The Theme We chose the island of Gozo for this issue’s photo shoot because we believe it simply has so much to offer. Whatever your theme, wedding specialists can be found who can make your vision come true. Natural unspoilt rustic beauty together with lovely views will serve as the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. When coming up with a theme for your wedding, Elaine from Elegant Impressions shows that it is possible to blend modern, streamlined decor with the natural countryside charm of a venue such as the unique, picturesque Ta’ Cenc Hotel in Sannat, Gozo. The enchanting setting of Palazzo Paladino which can be found on the

grounds of Ta’ Cenc is pure magic, with its limestone walls and breathtaking outdoors area. If the weather plays havoc with your plans (as it almost did with our photo shoot!)the reception or sit-down dinner can easily be moved inside. To avoid too much black and being monotonous, the key is to layer different textures and finishes. Matt and shiny, lace, tulle and silk. This is then broken up with various shades of grey. Our model is a young, Maltese natural beauty, Yazmin who convinced her real-life boyfriend Daren to join her in this photo shoot. In the vases he used anthuriums, hydrangea, phlaenopsis orchid and vanda orchid The deco items on the table, also from Flower Arts show different sizes of cube vases and black candelabras to complete the effect. For the cake area (next page) he used hanging glass spheres with candles and fresh flowers to complement the elegant cake server and champagne glasses from Charming Diva. The black and white cake in three tier different ‘box shapes’ and covered in frosting, is the creation of Glorianne from Cuppy Cakes and is a great idea for a couple who are not afraid to be daring and original.
