Hi, First of all, our 20th anniversary was just absolutely fantastic, unique, phenomenal, brilliant, bombastic, awesome and I could continue like this for a long time. Thank you once again, it means a lot to me. It was a BOMBSHELL! And as you can see we keep going. As for me, the 21st line-up is nearing my teenager dreams... this volume is just a success!!! It’s not just that I have been trying to book REPULSION for almost 15 years and it has suddenly happened... There’s another bunch of bands I have always wanted to see at OEF, like the American butchers CANNIBAL CORPSE or my beloved CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER. You just cannot believe it... and you would never think this band has to play under a different name but be sure to go check it out. LOWLIFE will load the hits proven by decades... believe me as soon as they had announced a comeback I got a ticket to LA and enjoyed this great show... and I’m very happy now that I have the chance to introduce them to you in Trutnov for the only exclusive performance of this band in Europe this year!!! But that’s not all. We have succeeded to convince Brazil`s grindcore veterans ROT to play a show. The iconic DROPDEAD or absolutely legendary SIEGE will come to please us enormously and to torment us with their ultra mosh... you know that Barney wears their T-shirts during concerts very often for example and as we know the guy has style!!! Anyway, we aren’t just about grind. So, I am pleased the reborn VOMITORY have chosen to play at our festival... or that bands that have not been with us for several years such as MISERY INDEX, NEGATIVE APPROACH, VITAMIN X or SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH are coming back!!! I would also like to recommend bands from smaller scenes such as Nepal`s death metal veterans UGRAKARMA, Korea`s grind speeders LITTLE PUPPY PRINCESS, grinding BURST from distant New Caledonia (have you ever checked on the map how far it is?), SOBRAS DEL DESCONTENTO from CHILE, Venezuela`s MAR DE RABIA or Serbian thrash riders NADIMAC!!! Check out the smaller bands too. I guarantee you that you will discover gems for yourself!!! PUNK AS FUCK! No need for big words. Everything is written in an editorial for this special day..., I am especially happy that we did manage to have the style legends such as GBH or OI POLLOI or the Czech punk gods TELEX!!!
Cashless system for the first time at OEF... believe me we did not have another option. The state wants to start the electronic cash evidence for festivals too, so there are not many other options to keep fighting..., we try to tweak the whole system as best as we can, but I would like to ask for forgiveness..., be sure to download an app that reads barcodes so that you have an overview of your spending!!! What makes me happy? Beer revolution!!! Maybe it sounds weird from an old nondrinker, but beer is our festival drink and me, when I see the enthusiasm of all the craft breweries’ brewers it reminds me of myself. It is clear to us that this is the first year and we do not know exactly what awaits us, but we have carefully selected all the beer. We really want to offer the best Czech beers also in the coming years and to change this on larger festivals for good..., of course we are very pleased we can offer to you two OEF specials Indian pale lager Blaster and Summer Ale 11° - “Grinder OEF”! Popular evergreen will again be the yellow riders of the apocalyptic wall of death.Will we find daredevils who will become the crew of our mixed refus wheelie bins? Next your mucus membranes, top and bottom ones too, will be tortured in our chilli contest. Dishes more scorching hot than your grandma’s knickers. And if your capsaicin-charred skin hasn’t left your backsides by then, you can try a round of the SM challenge, where you can expect whipping with all things possible and impossible. But have no fear, it won’t be a mackerel. It’ll just cheer in the audience. 16.00 - 16.25 FINAL FLAG (Czech Republic / USA) Everyone knows all kinds of stories take place at Obscene Extreme Festival but this one is really worth nothing!!! This Czech-American squad called FINAL FLAG was born right at our fest in 2014! A bunch of guys from the bands Exorcizphobia, Tortharry from CZ and Wehrmacht from the US met while drinking beer and started another great band full of joy from playing, proper thrash and punk feeling called FINAL FLAG!!! In spite of a big distance among the members, FINAL FLAG has finished a European tour, put out an album and a second one is just in the phase of recording!!! Pretty prolific musicians they are!!! If you like excellent crossover with the true 80’s feeling, you will be thrilled just like us to see FINAL FLAG on the boards of the OEF 2019!!! 16.35 - 17.00 INDIAN NIGHTMARE (Germany) Now we are going to introduce an international or better an intercontinental band in the true sense of the word to you!!! Five guys who settled in Berlin, Germany hailing from four countries Indonesia, Turkey, Italy and Mexico!!! These gentlemen have put together a band called INDIAN NIGHTMARE producing skilfully played and intense apocalyptic punk metal!!! They started playing together in 2014 and despite their quite short existence they were able to play over 100 gigs and festivals such as Finland’s Puntala Rock or Party San in Germany!!! INDIAN NIGHTMARE are well-known for their great and intensive shows which convinced us to invite them on the boards of the OEF 2019 where they will be a part of the PUNK AS FUCK Fest!!! They are taking their land back... INDIAN NIGHTMARE!!! 17.10 - 17.40 MAR DE RABIA (Venezuela) Yes, once again a band from Latin America!!! Well never get enough the pissed-off tones of the music the musicians from these regions know to produce so well!!! It’s no wonder as the guys from Venezuela’s band MAR DE RABIA live most of their lives under the state dictatorship which is something we still remember very well here in Czechia. MAR DE RABIA come from the town of Maracaibo, nicknamed “Satan’s kitchen”, and was formed in 2015 when two members of Venezuela’s legendary punk combo, Doňa Maldad, joined with two metalists creating a totally raging band in this era fulfilling the legacy of Orwell’s novels!!! MAR DE RABIA have two EP recordings full of pissed-off and furious punk metal under their belt so far transferring superbly their fury onto the stage. They will convince you about it 100% on the boards of Wednesday’s OEF PUNK AS FUCK FEST 2019!!! Venezuelan tsunami coming!!!
