Welcome to San Dan and the 20th Annual Bull Sale. Ursula and George along with the boys at Springside, offer one of the feature groups of sires selling this spring season! San Dan’s lineup of fall born bulls is the best group to date.... rugged, hairy and tons of performance. These fall bulls are virtually raised on grass as they only get supplemented a high roughage ration in the late fall preparing them for the bull sale. Since they are six months older than their contemporaries, they have a higher degree of fertility and can be exposed to more females throughout the breeding season. In addition to plenty of performance, these bulls have a higher maternal factor as they stem back to famous families developed by Ursula. The Springside yearling offering is powerful; featuring sons of Winn Mans Chavez, including SOS Gaucho 139D....one of the most kicked-up bulls at Agribition where he was a divisional reserve champion! Breeder and exhibitors of the reigning Canadian National Champion Bull, SOS Chuckwagon 54C, at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. A month later, Mike and Bob sold the record setting female in Canada, SOS Jessicah at the Alberta Charolais Select Sale. Like their show herd campaigned during the past fall, the bulls are uniform and competitive.....an abundance of hair, full of muscle shape and carrying the most important trait which the breed is noted for....weight per day of age! The boys have established a great predictable program and are one of the great ambassadors of the Charolais breed. We all realize the importance of Charolais influence in the beef cattle industry. Each fall, “Charo-nomics” kick in and Char-cross stockers continue to top the marketplace in both price and weight! Please note that the date has moved up to the last Saturday in February.
