MAKING BETTER PADDLES

Every VE paddle is the culmination of over a decade of research and development, with input from some of the world's finest paddlers – the result is a blade curvature and dihedral that increases the paddle's grip all the way through the stroke. Prepreg composites (resins already infused in the fibres) allow for exact control over fibre to resin ratio – aerospace technology that makes consistently stronger paddles, and control that allows us to add 30% more fibre to our glass blades than a leading competitor, making VEs more wear resistant and also lighter!

VE's manufacturing facility, Clevedon, England. Made in the UK by Palm Equipment.

AIRCORE TECHNOLOGY

3D design and CNC precision moulding allows for a calculated distribution of material in the layup that gives extra strength where it's needed, but that's not all – VE Aircore carbon blades have buoyancy and structural strength without a foam core, which means we can have more reinforcing fibre in the blade than a conventional foam cored paddle, giving Aircore paddles greater puncture resistance and even lower weight.

VERTICAL ELEMENT ™

BLADES

PRO

Our most aggressive shape, providing instant power which lasts along the length of the stroke. With most of its surface area focussed near the tip of the blade. It's the ideal model for freestyle or surf paddling.

740 cm2 - carbon or glass

WHITEWATER KIDS

FLYTE

The Flyte has an aggressive catch, which rewards starting the stroke further forward but with a more gradual taper towards the neck the blade feels smoother in the later parts of the stroke. This shape is inspired by slalom.

735 cm2 - carbon or glass

CREEKER

With a narrower, mid-sized blade, tapering towards the neck; the Creeker has a gradual power transfer along the length of the stroke, ideal for long days on the river.

700 cm2 - carbon or glass

WISP

A kids/smaller paddlers blade shape. Whitewater focused, the Wisp shares a similar outline to the Creeker with a shorter length and slightly more pronounced catch. The Wisp model uses a 28 mm diameter shaft for smaller hands

615 cm2 - glass - 28 mm ø shaft

VOYAGER

A narrow cruising blade shape with small surface area and increased neck to tip length. Power is transferred gradually into the stroke as the blade submerges, reducing fatigue when used on long days.

633 cm2 - carbon

TOURING CANOE

EXPLORER

Mid-sized with quick power transfer and slightly more pronounced catch suiting a higher angle entry. The Explorer is a playful touring blade for rock hopping or surfing.

650cm2 - carbon or glass

PRO CANOE

An aggressive, powerful blade for OC1 whitewater and freestyle. A large blade surface with curvature and dihedral throughout to increase the paddle's grip through the stroke.

904 cm2 - carbon or glassT grip as standard

OFFSIDE

A touring canoe blade suited to paddling for longer periods where not every stroke is vertical. A smaller blade area compared to the Pro Canoe the round edges help knifing and other control strokes.

745 cm2 - carbon or glass - carbon comes with ergo grip

SHAFTS & GRIPS

GLASS

Ground and waxed grip finish. Ovalised grip indexing. More flexible but heavier than carbon.

CARBON

Ground grip finish. Ovalised grip indexing. Stiffer and lighter than glass for when reaction times really matter.

CARBON CRANK

Ergonomic moulded grip. Angled for neutral wrist alignment and neutral blade offset for low torque. Reduces grip stress and gives you unmatched blade awareness.

T-GRIP

An ergonomic grip, precision fit flush to the shaft. Injection moulded polypropylene.

GLASS-FIBRE SPLIT ADJUSTABLE

Low profile locking lever change your length and feather on the go. 360 degree adjustable with markings for 90° feather adjustment (10 cm of length adjustment).

CARBON ERGO GRIP

Exceptionally lightweight, this full carbon grip has a classic palm shape. Comfort and control for all day paddling. Standard on the Offside carbon model.

† Carbon Ergo Grip only available with Aircore Offside.

THE RANGE

Chose the paddle to match your style. Pick your blade shape, construction, shaft and then the personal touches like angle and length.

† Two-piece adjustable split option is straight shaft only. X - main line, X - available to order