17.50 - 18.20 SCANDAL (Romania)
We can announce another great catch for the OEF’s PUNK AS FUCK FEST which are the rough street punk fighters from Romania, SCANDAL!!! The band shows us a bit different side of punk than we are used to at OEF. In their music, we can find both punk melodies and sing-along songs so typical for Oi music!!! SCANDAL have been around since 1998. Having released two albums the name SCANDAL goes up but the band split to reunite with three members of the original line-up after long 6 years. However, the reunion took place in London where they are located now!!! A new album “On a Roll” was released this year and SCANDAL also celebrated its 20th anniversary by a sold-out gig on home soil in Bucharest!!! The number of 400 visitors proves us right to await great punk rock and rock’n’roll show at the OEF!!!
18.30 - 19.00 N.V.Ú. (Czech Republic)
They were one of the first and they are still around!!! The Czech longstanding stars of punk ferocity will be given their honourable place in Wednesday’s PUNK AS FUCK Fest!!! Who else could it be than the East Bohemian bards of N.V.Ú. with their roots in 1986 when they originated from the punk band Adapter. Since then there has been a lot of water under the bridge, a lot of recordings recorded, loads of gigs played and a gazillion of booze drunk but N.V.Ú. have not changed. It is still a great and fierce pogo punk in the best tradition of the style pushing boundaries for decades and proclaiming human freedom!!! N.V.Ú. are big fans of the Obscene Extreme Festival and it was them who recommended the Battlefield as a great venue. That is why the OEF has become what it is also thanks to them!!! Not just because of this but mainly thanks to our big friendship we are glad to welcome them onto the OEF’s boards and to start a pogo dance to Tři Kříže (Three Crosses) for instance!!!
19.10 - 19.45 TELEX 2019 (Czech Republic) Novodur, Armavir, Telex. A brief evolution of the names of this cult local band. One of the first to produce an aggressive hardcore as for local standards in the late 80’s. Despite just a few recordings there cannot be a punk, a metalist or a hardcore guy not knowing their funny and simple lyrics (though still making sense). In 1984, under the name of Novodur, their gig was dispersed by SNB (state security service of that time) and their activity banned. In 1986 they returned as Armavir and their activity was banned again. A few months later they restarted their activity as TELEX this time. Their debut recording titled „Řeznickej krám“ („Butcher’s shop“) was released in 1989. Now in 2019, 30 years after the release of this iconic record, a special line-up with the members of the group Delikvence & TELEX’s singer Karel Bouša will play a special set containing the biggest hits of TELEX! Pogo!!!
19.55 - 20.35 FLEAS & LICE (Netherlands)
One saying goes “Old Punks Never Die” and we have to confirm in this case it does apply well and truly!!! OEF’s Punk as Fuck fest on Wednesday will be honoured to welcome another famous name of punkcrust subculture, Holland’s FLEAS AND LICE!!! Six buddies from Groningen, Holland got together as early as in 1993 and have been holding the line of raw punk crust havoc with the D.I.Y ethics to this day!!! We think there is no need for a long introduction as their legendary split recordings with Battle of Disarm, The Restarts or their album “Prepare for Armageddon” are well-known to all the punks struck by the wave of fleas and lice!!! It will be FLEAS AND LICE’s debut at OEF and we believe they will enjoy the famous mosh pit in Trutnov. The band with a crazy frontwoman Esther will grind you to dust in return! Get ready for armageddon!!!
20.45 - 21.30 WARHEAD (Japan)
Founded in Kyoto, Japan at the beginning of the ‘90s, WARHEAD stands as one of the most respected and active bands in the highly prolific Japanese Hardcore/ Punk infernal pit, their debut EP “Cry of Truth” and many other releases that followed are total classics in the genre, pure adrenalinic energy ripping through the anger-filled screaming vocals of their charismatic frontman Jun, neck-breaking velocity and high class riffs.
21.40 - 22.30 OI POLLOI (Scotland)
One of the last bands announced for the Wednesday’s OEF Punk as Fuck Fest is no less than the long-time warriors for a better life for everybody, a great punk squadron of OI POLLOI!!! Formed in 1981 at the time of deep Thatcherism and the start of the second wave of the English punk movement. In the beginning OI POLLOI played harsh oi punk to refine their music into a great anarcho punk mosh later. OI POLLOI are known for their uncompromising stance towards the ruling establishment and their motto “No Compromise in Defence of Our Earth” is well-known!!! Their extensive discography and awesome live gigs all over the world are a great invitation for a punk pogo in front of the OEF 2019 stage!!! The punk fight does not end!!!

What to say about 20 years OEF? Amazing like always... I had the luck to witness the festival grow bigger year by year and to play there many times. A festival which is very tolerant in many ways: friendly to all kind of people, friendly for the wallet, friendly for the environment. When at OEF, it’s always so great to hook up with old friends and make new friends. And to catch gigs of new bands from all over the world. Respect to Čurby -who never seems to loose his patience during stressful moments- and his crew!
22.40 - 23.40 GBH (United Kingdom) PUNK AS FUCK FEST headliner!!! Britain’s legends of the style called UK82!!! Nobody less than four aged punks calling themselves GBH!!! It’s going to be one of the oldest bands that has ever played at OEF since their origins date back to 1978 when many of you were not even born. They started under the name Charged GBH to shorten it after a few years to clear and striking GBH - grievous bodily harm – the original bass player Sean McCarthy was charged with. Since their inception, GBH have been playing concerts heavily all over the world having released a lot of recordings most of which deserve to be called “legendary”. 10.00 - 10.20 ČLOVĚK V PLÍSNI (Czech Republic)
The Czech grindcore scene has always been great and we have another proof that it is still true!!! The local grinders from Trutnov called ČLOVĚK V PLÍSNI playing crushing mix of grindcore, hardcore and metal will be driving their devastating tones through your head!!! The guys were formed in 2015 directly at the Trutnov railway station and in the adjoining pubs under the name Silentpie & The Plezírs at that time, so it is a relatively young band. Although the original intention of the band was different, following some changes in the line-up, a grinding ČLOVĚK V PLÍSNI was born and they fucking know, how to play!!! So far a single EP under their belt only with another one planned for this year. Short, fast and loud... this is ČLOVĚK V PLÍSNI!!!
