PIPO TAFEL CURRICULUM VITAE
Pipo Tafel, video artist and dancer, was born in Stuttgart, South Germany, in 1979. He studied Media Arts at the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe and contemporary dance at the Folkwang University Essen. He completed his dance studies in 2007 with the accomplishment of the D.A.N.C.E. programme in Brussels, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Dresden. His collaborations include projects with artists such as William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor and Thierry De Mey. He has been showing his installation and dance related film works in festivals in Europe and northern America since 2006. Since 2010 he regularly teaches dance & film at the Palucca University for Dance Dresden for the Bachelor and Master Degrees as well as for foundations and cultural programs in Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia.
