Welcome to our 17th annual Bull Sale! All of us at Double Bar D really appreciate your patronage in our cattle year after year. That support gives us the confidence to keep on pursuing to improve and accelerate our genetics into the future. We try to raise bulls that are pasture ready, raised on a high roughage based ration with mostly silage and ground hay keeping the longevity of your bulls in mind. Take note of the 100 plus bulls that are age advantaged, that are willing and able to count on to cover more cows and ground similar to that of your walking, mature bulls. We once again welcome Greg and Brandon Goudy of Swan Lake Farms with their stout, ranch ready bulls! We are very confident in our offering this year with a diverse, yet consistent offering to meet your herd bull needs. The Fleckvieh group offers some new and exciting sire groups of power bulls along with moderate bulls to suit your calving needs. The Red and Black Purebred sector has ranch ready bulls with good substance and dimension that calve well and add pounds to your calf crop. This year we arguably have the best group of SimmAngus bulls to date that are easy doing and moderate. Ready for the commercial cattlemen! Thanks to all of the Double Bar D Crew who throughout the year, in whichever season, are dedicated and willing to do and complete all of the jobs that need to get done on the farm. Double Bar D Warranty
All bulls born prior to January 1, 2016 will be semen evaluated and have passed the test by a licensed Veterinarian. 2015 born bulls will have a physical breeding soundness exam and deemed likely to pass a semen evaluation. Please indicate when you need your bulls. All bulls will be semen tested prior to shipment. We encourage you to buy insurance on your newly purchased bull to protest your investment. Insurance agents will be available on sale day. If your bull or female should fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he or she will be replaced with a bull or heifer of equal value. If this cannot be agreed upon, an adjustment will be made or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another on of our animals. Please check your animal frequently and contact us early if you have any questions or concerns. Double Bar D Farms will not be responsible for any financial loss above the purchase price of the animal. Double Bar D Farms will not cover the loss of an animal that has been mismanaged or physically injured, however, we will assist you in providing another bull to use if needed. We always have back-up bulls available. In cases where a heifer has been subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques following the sale, warranty shall be null and void.