10.30 - 10.50 BURST (New Caledonia) Even though we can think almost everything has been invented and played as for grindcore, there is always someone able to convince us of the contrary. A young band from the other side of the world, from New Caledonia, BURST is the living proof!!! We’ve been watching the boys for some time and following their invitation to Australia’s OEF edition in 2014 it’s time to invite these tropical freaks to Europe!!! BURST have existed since 2013 and, in a country where there is virtually no metal or any other extreme music styles, they are together with Analkoholic, who they share some similarities with, alone in their grindcore struggle!!! The sound of their grind is fresh and new but still fucking crushing and mature!!! Their EP “You Must Die” be the proof!!! A bombshell from Big Land (Grande Terre) at the OEF 2019!!!
MARTIN - ASPHYX
What first comes to mind when I hear Obscene Extreme is: Chaos! But in a positive way, it’s where chaos shows how wonderful it can be. One has the feeling the outside world is far away and you can do whatever you want without anyone bothering you telling you how to act or what to do. Once there, you’re free. Or at least; feel how it feels like to be free. Yes I know, the menu is vegan or veggie and we in Asphyx are not. But that’s not the essence here. I may be playing in a metal band, but I come from an era where there was only a thin line between punk and metal. I grew up as much with Possessed, Hellhammer, Venom or Motörhead as I did with Discharge, Electro Hippies, Ripcord or Negative Gain. And there you have Obscene Extreme. I feel like I was a boy again. Between Punks and Bangers. I always return back home. Čurby knows that. And then I want to have a good time and I bloody do have it. To be invited for the 20th was an honour. And ok, I know Čurby was only paying attention on his knees to his personal gods of Napalm Death, painting their backstage with their lyrics until Barney got shy and almost embarrassed. And leaving us almost forgotten, of which we don’t care as we had our free beers and a good time haha! But we did an awesome show once more. Finally with a bit more than 10 minutes of change-over time (no Čurby, we did not act like rock stars. And the crowd went insane! Which is another aspect of OEF. Everyone can come on stage and dive, slam, mosh, pogo. And they do and do it the right way. And I cherish them all for that. As an old school band, you get drawn back to the old days at OEF. And if you can’t take it that way, then get the fuck out of there! I rest my case.
11.00 - 11.25 CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR
(United Kingdom) Rough and uncompromising, like soccer at Anfield, is the music of the guys coming from the city of Beatles, from Liverpool, CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR!!! The band around John Cook, well-known as a session member of the bands like Napalm Death, Malevolent Creation or Venomous Concept, will play for us at the OEF’s boards for the second time!!! Totally extreme grind core assault with occasional sludge or psycho passages which even Voivod in their days of glory would not have to feel ashamed for!!! CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR joined forces in 2012 and released several recordings in less than no time with the latest one from 2017 titled “Eunoia” being a skull-crushing recording!!! Britcore in the best form!!! Welcome CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR!!!
11.35 - 12.00 NERVE GRIND (USA) This is called a true moshing old school grind! No frills whatsoever but a total ride from the first second to the last riff. Accumulation of noise! Founded in 2012 in sunny California NERVE GRIND have several 7-inch and split 7-inch records under their belt (one with a domestic legend of the same kind Needful Things). Ladies and gentlemen, if you are into a pure grindcore, NERVE GRIND will be right thing for you.
12.10 - 12.35 SUFFERING QUOTA (Netherlands)
This relatively small country produces a variety of grind/ fastcore/crust/death acts to a quite large extent. We assume you can for sure name more than three squads hailing from the Netherlands in a wink. That is why you are not going to be surprised that SUFFERING QUOTA will also perform at the upcoming Obscene Extreme Festival in 2019. A very interesting pack producing an uncompromising, fast, aggressive grind with a bit of crust. The members of the band went through the acts such as The Last Mile, Grinding Halt, Entrapment or Fleas and Lice. Also, not many bands can recently boast about the artwork for their releases to be taken care of by Marald himself. It means July, Trutnov, we are making a note in the calendar!!!
12.45 - 13.10 PODRIDO (Mexico)
This is a potion only for the hardened!!! Mixing noisy punk with a good dose of crust, grindcore and powerviolence we get this killer trio from Pachuca, Mexico called PODRIDO!!! This will take you back to the 80’s when extreme music was in the lowermost floors of the musical underground. PODRIDO, still under the original name “Deprabastars”, has not been skimping on hatred of the corrupt world since 2007. Since 2010, already under the name PODRIDO with Fernando, Pancho and Diego in the line-up, they have recorded most of PODRIDO’s material. They also played, among others, at the OEF America in Mexico in 2013. Here more words is just a waste of time... it’s time for hatred!!! PODRIDO!!!
13.20 - 13.45 CARTILAGE (USA)
In the spirit and the footsteps of gore/metal classics like Exhumed or General Surgery, this band was created a while ago so as to spread this blood-soaked genre in the best way. KEIJO - ROTTEN SOUND
Extreme music, fun, chaos, party, tons of friends, great atmosphere and lots of memories. Probably 7th time for me to be at the festival, around 20 days and nights in total so far. I saw a lot of shows this time and found a few new bands as always at OEF. In year 2000 we drove total 4000km from Vaasa, Finland to play at OEF II and to party through the entire festival. Our van was built without proper ventilation at the back and since it was an ancient Volkswagen Transporter, the engine was in the back and ended-up using quite a lot of oxygen, which made everyone sitting in the back to sleep a lot while one of us was driving. Extreme time travel took us safely to and from Trutnov and we would definitely do the trip again, if we had also a time machine.
