Wecome to the 13th annual Best of the Breeds bull sale. We are very excited about the bulls we have on offer this year. We will have both red and black bulls that will work on heifers and performance bulls to produce those scale busting steers. Our bulls come from good footed, neat uddered cows that are low maintenance. At Goodview we put a lot of emphasis on our cows so you can buy with confidence knowing that the bull you purchased is from a sound problem free cow herd. Gelbvieh is a continental breed that have very strong maternal traits such as docilityand rich milk produced in tight correct udders. Gelbvieh will add that extra muscle to give your calves the extra pounds you’re looking for at sale time. Gelbvieh calves are born with vigor which is one of the reasons why Gelbvieh influenced females wean more pounds of calf per cow exposed. Use gelbvieh bulls in your cross breeding program to get early maturing long lasting females as well as sale topping steer calves. We continue to use the same feeding program which is a high fiber bull developer pellet mixed with whole oats, bunk fed barley oat silage and a grass alfalfa mixed hay. This diet develops a healthy rumen while maintaining good long term health. We target a 3.5 pound average gain to develop good footed, long lasting bulls that will last for their new owners. If you can’t make the sale feel free to call or stop by anytime to tour the bull pen as well as the cows and their 2017 calves. Join us Saturday evening at our hotel and stay the night. If you purchase a bull from Goodview Gelbvieh we will pay for your one night stay. 113D is a bull we showed this fall. He is long spined,good haired and width in his hip second to none. Out of an Outback 142X daughter and sired by BLB Stacker, a bull that styled his calves just like113D. Born at 76 pounds gaining 4.01 pounds on test.
