I WILL…

I WILL

SHINE CONFIDENCE & FAITH I will, with God’s help. Every day at St. Luke’s begins with this noble conviction. From this foundation, a student stands before the class and boldly recites a memorized poem. A teacher develops a new strategy to engage students in the study of history. A parent volunteer orchestrates a lab experience that makes science come alive. The broad experience of our faculty, the breadth of

our curriculum and the peaceful setting of our campus make St. Luke’s a remarkable place, but it is the contagious spirit within the St. Luke’s family that most distinguishes our school. Students, teachers, parents and friends are bound together by a common mission, aspiring to be lifelong learners who strive to brighten the lives of others. We believe, and remind one another daily, that God makes all of these things possible.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” — Isaiah 60:11

ACHIEVE CHALLENGING ACADEMICS & INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION At St. Luke’s, we view achievement as more than awards to our personal trophy cabinets. Through a variety of challenging experiences, our students are nurtured and empowered to attain their personal best. Our rigorous academic program pushes students to exceed their own expectations. Passionate teachers focus on the needs of each student, using proven and innovative strategies that make learning lively and engaging. In reading and math, science and foreign language, St. Luke’s students are immersed in a stimulating environment that fosters self-discipline, resiliency, and creative problem solving. From a young age, our students experience the thrill of succeeding and the value of making

mistakes — discovering that both are equally vital for personal growth. After all, what we become as a result of our achievements is far more important than what we receive from them.

EXPLORE C O- C UR R IC ULA R & E N R IC HME NT OP P ORT UN IT IE S Our students are extremely blessed with vast opportunities beyond the classroom. We offer extensive co-curricular and enrichment programs because we believe in getting young learners out of their seats and away from their desks. St. Luke’s facilitates opportunities for our students to develop new abilities and explore new interests. Getting outside the traditional classroom setting supports our holistic approach to education, giving each student a multi-faceted path to develop confidence, problem solving, and creativity. Our championship athletic program cultivates perseverance, a competitive spirit, and an appreciation of teamwork. Important life lessons are reinforced on the court, on the stage, and in the dance studio. Annual Outdoor School adventures deepen our students’ understanding of the natural world and their responsibility to take care of it. Opportunities are endless at St. Luke’s — so too is the potential in each student.

As a school community, we aspire to illuminate our students so that when they move on, they are ready to inspire others. Shine, Achieve, Explore, Serve, and Lead are more than words on paper for our students. St. Luke’s graduates know that, with God’s help, they will.