13.55 - 14.20 FECAL ADDICTION (Costa Rica) From distant, exotic, Central American Costa Rica, fecal lava is dashing in ready to taint all that comes its way with a brown cloud!!! These fellows hailing from the land of volcanos are prepared to erupt into your body cavities with the help of glowing gore grind with a burnt taste of slam and believe us their craters are full to the edge. Their first visit to OEF, and the first visit to Europe in general, has been sealed. 14.30 - 14.55 THE PUBLIC (Slovakia)
One of the few bands from our eastern neighbours that has never played at OEF!!! Hardcore inferno from Kysuce, THE PUBLIC!!! Rousing music by great musicians, with no less than great lyrics, has been attacking us since 1995 when the trio consisting of Ozón, Horák and Giňo formed THE PUBLIC. Their “organized chaos” is recorded in the grooves of several albums, various EPs and cassettes as it is the case for every proper DIY hardcore band!!! To date, THE PUBLIC play in the same line-up. Only now and then, there is someone coming and going. It is the same as for gigging because once it’s too much and the second time too little, but THE PUBLIC are considered a great live band with incredible energy poised to kick your butt!!! We are pleased to welcome them on the OEF’s boards and hope their new album, which should be released in 2019, to be out before the OEF 2019!!! Let THE PUBLIC speak the speech of their hardcore fists!!!
15.05 - 15.30 ADACTA (Slovakia)
Another act for the OEF, the true harbingers of evil and suffering, creeping out from the dark panels of Bratislava’s ghettos, ADACTA from Slovakia!!! In 2000 high school friends bored with simple and insufficiently aggressive punk rock met and grabbed the instruments to create the band ADACTA!!! A mix of the Swedish crust school with the intensity of British old school death metal is what they are at home in and we can just wonder how good they are! The guys have gone through a number of line-up changes, toured Russia or Brazil apart from Europe for example and released four albums to date with a split album with Brazil’s legend Skarnio and Russia’s Antimelodix that is about to be put out soon! We can be sure the guys to play some tunes from these vinyls in the pantheon of the OEF 2019!!! AMEN!!!
15.40 - 16.10 STILLBIRTH (Germany)
This is the last warning before a huge tsunami that is heading directly to Trutnov’s Battlefield!!! Grab your surfboard, put on your best swimsuit and get ready, STILLBIRTH will teach you how to swim in such a storm. With their mix of brutal death and grind with a proper slam flavour these fellows know how to surf the biggest waves! With a broad smile, a joint in the corner of mouth, a beer in the hand and the most beautiful beach hottie alongside, STILLBIRTH will show you the true meaning of the word – PARTY. Believe us... you will wish for this party to never end!!!
16.20 - 16.50 NOISEM (USA)
This will be the dark horse of the upcoming Obscene Extreme Festival in 2019! Location: Baltimore, Maryland. The American death/thrash band NOISEM, which many of you may know from their excellent two albums “Agony Defined” and “Blossoming Decay” both of which were released at A389 Recordings, will fucking kick it in Trutnov with their brutally fast but very technical production! Modern smash which is yet influenced by older formations such as Terrorizer, Repulsion, Carcass or Dropdead. Total moshpit explosion guaranteed!!!
17.00 - 17.35 CRYPTIC VOID (USA)
Classifications, classifications. You can add the US band CRYPTIC VOID to the style called grind/thrash. Despite all the people who like classifying music we have to say that this is an ultra mega fast, great grind to cause your ears to bleed. No surprise as the band was formed by ex-members of such bands like Insect Warfare, P.L.F., War Master or Dissent. Grind, death and crust roots are damn solid and if you add up fervour and enthusiasm... you have something to look forward to at the Obscene Extreme Festival in 2019!!!
17.45 - 18.20 MILKING THE GOATMACHINE
(Germany) Lethal death-grind tones churn out of their instruments, massive, fast and uncompromising. This killer squad of goats from a different dimension knows exactly how to pierce your body cavities in a way that makes you so comfortable.They are definitely no household pets. This is a message from another galaxy where the goat is the lord of creation and says – we are coming to subdue all mortals with the help of the hardest music and OEF is another cross on our map!!! And you will be glad to subjugate as it just cannot be withstood!!!
18.30 - 19.10 FINAL EXIT (Japan) FINAL EXIT, a great representative of noise core scene from the land of the rising sun!!! Established as early as in 1994, these veterans started more as a grind formation to transform over time into a very noisy and entertaining duo consisting of Ryohei on drums and Hisao on guitar and microphone. Certainly we all have a vivid memory of their performance at the OEF 2014 when we were totally smashed by their brilliant set full of hundreds of microsongs or a mad froggy style of the drummer Ryohei!!! And we’ll get this again with a straight punch right to the head!!! For all the noise core fans FINAL EXIT is a clear choice!!! One of the best bands of this style!!! You need to hear more???
