Forget the Turn Up.... It’s time to get Lytt!!!

Story By Citty Kat

I was hanging out with my family a few weeks before Christmas, when i stopped at a local liqUOr store to stock up for the New Year. That is when i came across a new alcoholic beverage called Lytt. I was hooked. This is a delicious drink that doesn’t leave a sour aftertaste or get you really wasted after one can. It is just a feel good burst of energy in a can. It really has an awesome kick. Founder and C.E.O Michel Myara gave us an exclusive interview

When did you start the business? I began working on Lytt in 2010. At the time, i wanted to call the drink Epic! A few years later, money was getting tight and i received an offer to sell the “Epic” trademark. With the sell of my original name, I then realized that we needed a new name. That is when i came up with Lytt! I formed the company in 2012, we soon started shipping this product in July of 2016. I know it is a huge time gap but good things take time. What inspired you to open this type of business? I started out in the non-alcoholic beverage industry, but i always knew that alcohol is where the money is. Do you feel there is a need for this type of business in your city? I feel that beer or craft beers are not for everyone. There is however a market for high alcohol by volume, flavored Malt Beverages. Our Flavors are quite diverse: Hard Cherry Lime, Fruit Punch and Hard Peach Tea. Plus, our Tea only uses natural flavors. We really have something for everyone. How does your business stand out from others similar? Lytt is the only alcoholic beverage to contain“Guarana”. An herb from Brazil. Our drink is 12% alcohol by volume 24oz. and only $3.00 Who are your Target Market? College students of legal age, Partiers, everyone. Those who work hard and want to unwind by getting Lytt. What are your business hours and where are you located? In Kansas, Lytt is distributed by SpeakEasy Distribution, a local entrepreneurial business just like us. Many liqour stores in Wichita Kansas already carry Lytt. If your favorite store doesn’t carry it, Just go to : to www.SpeakEasyKS.com or call (316) 641-7272 - Their IG is @speakeasy_ks

Pretty Vicki

Story by Phantom

When we last caught up with Miss Victoria Robinson, she was a 6th grader at Jardine Middle School. At that time, Vicki was modeling for Mismatched Misfitz Clothing and pretty shy about being in front of a camera. “ I have always loved modeling and playing dress up but never dreamed that i would be able to grace the cover of a magazine.” Says Robinson. Well, not only is she our cover, We really see a bright future for the stunning, now 18 year old. Victoria is a recent graduate of Lawrence High and is on her way to College this Summer. “I have a lot of haters, but those who love and support me are the only thing i care about. Surround yourself with positive people and do what you do.” Smiles Vicki. We here at AV Mag certainly love and support you and can’t wait to see how you blossom.

Launching you to Success

Indie Game Launchpad

Story by Ashia Ackov He goes by the name Oliver, and he is a game developers angel when it comes to fast free effective advertising. He even seeks you out and offers help. I want to tell you a little about what he can do for you as an Indie game developer. His company, Indie Game Launchpad will showcase and promote your game for free and is designed to support the indie community and gamers. If you are a developer you can register at http://www.indiegamelaunchpad.io/registration/ and add your game. Oliver has a YouTube channel which you can find at: http://bit.ly/29XUIic . Here, he works with guest presenters to make “Lets Try” videos of the games on the site. He partners with IndieView podcast with the aim to help developers get their message across and promote their games via interviews. Check it out at: http://www.indiegamelaunchpad.io/podcast Games are added daily and Oliver constantly adds new features to the site so check back regularly. Here are some facts that Oliver wants you to know. “Indie Game Launchpad has now been live since June 2016 and I am proud and happy to say that there are now over 500 game pageson the site. The YouTube channel is being regularly updated with great content from Jupiter Hadley and JonBoy Games and the newest addition to the partner line up has been IndieView podcast. It’s been really great to meet and speak to all of the great developers and partners that use and contribute to the site. Podcast channel features several developers. There are 14 episodes and over 10 hours of interviews. After a lifelong passion for gaming, I have finally started to properly learn to code games…in what little spare time I have. I recently went to the EGX rezzed show and, after speaking with a lot of developers, I realised 2 things: 1. Everyone is so friendly and happy to help each other. 2. Everyone has the same concern during development and upon completion…..’How do I tell the world about my game?’ I know there are sites out there already which help promote games and of course there is social media, but I thought I would pause my game development education to try and lend a hand to the indie community myself.” His passion and dedication alone makes this a compnay i just had to feature because now-a-days, who offers this kind of quality service for free? Go ahead, I’ll wait. Check out Indie Game Laundpad and please support the one who supports us all. http://www.indiegamelaunchpad.io/

Wildcard Studios “A Company you Should Know.”

Not just any Indie Game Developers......

Story By Citty Kat

Wizards: Home is one of the newest games that we released for the New Year. This game is about a young Wizard Apprentice named Blue. While working on a experiment in the lab, something goes awry and blue releases magic into the kingdom that needs to be collect, fast. This game is currently available on PC and Wii systems. Another interesting game for our Steampunk fans is called Called Cog Mayhem. This fast pace multiplayer game is a puzzle that you will have to use your wits to be the last man standing. In single player mode, you will need to collect diamonds in hazardous conditions that become more reckless as you progress. Most indie game developers work in small groups to focus on one really important project to them. In some cases they are able to produce a widely successful game. However, this isn’t the case for most indie developers, and we try not to worry about it. Instead, we focus on ways to expand. We focus on creative ways to make games, or make our games better. We’ve realized that people are the ones who make it possible. An idea can only get you so far. You need to be able to produce effectively. And what happens when two or more people have a different idea in mind? Well, we’ve decided to keep an open mind, and give each other the opportunity to case their dreams. To make the game they we creatively envision. What this means for our studio is that most of us, if not all of us, are constantly working on a number of projects together. It’s a lot of work, but that is why we are always looking to bring on new team members, college interns who want a chance to learn and grow. Anyone with a passion for gaming is welcomed. Regardless of skill level. Most of us didn’t know what we were doing when we first got involved, but we made a conscious decision to work hard, and see this thing through. We learn together, we grow together, and we want to pass that knowledge on together. To share our journey with anyone up to the challenge. Being a game developer in the Detroit Metro Area, or Michigan for that matter isn’t a common trade. The industry tends to force people to move to major cities like San Francisco, Vancouver, and New York, but what about the people who don’t want to leave their entire life behind to work on games? Detroit is known for many things, cars, music and we want it to also be known for gaming. Chris Vann, CEO of Wildcard Studios has given us a chance to keep our lives, and pursue our dreams. Most of us have the luxury of working remotely, and having dinner with the family every night, and most of us work during any spare time we might have, but none of us had to give up our friends, family, our homes, or our lives. And we like it that way. It’s like getting the best of both worlds. We are currently looking for interns. If you are a Graphic Design student looking for real world experience and training, apply now : http://wildcardstudios.org/home/game-creation-job-application/?v=76180dafb70c We work hard, and play hard....literally
