Alvorade Sara Claro
Alvorade is a composition for the traditional Woodwind Quintet with 2 distinctive movements - Alvor and Arade. Both water courses, in the south of Portugal, in the surroundings of the city of Portimão. Arade one of the main rivers of this region, Alvor one of the many water stream estuary that fills the beauty of Algarve. During the piece, water elements are present both in rhythm and in melody lines through the instruments, connecting each other in a very particular way. Alvorade is a light and fresh piece, with 8 minutes, ideal for competitions and concerts.

Exhibitions in April
The University of Évora is hosting the 5th FLAUTUÉ Festival, a meeting for flute students, teacher, researchers and other instrument performers. Scherzo Editions was there on the last editions of this great festival exhibiting its products, with special spotlight to LEFREQUE - the ultimate sound bridge for ALL wind instruments. This time we will be together with or group partner Arpejo Editora on Friday, March 3, during the whole day of Masterclasses and presentations. You are very welcome to visit us at the Music Department of the University of Évora (Rua do Raimundo 104), try the LefreQue, check our latest scores for the flute and find other accessories, books, etc.