19.20 - 20.00 FORWARD (Japan) Members of legendary Japanese Hardcore acts such as Insane Youth, Rustler and above all Death Side joined forces back in the mid ‘90s to keep the Burning Spirits flag alive and strong with their assaulting HC/Punk reincarnation called FORWARD. If you enjoyed the incendiary show that the mighty Death Side delivered at OEF in 2016, get ready to be squashed to the ground again by this ominous force, once again led by the charismatic frontman Ishiya and his vitriolic voice. Introducing their new killer album “Future troops”, welcome the pummelling energy of Tokyo’s Hardcore dragons FORWARD at the Obscene Extreme!!! 20.10 - 21.00 MISERY INDEX (USA) Back in 2001, something wicked happened in Baltimore, Maryland, US. A studio project named MISERY INDEX after the second and last album of disbanded Florida grinders Assück recorded an EP „Overthrow“. That started a 17-yr long journey resulting in five studio albums, several EPs and more than 1000 concerts in 44 countries. A fusion of blasting furious death metal and social lyrics uncovering illnesses of today’s society immediately drew attention of both death metal and hard core/punk scenes. Their recordings are grinding madness in its purest form and live shows a total apocalypse. The author of these sentences was squashed down between two circle pits swirling one next to the other at one of their recent festival shows. So, what happened in Baltimore back in 2001? A project of exceptional musicians got out of control to decimate the worldwide scene. The only original member Jason Netherton who survived the massive touring schedules has been gradually re-building this crushing commando with Mark, Adam and Darrin still pushing the limits of extremity until today. After eight years back at the OEF, the band will blow the festival site away with their new material from the upcoming sixth studio album due in 2019. Well, whoever thought they wouldn’t see them any more or they had just missed them by ill luck, they were dead wrong! The kings of fast hardcore are back once again! DROPDEAD for the second time at the Obscene Extreme Festival! A couple more years and this combo will be celebrating their 30th anniversary. A band that was first influenced by groups such as Infest, Anti-Cimex, Siege, Discharge, Septic Death, Confuse or Gauze has itself been influencing dozens of related groups since two decades. Since their quasi-reincarnation after 2000, they have released another series of interesting recordings, mostly splits with bands such as Ruidos Inmundicia, Systematic Death, Unholy Grave or Brainoil. So an unbelievable mosh and a massacre in front of the stage at the OEF 2019!!!
22.30 - 23.30 CANNIBAL CORPSE (USA)
30 years ago, the biggest death metal legend was born. Originally founded in Buffalo, New York, back in 1988, CANNIBAL CORPSE shocked the world with horrifying lyrics and album cover arts combined with breathtakingly good musicianship. They have released 14 studio albums, two live albums, four video albums and two box sets, which made them top-selling death metal act of all times. Becoming professional musicians already back in 1991 when writing their third album “Tomb of the Mutilated”, the band captured its audience by heavy, catchy and technical skills. Their horror movies and serial killers inspired death metal was shocking and offensive to many. Despite the fact that their line-up went through several changes with only their bass player Alex Webster and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz remaining from the original members, the band has never compromised it’s splatter artwork and gut-wrenching death metal. Their music has never been stained by slow-downs or mid-tempo experiments. When the death metal scene stumbled in mid 90s, CANNIBAL CORPSE released great records, toured frantically, shredded and hammered its audience. Their live performance always killed. So, 20 years after the Obscene Extreme festival was born, it is time to bring the most original US death metal act to the battlefield of Trutnov. They will smash, pulverize, and pound to dust. A true legend of the world’s hardcore scene. This band is one of the few to be written about and claimed as the forerunners of noisy and fast punk music. The band’s first ephemeral existence dates back to 1981-1984. Despite this very short period of time, they have created the world’s major hardcore recordings. Negativistic and aggressive short songs that have influenced not only the punk scene. At OEF we will have the honour to see them for the second time since their rebirth dating back to 2006. In 2013 it was an ingenious tornado full of energy and fury! Therefore we can expect no less powerful and high-quality performance in 2019. NEGATIVE APPROACH!!!

I think when we played in OEF for the first time we never thought it would become a part of the history of Grind... or maybe the festival concept encloses the Grind spirit itself. We were so proud to play at the 20th anniversary. It was like watching a child grow up. We were blessed to witness that again. Many of my best friends in the scene were there. It seems I made the festival booking by myself! Hahaha... All we have lot of great stories at the (un)holy OEF ground. But surely many old fans would remember the first time we played there. There was a big storm all over Czech Republic. All festivals were cancelled. But Čurby and his crew lowered the stage roof and modified the stage. Making it safe enough to perform. That proved this fest was manager by a exceptional human team. Thats the secret for all!
11.00 - 11.25 LITTLE PUPPY PRINCESS (Korea) South Korea’s grind core returning a blow! LITTLE PUPPY PRINCESS (what a badass name for a band!) started playing just because the Korean UG scene was lacking a very fast and brutal band. And the truth is they did it! Total grind core/power violence explosion, an uncompromising ride. This is going to be a bombshell at the Obscene Extreme Festival! Dark horse of the 2019 volume! 12.45 - 13.10 INSANITY ALERT (Austria) Thrash metal has been experiencing its renaissance for several years now and new bands are constantly emerging. To make themselves known to broad public and not to fall into oblivion, they must be interesting, wild and also crazy enough. A lot of them have neither of these attributes but watch out as Austria’s thrash pack INSANITY ALERT which is going to hit the Battlefield has all the three aforementioned ingredients perfectly balanced. This will be a pretty wild mosh pit!!! The band was formed under the Austrian Alps which means that hammering rampant thrash away like a runaway avalanche that sweeps away everything coming its way is in their blood. HOLY CO$T is the major representative of the Canadian scene in a style that is very popular at OEF which is porn gore grind. The band has undergone a lot of changes since its inception in 2008 and consists currently of three deviants, B-Nun, Morbo Ramirez and Targuet F who do know their craft. Porn gore grind in the best tradition of such squads like CBT is what the masters serve you in their albums or countless split recordings!!! HOLY CO$T played at the OEF America in 2015 and slashed the audience to shreds!!! Now they are after you right in the cradle of OEF, in Trutnov! TUPA TUPA OINK OINK CUI CUI CARNAGE...
13.55 - 14.20 CATASTROFY (Slovakia) Thrash metal has always been a part of the OEF and it will not be different in 2019!!! Since 2005 there has been a band at our Slovak neighbours playing an incredibly pissed off thrash metal. Yes, speaking of CATASTROPHY!!! The music is hard like the stones falling from the Devin castle with Slovak lyrics full of furiousness but also great humour!!! CATASTROPHY have gone a long way since their formation and after a few changes they have stabilized to be five mates who record one recording after another and especially this year’s full-length album “Besnota” is really worth it! Mexican bands have inherently been part of the OEF since the beginning of our festival. The Mexican scene is full of excellent, especially gore grind bands. It is no difference in this case. P. have already performed at OEF America exciting many fans with their noisy gore grind in the old school vein. Now returning again after few years more putrid than ever, so you can look forward to this uncompromising Mexican ride. By the way, try to pronounce their name by heart :)
15.05 - 15.30 IMPLORE (Germany)
This grind/hardcore burst from Germany has gone through a fucking noticeable evolution since its formation in 2013. One may say the longer they are around playing, the better they are. They age like good wine. It’s not at all that their first recordings were bad, but if you listen to their latest album called “Subjugate”, you will have to admit that IMPLORE are in great shape! We assume that they will kick your ass in a proper way during their second visit of the Obscene Extreme Festival in 2019!!!
