“Hello, I am Dilynn, I work as a Hostess part time at a local restaurant in Topeka. I also do some modeling from time to time. I have been modeling for about a year and half. I give a lot of credit to my wonderful husband Jeff and to Jodine of LipSmack productions and LipSmack Studios and of course all of my wonderful photographers as well. I have also done A little acting for the last three years, small parts in a Renfest play and small parts for local movies. I also do my own make-up.I am not a professional makeup artist but I love playing with make-up it's my hobby of sorts. I’d have to say, My mom inspired me to go for my dreams, she said that I can do anything I want if I put my mind to it, I know she is still guiding me in spirit and that keeps me motivated. I am a huge fan of The Rockabilly Era. The clothing, the music and especially the hairstyles. Even though Victory Rolls Date back to the War in the 40’s, The style lasted for many decades and is still relevant today. I asked a friend to present her take on the look and here is a stepbystep tutorial. Introducing the hair and makeup maven Brittany. Before you Begin, You will need these items. *Bobby Pins *Comb *Teasing comb *Hair Tie *Curling iron *Hairspray
1. part hair down the side with bangs down or up. i decided to leave my bangs out 2. divide hair into front and back sections. pull back section into a low side ponytail 3. take one section of the hair in the front and tease with a teasing comb 4. roll the section of the hair starting with the end, in towards the part 5. use bobby pins to pin down the rolls from the inside of the roll 6. use hairspray to lock in the rolls 7. you may have stray hairs hanging down in the front, (like i do) these will be curled in a later step 8. repeat steps 36 on the other half of hair 9. curl pieces of hair that are out and hair that is in the hair tie in the back

My name is Ella Thompson I own EllaMental Photography based out of the Midwest. I am a 25 year old Full time college student and currently a resident in Wichita, Kansas. My home is where my heart is and that for me is anywhere along the coast. I have traveled the world and I have been taking pictures not only to document but as a hobby my whole life, It wasn't until about 4 years ago I realized how much I truly enjoyed it and decided to pursue it as a career. I like to think that what sets me apart from the rest is the fact that I tend to lean more towards a grungy alternative and urban take on the classic photo with a hint of sex appeal. I shoot all types of models and subjects and I even dabble here and there in the scenery's of life. My camera does not discriminate. I do not work out of a studio right now I prefer to keep it casual, comfortable and low key. I have traveling equipment so that I can set up anywhere and anytime. I have found that this makes for a more personal environment where being yourself is your only option. I have been told by clients in the past that I am a "blast" to work with, which I pride myself on. I am a firm believer that the best picture comes when your not determined to pose. As for what inspires me, a little bit of everything. The simplest thing that can grab my attention can also quickly become my muse. Whether it be a color dynamic, a vintage portrait, or an individual walking by. With every picture I take I see a new beginning. The beauty that can be captured in a single photograph is worth more to me than any story you could tell. Every person has a message and I offer the ability to convey that message without words. Hidden talent at the ranch By Citty Kat “Something clicks in my head and I snap the shutter." This is when Cherie knows to pull the Camera out and snap a picture. She got her first camera on her 16th birthday, and her passion for photography was started. Her first passion was horses, and for many years photography played second to that interest. But the two were always together, as the thousands of horse photos in photo books can attest. Here in the last 5 years or so, she has become very serious about photography, and has continued to upgrade her equipment as she has improved her skills. Thus Allowing her to take some amazing photos. Finding the Topeka Photographers FaceBook group, and participating in several group shoots gave her confidence in shooting people, and she met many fabulous models and photographers Along the way. Now the ideas keep coming, as seen in her 'Girls N Guitars' series Which is both original and creative. "You can't stop learning to be a better photographer" Cherie says, and she has found some of her best pictures have been a collaboration between ideas she and the models share back and forth. "Nothing is more satisfying than having the whole picture come together, and hearing that 'click' go off in my head - you know you’ve got a good one!" Story By Ashia Ackov Her name is Lindsay Rae Spurlock , Her Music...MESMERIZING. Lindsay is a pop singer who hails from Louisiana. Born in Lafayette (2 hours west of New Orleans) but predominantly raised in Baton Rouge. Lindsay Rae is the only child to her father, who raised her since she was 3 years old. She started writing songs on the guitar at age 16, and a few years after began playing piano.
Singing and songwriting sort of runs in the family Being that she is the cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis. During her college years Spurlock played and toured in a progressive art rock band, called Lucid Soule.Between her frequent trips from Austin To Los Angeles For Music Meetings which specialize in Sync Licensing That have placed her songs in Various Films and Television shows such as” Adult Swim’s Children's Hospital”, Lindsay decided in 2010 to make the move to California. Since then she has received excellent feedback from The shows she has played there in Hollywood.” I knew I was meant to do this when I wrote my first song on guitar. When i first Looked this artist up, i heard his track called “I’ve waited my whole life.” That song is on point, i mean the lyrics are deep you can groove to the beat, that is music you can ride to. Put the top down and cruise the Boulevard with that. The beat goes hard. So yes, as a new artist out there, it takes a lot to sale a critic like me and i am SOLD! ChiChing. Who is “New Era”? Mateo Cruz rains from Wichita Kansas. The Artist/Producer has lived and seen his fair share of strife and struggle. The 28 year old rapper says he was kidnapped as a child, and at the age of 2, his uncle took a bullet for him. In 2009, he was homeless . This is where I discovered modeling and completely fell in love with it! I love everything about it from the hair and makeup to the actual photo shoot. Story By Ashia Ackov Meet Khalil, A 22 year old senior Graduating from Northeastern University in Oklahoma. He like other 22 yr olds could have taken another path in life, Could have turned to the streets, Made excuses, Gave up, But he didn’t. He has lost family and friends to the “Street life” He overcame the stereotypes and Directed his own life instead of caving to the pressure. Khalil was born with a Hole in his heart on top of a heart Murmur. So you would think those health issues would have slowed him down in life. Not the case. He has been playing Sports since Middle school. In 2007 he was a 2 time state Champ on Topeka High’s Track team. He has attended and played football for Coffeyville Red Ravens and Northeastern states’ riverhawks defensive.
