Meet our covergirl, Kelsey. Why did we call her a vivacious vixen, well, the vivacious speaks for itself, and vixen, well because she is a fox!! Looks may be a part of it all, but Kelsey is much more than a pretty face. However, i must say, she is ROCKIN’ the cover, voted best cover by our staff in two years. A kudos goes out to her for sharing her talent. Upon interviewing Ms. Roberts, this is what she wants you to know: 1. How long have you been modeling? I started modeling 20 years ago but retired for a 6 year stretch; I am happy to have been back in the business for several years. . 2. What are your measurements? 34G 2737 3. Who are some of your favorite photographers to work with? John Thournbrugh, Elizabeth Renee Dodder, David Bram, Tommy Brison, Brian MitchellRicky, Gene Starr, Maverick Bolen, Samantha Bessent, Marc Grant.. the list goes on and on. There are so many talented photographers out there! 4. Anyone inspire you to do what you do? I met my agent almost 20 years ago and she was amazing! I don’t use an agency now but she taught me so much, helping me to believe in myself.
5. What is your fantasy photo shoot? Art modeling is my favorite I love to contribute to the creative process whether it is photography or other artistic medium. Experimenting with new styles is great too and I would love to try Gore, Steampunk or CosPlay. 6. What makes you stand out from average models? I curate a gallery in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City; am the new Director of Media for House of Style; am a KU Law Graduate and a mom to a very cool little boy. 7. Sweet Dreams Princess By Ashia Ackov Mesha Harris is a talented designer from Norman Oklahoma. Since 2011, she owns and operates SDP. Sweet Dreams Princess is an etsy shop that specializes in handmade items such as Lolita, Fairy Kei, Hime, Gyaru, Japanese pop and Kawaii Fashions.” I love to create. “ Say Harris, “It doesn't even matter what it is...as long as I'm making something with my hands I'll be happy. . It doesn't matter if I am designing a new outfit, sewing, drawing, cooking, putting something together... it brings even more joy to my heart to create something for someone else. I have been creating my whole life, Since high school, i dreamt of being a fashion designer and at my very first fashion show, was when the spark for my passion ignited. “ “My inspiration comes from so many different areas. From fairy tales to steampunk and i adore Japanese streetwear. “Lolita” in their culture is huge. The girls really go all out and look like life size dolls.” Says Ms. Harris. Another thing she mentioned that touched me is the philosophy that both our grandparents taught us. I swear, my Grandma used the same exact quote in raising me too, and that is: “You should always look your best, it doesn’t matter if you're going 10 feet outside to check your mailbox, the gas station, etc. because you never know who you may run into.” Amen to that and having had “Old School” grandma’s. She said that her inspiration also came from being raised by her grandparents. “ The house was full of little cherubs, cute animals, lace, flowers and pearls..You can definitely see that in my designs too. Says Mesha. The kind of customers i am trying to reach are young adults and teens. The Cosplayers, Girls who are not afraid to be different. Getting a chance to do fashion shows has taught me that people use sexy imagery to be popular. I see it all the time, but that is not me. I am striving to bring something different to the table. When you use sex, it can become more about the model and less about the clothing. I am exactly opposite and that is what makes me different. I love to play on the cute, sweet, innocence of childhood. At my very first show, i recall a man come up to me and compliment me on how different i was from the other designers, He said he loved how cute my models were not being all exposed because it really lets you focus on the designs. Those words meant alot to me. The band Daikaiju has a sound that is the combination of electro/sonic/spaceage Rock, With a sound you have to witness for yourself. When i first discovered this band, i listened to a few tracks, but there was one that i connected with, one that disconnected me from the world and took me into outer space, outer limits. “Escape from Nebula M. Spacehunter” has to be one of the most righteous sounds i have bonded with in a long time and i must say, i am a hard cookie to crumble being from the 70’s when rock was rock and it was heavy. It reminded me of ninjas’ sword fights, hot harajuku girls dancing on a stage in the background cheering the chaos on. Almost reminded me of the soundtrack to Kill Bill Vol.1 It was pretty awesome. Daikaiju consist of 4 bandmates from Huntsville Alabama. There’s BlastMan on the drums, PulseMan on Bass, And then there’s SecretMan & RockMan on Guitar. The band has spent most of 2014 touring covering major cities from Portland Or. all the way to Brooklyn Ny. They have a pretty major following with fans from all over the world. I am not sure why they haven’t been discovered mainstream yet, but we are glad the remain underground and loyal to their fans giving us what we really want….Real Music!!! Here he is AV Mags Most Gorgeous Man of the Year, Timothy Daniels. Tim is a 5’10 170lb. hunk of a model from Oklahoma City. Mr. Daniels is 24 years old and just getting back into the Modeling scene trying to get into more Lucrative gigs. “I’m actually just now getting back into modeling after a couple of years.Between school and work, i actually have a pretty busy life, constantly on the go. However, i’d like to start back up and do some new types of shoots, editorial, Coed, or even fashion. It Hits The Fan is the return of Durville Sweet. A character that was created by Extreme Entertainment owner Todd Sheet. It Hits The Fan was Written and Directed by Antwoine Steele. The film is part of a anthology that deals with a restroom. Durville Sweet played by Antwoine Steele and his girlfriend Sweet Momma played by Melissa Stump, stop at a rest stop so she can use the restroom. Sweet Momma disappear in a portal and Durville has to locate her in another realm. While in the different plane he comes upon zombies that are control by Lord Feculence played by Johnnie Reed. While Durville is fighting the zombies he comes upon a female zombie who he thinks is cute so he keeps her and names her Zombie Ho played by Dilynn. While searching for Sweet Momma he locates Lord Feculence and they fight it out to save Sweet Momma . Dilynn also plays another character name Sweet Tits in the film, And another part of the anthology called The Crawler which was written and Directed by Amanda Payton. That is just a sample from the book Ava’s Destiny. The book is a new mini suspense that is the first of 2 in short stories. The author, Ashia Ackov is our very own magazine Founder. She said she wanted to base her stories from both fact and fiction. The mystery is, you decide what’s real and what’s fake. Instead of setting her story in cliche` Big cities, she chose a former hometown, Wichita Kansas as where all the action takes place. Mrs. Ackov, has Ava, the main character, similar to herself. “I always wanted to be the one to save the day like a super hero or something like that, and even though Ava wasn’t a super vixen, she did save the day so to speak. “ This book is a great travel companion, short enough to get through before your vacation ends and long enough to keep you interested.