15.40 - 16.05 ACTIVE MINDS (United Kingdom) A veteran band from England that has been around in the DIY hardcore/punk scene for more than 30 years. The band is formed only by a fraternal duo. Even despite this stripped-down line-up, so to say, they can make anyone, who likes fast and punchy hardcore/punk with social-critical lyrics, pogo. Since 1986, ACTIVE MINDS discography contains both an array of 7-inch splits (e.g. with Yacopsae, Los Rezios, Urko, etc.) and well-received albums. The band’s plan for 2019 is a new 10-inch record. Therefore, it is almost certain it will be ready for the Obscene Extreme Festival 2019!!! 16.15 - 16.45 SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION
(France) Having raped all the angels in hell (as their latest record suggests) these French gentlemen return back to the boards of the Battlefield in Trutnov to do the same to us with the help of their destroying grindcore that they have been improving since 1996 decomposing already rotting bodies all over the world regularly! France produces grindcore gems from the very beginning of this genre and SCD is definitely one of them. This will hurt but it will be hurting beautifully :).
16.55 - 17.30 MR. MARCAILLE (France) Sitting on a chair, surrounded by a heap of amps, speakers, massacring us with beastly grindcore art!!! This one-man madness called MR MARCAILLE will be there at the boards of the OEF 2019 for you to see it first-hand!!! Grinding violoncellist with two drum pedals, MR MARCAILLE, masterly blends the elements of classical music with a total extreme of deep and true underground!!! An extreme which is authentic, pure, sweaty, naked to the bone!!! This one-man project coming from North of France has been around for about 10 years and after having played in all the corners of this dirty world we are glad to invite him to the OEF 2019 to show us where boundaries of the musical extreme can be pushed!!! MR MARCAILLE is a pure grinding filth and the life in it!!!
17.40 - 18.15 ANTI-SYSTEM (United Kingdom) Like every volume of the fest also the upcoming Obscene Extreme Festival 2019 will not do without, or rather, mustn`t do without a quality crust or punk band. If it is moreover a legend of the genre, the more we are looking forward to it. Following the classics like Discharge and Varukers now it is the turn for further great “old school” squads. Anarcho punk from Bradford ANTI-SYSTEM is one of them. The band started in 1981 and sometime around 1986 they called it a day shortly after its two members were imprisoned for protests and taking part in direct actions to support animal rights (which at that time was quite common ...). They are again active since 2014 and in 2017 they recorded a very good record titled “What Price is Freedom?”. 18.25 - 19.00 VISCERA INFEST (Japan) In 2019 again, as it is the case almost every year, we will have the representatives of the crazy Japanese scene at the OEF. This time our invitation went to the city of Oita in the south of Japan where three samurai calling themselves VISCERA INFEST will attack us from!!! The guys started in 1998 producing brutal pathological grind right from the beginning. It is characterized by a superluminal speed of the drummer Yuyi whose videos from the rehearsals of VISCERA INFEST do overwhelm you with wonder. The trio has two albums, several other recordings and of course many gigs in Asia, America or Mexico under their belt. This year, they will tour Europe and the OEF 2019 will be one of the few of their European stops to dissect you totally!!! We believe that you will prepare a great OEF moshpit these samurai will never forget and where we will do the dance these masters invented!!! 19.10 - 19.55 ROT (Brazil) This band deserves its iconic or legendary status without further discussions! A number of you know this squad and a lot of you got to know and discovered the style called grind core through this band. The Brazilian veterans, ROT! Without thinking too much we can compare the band’s status to Agathocles for example. The band which was formed as early as in 1990 has gone through a very colourful history as for both activity and recordings. One could say that it is active in kind of periods from being hyperactive for some time to going into a coma afterwards. We’re lucky right now ROT has been brought to life again and their latest active phase is going great and that’s why all the orthodox grind core maniacs will be so lucky as to see this Brazilian legend live at the OEF in 2019! Old school grind core massacre!!! ADDE - BIRDFLESH / GENERAL SURGERY When I hear Obscene Extreme I think of love and passion for extreme music, friends and endless party! The 20th anniversary was just total blast! But like every year, party with friends from all around the world. I don’t want to talk about my anal misery from 2004 so my story would be that everytime I go to OEF, I have the time of my life. Even though I’m dead after the fest!
MURRAY “THE CRETIN” - DAYGLO ABORTIONS
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Obscene Extreme 2018. We felt very welcome there and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to play. We went on right after Exhumed and Suffocation, two of the best grind bands around. Watching bands like that is a huge inspiration and it makes us play all the harder. The crowd was killer, I’ve always loved the stage divers, and it really blows my mind when the audience starts singing our songs. There are people these days in the punk scene that want everything to be tame and politically correct, but we are not a band that caters to that type of thought and because of that we are not welcomed in some venues. Everyone at Obscene Extreme treated us good. We met lots of people that have been into our band for years but had never seen us play and it was a privilege to play for them under such perfect conditions. It was without a doubt the best show of our summer european tour and one of the best shows I have ever played. It is a very special thing that I think the rest of the world could learn something from. There was every type of person imaginable there and all kinds of partying going on, but everyone was happy and treating each other with respect and getting along. Those seem to be the hardest three things for the people of the “straight world” to do. They are never happy, have respect for nothing, and can’t get along with anyone. That’s what Obscene Extreme means to me, insanely heavy bands playing for an insanely crazy crowd of stage diving freaks .
