Helping a woman gain more confidence starting with healthy skin. Once she is confident, she will smile more, have a certain twinkle in her eye and feel on top of the world. That to me, is REAL beauty.

Do you feel there is a need for this type of service in Your area? Absolutely! Skin is the largest organ and usually the most neglected. There are so many Beauty Shops & Spas in Greensboro North Carolina that have tanning beds and i feels people should be educated that Sun-tanned skin is “damaged” skin. You would never find a tanning bed associated with my business. How does your business stand out from others like it in the city? First and foremost, MagicMudd Skin Care is all about The Health of skin. My focus is on acne Treatments, mature skin treatments and educating my clients on overall on key factors to achieve radiant skin with or without makeup. What type of customer are you trying to reach? Well, my favorite clients are women that want to change their skin and receive some papering at the same time. I offer a balance of result driven treatments in a relaxing spa-like environment. I have something to offer to women from ages 18-80. Any Specials for new customers? I offer monthly specials. For the month of July, anyone who brings in canned food to donate to “Second Harvest Food Bank” can purchase a 90-minute facial for only $45!
Lastly, what advice would you have for someone trying to start their own Business? “Don’t give up. Once upon a time, in the land of Oz, lived a creative little city gal named Jennifer. Jennifer is the owner and operator of Sugar Skulls Bootique. A unique accessories spot for those of us looking for something to make our daily outfits pop. Speaking of Pop. The merchandise is a mix of Pop meets Pirate. I saw the most interesting Octopus necklace that really caught my eye. What is the story behind the Creations? Jennifer feels that she has always had a strong creative desire that she recently unleashed in her jewelry making. Some of her inspirations are “Emily Dear Heart” and her mother of course in whom she teams up with to make her infinity scarf collection. “ I have only been doing this since early 2017 so it hasn’t been long into living my dream of jewelry making.” Say Jen. She says that life inspires her to create and she puts her talent into each piece she makes. “Seeing my customers reactions and hearing the comments are very Rewarding.” Says Jen Eventually, opening a store front is a goal, but for now Jennifer enjoys interacting With the community at local Arts and Crafts fairs and is currently working on Perfecting her social media presence. “What many people do not know is that, the jewelry i make is hand molded, glazed and baked so when it comes to standing out from other business in my city, I would say that i truly stand out.” Says our Artist. I do a lot of hunting on Facebook or Instagram for new businesses and unique products. The main thing that stood out for me when choosing “Fashion Gang� was the superb Sunglasses.
