An urban oasis in Midtown, the Garden includes 30 acres of outdoor gardens, an award-winning children’s garden, the serene Storza Woods with its unique Canopy Walk, and the new innovative Edible Garden and Outdoor Kitchen. Its “gardens under glass” include the Fuqua Conservatory, an organic biosphere and home to important collections of tropical palms and conifers; and the Fuqua Orchid Center, with the foremost collection of species orchids in the United States. The staff’s conservation work includes wetland preservation and carnivorous plant bogs across the Southeast as well as endangered species of amphibians from around the world. Rental fees directly support the Garden’s mission to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment.