20.05 - 20.50 PSYCROPTIC (Australia)
Do you like to watch fingers slipping over the fretboard? Australia’s PSYCROPTIC brings a whole bunch of technical riffs loaded with melodics. The guys have been around in the scene for 20 years and since the very beginning they set the bar pretty high. You could see them with Zdeněk of Godless Truth behind the microphone. PSYCROPTIC comes to present their new album “As the Kingdom Drowns” first of all which is considered one of their top albums and the production of Haley brothers will prove it to you. We will offer you a cultural experience infected with a huge portion of energy!!!
21.05 - 22.00 LOWLIFE (USA)
2019’s reincarnation of the legendary Crossover beast known as CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER is ready to drop the bomb at OEF! Scotty, Les and other well-known heroes of the 80s Californian speed-core scene join forces under the name LOWLIFE to deliver all the amazing hits from C.S. albums like “Convicted” and “Money Talks”... some of the most influential and energetic masterpieces ever conceived in the history of Hardcore blended with old school Thrash savagery! It’s all there.. outrageously fast drumming, catchy riffs and raging screaming vocals to lead you in a teeth-crushing cyclone of merciless mosh. 22.15 - 23.15 REPULSION (USA)
Just keep repeating yourself: IT HAD TO HAPPEN! After seeing all the Grindcore masters one can think of (Napalm Death, Insect Warfare, Nasum, Terrorizer, S.O.B. and many more) there was still one wet dream in every OEF maniac’s heart, and believe it or not, it took us more than 10 years of struggles and stubborness to make it come true. You know what we’re talking about? Fuckin’ REPULSION at Obscene Extreme!!! No bullshit, it’s all real! Metal punks from South Germany, well-known to us as ACCION MUTANTE, are another band for the OEF 2019!!! Their music reminds us of the best years of britcore with the legends of the style such as Doom, Extreme Noise Terror or Extinction of Mankind ACCION MUTANTE recall with their furiousness!!! These Germans arose from the crust filth and loathing in 1994 and this year it will be for the third time, after a partial hibernation and a regeneration of the band, they will again play on the OEF’s boards!!! Get ready for a tremendous pressure. These guys will kick the brain out of our heads and blood will flow out of our ears!!! Prague’s band INSISTENT has emerged as a pleasant new surprise on the local grind core scene. Heavyweight grind core shredding in the vein of Nasum, Rotten Sound, Assück or Napalm Death. A split CD with South Bohemia’s But under their belt and a bright future that is sure to be started by their live performance at the OEF 2019 ahead of them!!!
02.35 - 03.00 URTIKARIA ANAL (Mexico) These Mexican simpaticos feel at home in Europe. And also at our place at the Battlefield. It started with their disco enthralling the whole audience in 2009, continued again in 2015 and their next dance stop will be at the upcoming volume. The gentlemen are again going to prepare their pleasant dance music in the vein of all the gore grind classics for us to dance away the whole Trutnov including the shop assistants at the petrol stations and all the forest animals running free under the Snežka mountain. 08.30 - 09.50 ČURBY - THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF OBSCENE EXTREME MOVIE 10.00 - 10.20 TANTALUM (USA) Houston, Texas. A city dedicated to high-quality underground production. One of the proofs to be a relatively young grind pack called TANTALUM which will be travelling in a van through the European landscape right at the time of the upcoming Obscene Extreme Festival together with Cryptic Void, their fellowcountrymen from the same city and the same cloth. Their debut recording titled “Survival” is one hell of a promise for the future. 10.30 - 10.50 NADIMAC (Serbia)
A great piece of news for all the fans of harsh old school thrash metal!!! Thrash maniacs from front line city Belgrade, NADIMAC!!! This quartet began its journey in 2003 playing mostly German thrash hits to visit the local stages after two years and record some demo recordings. Following several other recordings and line-up changes NADIMAC also got onto stages outside of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia and played joint events with Sodom, Tankard, Onslaught or Napalm Death in Europe among others. Their latest album “Besnilo” released under Dave Rotten, the bard of the underground scene, and his Xtreem Music is a shot right between the eyes!!! Underground thrash assault on the OEF!!! This is NADIMAC!!!
11.00 - 11.25 DARK HORSE (Australia) Australia’s d-beat hardcore band DARK HORSE is kind of a synonym of the world’s Obscene Extreme fan. Not only did they emerge in Trutnov’s venue Na Bojišti (2014) but this squad also participated in the Asian OEF (2013) and, of course, in the Australian version (2015). The uncompromising d-beat/hardcore blast with a pinch of metal is going to or has already appealed to many maniacs. Their latest studio album titled “Bomb Thrower” has received positive reactions and DARK HORSE are ready once again to chop you to pieces at the OEF 2019!!! 11.35 - 12.00 CRUEL FACE (Brazil) Who wouldn’t know the Brazilian veterans Rot? But do you also know the side projects of the individual members? No? Then be informed that a slashing crust/ grind assault named CRUEL FACE is one of them. The project which was created as early as in 1996 to disband after recording and releasing several great releases in 2000 has announced a comeback in 2012. Filthy and harsh ride as only the South American horde can deliver! A new line-up, new songs and even more aggression at the Obscene Extreme Festival 2019!!! 12.10 - 12.35 INVIDIOSUS (USA)
These grinders from Minnesota produce grinding death metal offering something to all ages. They carry forward their mission in a playful way straight into the veins. They can both warm you up with their old school melodics and kick your ass with powerful modern bombshell grind at the same time. Truly-played frenzy that cannot disappoint!!!
