Web seats
Mad River’s proprietary polyethylene triple layer material makes a tough, durable, maintenance-free, low cost hull. A foam core provides integral flotation and stiffness. High density linear polyethylene skins provide superior impact protection and are repairable. Triple Tough hulls are a little heavier than Royalex but offer similar performance characteristics. Our TT canoes are fitted with vinyl gunwales and web or plastic seats.
The Adventure 14 and 16 are moulded from linear high-density polyethylene. Polyethylene has excellent abrasion and impact resistance but if unsupported is too flexible for efficient paddling. So the hull, gunwales and seats are all moulded in one piece, which provides the necessary rigidity. The result is a very tough and virtually maintenance free hull, with simple plastic gunwales and seats at a very modest price.
Traditional flat ash framed seat with woven web seating. More durable than a cane seat.
Plastic seats Simple, strong and comfortable. Rotomoulded polyethylene are ideal for groups or for hire fleets.
Third centre seat The Explorer and Journey are both available with an optional factory fitted webbing seat in the middle, replacing the yoke.
