Norman Haggett Memorial Service – Sat 19th May We were saddened to learn of the death of Norman Haggett on 22nd February, aged 92. He and his wife Beryl taught at Radley for over 20 years, only recently retiring! A memorial service will be held in his honour in Chapel at Radley College at 11am on Saturday 19th May and all are welcome. Light refreshments will then be provided in the Coffee Shop.Please let us know you are coming here. Donations in memory of 'Mr H' to the RAF Benevolent Fund will also be gratefully received.

Shell Parents Summer Drinks – Tue 15th May We are pleased to invite Shell parents to the Oriental Club, London, to get to know each other better at the end of your son's first year at Radley. Register here. 6.2 Parents Summer Drinks – Wed 16th May We invite parents of 6.2 leavers to the Oriental Club, London, to get together and mark the end of your son's time at Radley and find out more about the Radleian Society. Young OR Summer Drinks – Tue 12th June The Young OR Summer Drinks Party is an opportunity for young ORs to catch up with each other and get to know more about what the Radleian Society and Radley For Life can offer you. Please register your attendance here.

Radley Reunions 2018 – Save the Date We are delighted to be holding two Reunions at Radley this year. On Saturday 15th September we are hosting a dinner for Year Groups 1973 – 1978. On Sunday 7th October there is a celebratory lunch for those who left 50 years ago. We need your help gathering attendees from your year group: please contact radsoc@radley.org.uk.

Radley Wildebloods Launch Party – Wed 11th April The first event for the new LGBT+ club is to be held on Wednesday 11th April at The Phene, London SW3. You can find out more about the Radley Wildebloods here or on their website, where you can also book on to this event.


Join Adrian Goldsmith at his charity concert at Cadogan Hall – Wed 23rd May You are warmly invited to Adrian Goldsmith's (1967) second charity concert, featuring the world premiere of his 2nd Piano Concerto, in aid of the Urology Foundation. Money raised will go directly into research and towards the long awaited goal of just taking a pill to stop a cancer - you can find out more here.

RECENT RADLEIAN SOCIETY EVENTS

Radley For Life Disruptive Technology network event The latest RFL networking event on 8th February was very well attended by ORs and Radley parents, with a fascinating discussion of the opportunities arising from disruptive technology. An overview is on the Radleian Society website along with a link to a video of the discussion session. A more in-depth report can be found in the February issue ofLusimus.

Young OR Christmas Drinks Eaton Square Bar in Belgravia was packed with over 150 Young ORs in December as they enjoyed their Christmas Drinks reception. Photos from the event can be seen here.

OR University Suppers - Edinburgh, Durham & Newcastle Early March saw Old Radleians currently studying at Edinburgh, Durham and Newcastle meet for their OR University Suppers with dons Richard Greed and Dan Pullen. Details and some pictures can be found on the Society website here.

Simon Hall retiring Simon Hall retires this summer after a very special Radley career spanning 21 years throughout which he worked with huge dedication with the Classics Department, D Social, and rugby, hockey and cricket teams. A surprise retirement gift of a book full of good wishes from his former students is being created and Iain Campbell would be delighted to receive contributions to it. Messages to be sent to ikc@radley.org.uk and please include your full name and year of arrival at Radley.
