THE ST. LUKE’S FUND:

SPRING SCHOLARSHIP EVENT

Your first priority for giving!

The St. Luke’s Fund 2014-2015 financed:

Every successful independent school relies on strong annual giving. Like our peer schools, tuition revenue does not fully cover the cost of the extensive benefits of a St. Luke’s education. According to the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), independent schools raised an average of over $1,700 per student in gifts and grants in 2013-2014. Contributions to the St. Luke’s Fund are essential to the provision of a “margin of excellence” and limit tuition increases, keeping St. Luke’s within reach for as many families as possible. As the major source of unrestricted gifts, the Fund supports the school’s outstanding curriculum and programs and allows our school leaders to explore exciting opportunities that may fall outside of the operating budget. Please join this year’s chairs Jeff and Leslie Miller P’17, ’20 and our dedicated Leadership Council in their commitment to make the 2015-2016 campaign a tremendous success.

Wednesday, April 13, 2016 The Foster family created the John R. Foster Scholarship Fund at St. Luke’s Episcopal School to honor the memory of an extraordinary man whose Episcopal education forged deep commitments to lifelong learning, service to others, and worship in the Anglican tradition. This full-tuition, need-based scholarship is awarded annually to a new 6th grader with a demonstrated record of academic achievement and a “servant’s heart.” Since 2010, the Spring Scholarship Event Committee and St. Luke’s Advancement Office have collaborated with John and Bette’s son, singer/songwriter Radney Foster, to organize an annual concert open to the San Antonio community to benefit the John R. Foster Scholarship Fund. Chairs: Jenifer Brown and Tracee Feik

KALEIDOSCOPE Friday, November 13, 2015

Every successful independent school relies on STRONG ANNUAL GIVING.

Kaleidoscope is St. Luke’s annual benefit and night of “fun” raising. You can contribute to Kaleidoscope by donating to the live or silent auction, helping to underwrite the event, purchasing tickets and tables, and bidding in person or on-line. Proceeds from Kaleidoscope 2015 will be partially restricted toward further outfitting our new MakerSpace lab, updating our playground facilities, and upgrading the St. Luke’s transportation fleet. The remainder of the funds will be used to support the operating budget and special projects designated by the Head of School and Board of Trustees. Chairs: Amy Garcia and Amy Swaney

SHOPPING & DINING FOR DOLLARS St. Luke’s is pleased to partner with local restaurants and stores who give a percentage of their profits from St. Luke’s patronage on a designated day to the school. Our supporters can meet up with friends to eat, shop, and benefit St. Luke’s and our local businesses. A detailed calendar is available in the Giving section of our website. Shopping and Dining for Dollars is a joint initiative between the Advancement Office and Parent Council. Profits are used by Parent Council primarily to support the teacher appreciation program, and remaining proceeds are given to the annual fund. Chairs: Kristina Collmar and Josie Dorris
