AC DC ENERGY was founded in 1998 by Christine Keating who now has more than 40 years of experience within the yachting world.

AC DC ENERGY provides specialized services in marine lighting. In those early days this mainly involved replacement lightbulbs, lightfittings for the exterior and interior and all lighting accessories. The lightbulb was the bain of all engineers lives as there were so many different types on board and Christine quickly acquired the knowledge to take that load off their shoulders. Christine was then known affectionately as the Lightbulb Lady and even though today she mainly deals in Worldwide Consulting, Refits etc., the name Lightbulb Lady has stuck.

AC DC ENERGY, over the past 24 Years, has worked hand in hand with many of the world’s leading lighting manufacturers and experts on new developments and the sourcing of hard to find products. The company has also assisted many parties to enable them to keep abreast of the rapid evolution and deployment of LED lighting, techniques and products. They have consulted with yachts worldwide, offering advice on small or large projects as vessels convert to LED.

The advice and co-ordination offered on any lighting project, be it on a small or large vessel, power or sail, and always being on-hand to keep engineers informed, or up to date on any possible delays or problems, can make life on board a yacht far less stressful than it needs to be.
