Dagger Europe kayaks are moulded in EXL Super-linear plastic because of its unrivalled strength to weight ratio, abrasion resistance and durability. We use only the highest quality components including corrosion resistant brass inserts, 100% stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts. Each boat is pressure tested and checked for thickness in over twenty places with quality checkpoints after moulding, fitting and packaging.

At our state of the art rotomoulding factory we use only the best components, including moulded in brass inserts and stainless fittings. Every boat is hand finished and quality checked during moulding, fitting and before packing.

The Islander factory is part of Operation Clean Sweep, an international program to control plastic waste materials and to keep them out of the environment. ● We recycle the waste material from our kayak production. ● Through our partner, Odyssey Innovation, we produce the first kayaks made from marine recycled plastic, collected from the beaches and coastline of Cornwall, UK.

Superior plastic Our kayaks are made from EXL super-linear polyethylene plastic. From over twenty years of experience we can say this is the best plastic with a mix of high impact strength and good shape retention, it's also repairable and recyclable. All of our waste plastic is recycled and used again in the Fiesta and Calypso Recycled.

Islander kayaks have moulded in brass inserts for attachment of handles and lash points. These fittings are fully watertight, and keep the boats adaptable and durable.

The Islander Approach, Jive, Salsa, and Bolero come with adjustable drop down skegs to help keep you paddling straight, which are easily operated from the cockpit. They are made of aluminium for a durability.

Several models in the Islander Kayaks range are fitted with dual-density rubber hatches. A hard centre holds the shape and protects against implosion, and the softer compound outer makes a watertight seal on the boat.

Some models feature easily accessible hatches for items likes snacks or sunglasses. These watertight hatches feature a pull out bag so items are easy to find.

A contemporary foil shape in injection moulded carbon fibre filled nylon plastic. Lightweight Spectra cord replaces steel control wires, which is less inclined to jam and needs no special tools for maintenance. (Not compatible with Pro sea kayak models)

Orbix hatch cover The Phase 3 AirPro seat system takes cues from automobile technology â&#x20AC;&#x201C; variable density cushioning and intuitive adjustment, bringing materials together to make a lightweight, ventilated and multi-position seat that can be used all day without discomfort.

The Phase 3 AirPro Max gives kayak anglers a competitive advantage. Comfort and high quality materials as you would expect from Phase 3 seats with a patent pending full forward/aft trim range and three step (high, low and recline) position without any unclipping or loosening of straps. The seat back can also be folded flat to sit upon for more height over the water.

Innovative 'turn-and-lock' hinged hatch cover makes gear access easy. Latching the cover with a tight seal is just as easy, simply lock in place with the lever. With low profile locking levers, durable rubber gaskets and rubber lip seals. There are tabs on the inside of the rim compatible with new Orbix hatch bins.

Web seats

Mad River’s proprietary polyethylene triple layer material makes a tough, durable, maintenance-free, low cost hull. A foam core provides integral flotation and stiffness. High density linear polyethylene skins provide superior impact protection and are repairable. Triple Tough hulls are a little heavier than Royalex but offer similar performance characteristics. Our TT canoes are fitted with vinyl gunwales and web or plastic seats.

The Adventure 14 and 16 are moulded from linear high-density polyethylene. Polyethylene has excellent abrasion and impact resistance but if unsupported is too flexible for efficient paddling. So the hull, gunwales and seats are all moulded in one piece, which provides the necessary rigidity. The result is a very tough and virtually maintenance free hull, with simple plastic gunwales and seats at a very modest price.

Traditional flat ash framed seat with woven web seating. More durable than a cane seat.

Plastic seats Simple, strong and comfortable. Rotomoulded polyethylene are ideal for groups or for hire fleets.

Third centre seat The Explorer and Journey are both available with an optional factory fitted webbing seat in the middle, replacing the yoke.