12.45 - 13.10 V.A.R. (Czech republic) The Czech Republic and the year 1989. The time of big changes and the creation of a thrash metal alcoholic squad that has been named after an “at-that-timegood-they-say” beer, Vratislavický Alkoholický Rachot - V.A.R!!! Influenced by the rust-coloured brew the first demos and mainly two furious songs for the Ultrametal sampler are created which gets the band on the Czech metal map securing a contract for the first full-length album titled “Personal Destruction” which is released by Monitor label in 1992. Following 20 thousand sold copies of this album and due to fading fame of thrash metal in the mid 90’s, V.A.R. are sacked by Monitor and they retreat in the metal underground where they are still active!!! The band has gone through ups and downs, surviving the death of one of the founding members but it keeps recording and gigging. We do like to welcome these underground workmen on the OEF’s boards where V.A.R. will play their fastest and the most frantic tracks they have ever written!!! It will really be a brutal alcoholic chaos!!! We have something to look forward to!!!
13.20 - 13.45 CENOTAPH (Turkey)
An ordinary mortal is going to imagine a holiday paradise under the term Turkey while a bloodthirsty beast named CENOTAPH will immediatelly come into every blockhead’s mind. Batu and his team have 7 deadly, perverse, brutal, technical and unpredictable releases under their belt worshipped by BDM hordes of enthusiasts. The lucky ones have had the honour to see them 2x in CZ and like countless other bands CENOTAPH too have been hoping for years to infect the boards of OEF. This musical onslaught is going to celebrate its sweet 25th anniversary this summer which is a great opportunity to meet in the moshpit and party!!! 13.55 - 14.20 CLITGORE (Romania) These Romanian vampires will suck all of your blood from your bodies without using their teeth and biting your throat. This Transylvania’s squad sucks from a totally different body parts (the name of the band says it all) using hard guitar riffs instead of their fangs, machine-gun drumming and vocals from the innermost part of the body pumping their uncompromising gore grind into your mortal remains during this ritual! Returning to the crime scene, gentlemen and a lady from Dracula’s province... CLITGORE!!!
14.30 - 14.55 HOW LONG? (Czech Republic)
Another band for the boards of OEF 2019 is an international Czech/Polish squad HOW LONG?!!! Created as early as in 1994 they will deliver an energetic and dirty crust core and d-beat making us to mosh and stage dive heavily!!! HOW LONG? is one of the longlasting acts in the Czech scene with many gigs under their belt. Despite a rather long break splitting in 2001, the boys reunited back in 2008 and have since recorded and released very successful recordings such as a split album with Kulma and other recordings. HOW LONG? in a six-member line-up with two singers remind us of crust style pioneers such as Disrupt or Extreme Noise Terror. We are pleased to bring you the true Silesian crust hell to the OEF for the first time!!!

OEF has been one of the absolute greatest experiences that we have had in our history, ever! Particularly our first appearance in 2004 was totally mind blowing since we did not know what expect from the crowd when we started our show sometime after midnight. The enthusiastic welcome, and all the action in the audience, even at this point late at night, was a just amazing and a real surprise. Therefore, it was a great pleasure and honor, when Čurby asked us to be part of the 20th anniversary fest and to show up at OEF for the 4th time. So thanx big time to Čurby, the entire OEF crew and the amazing audience for having us and all the best for many more years of OEF to come!!!!
15.05 - 15.30 PURULENT SPERMCANAL
(Czech Republic) Low-tuned guitars, bubbling singing and neurotic drums. These are the features of Ostrava’s musical mess called PURULENT SPERMCANAL!!! A band that started as a side project of the members of black metal band Enochian in 1995 has become a full-time band over the years. Rehearsing in an old barn the first songs are cover versions of IMPETIGO which PURULENT SPERMCANAL is being compared to in the beginning. Having changed several singers and released four full-length albums the band paused in 2003 to create a project called Have The Munchies which however has nothing to do with grind music. One word led to another and the old buddies revived PURULENT SPERMCANAL after many years in 2017. In February 2018 they produced a new promo recording in a partly new line-up winding up as a split with France’s Pulmonary Fibrosis!!!

Nothing that my parents would like to hear! Ha ha! I think of a mix between crazy sex assault and an ocean of freaky people jumping on each other with Hell of a savage music played very loud! I had such a great time both as a fan of extreme music and as metal vocalist! I spend 3 days at OEF and we were only playing on Saturday so I had plenty of time to enjoy the festival and all the crazy bands! Party was hard every night and day with my bros from Gutalax, Suffocation, Inhumate, Asphyx, Rectal Smegma… I can’t even remember everything! Ha ha! I remember very well being on stage with Gutalax to perform a song wearing their beautiful costume, it was unforgettable! I remember also all these amazing crazy disguised metalheads everywhere around, it was hilarious! Every time I see some posted picture from OEF last year, I smile like an idiot! The atmosphere at OEF is just unique and last edition was for me the best one with the sickest line-up ever (Wormrot destroyed everything!!) and so many friends to enjoy it with! Our show on saturday is also a great memory indeed, totally insane from the first notes to the last snare hit! The crowd made an extraordinary show as well, I think I was constantly smiling on stage during our set! It was a great anniversary for OEF!! There is no other festival in the world you can compare OEF with! Thank you again for inviting us to this freaky blasting party! That was the third time we played, and I will never forget the first one, maybe 10 years ago! Let me tell you this story! We had some show in France the day before and we left right after the show because the timing was tight (13 hours drive). I think we arrived 20 minutes before playing, it was very sunny and we were kind of exhausted. When we entered the festival, our first thoughts were: “Where the fuck are we? Who are all these disguised people? Ha ha!” We came on stage, the sun immediately disappeared and it started raining like Hell! The crowd started to disappear, trying to find some safe and “dry” place… And at the second we stopped playing, the rain stopped and the sun came back! It was hard not to take it personal! Ha ha ha! The second time was in 2012 and it was killer but the best one is definitely the one last year for 20 years of OEF!!! Unforgettable!
BARNEY - NAPALM DEATH
Erm, that it’s going to be Obscene and Extreme ha ha. Not in the sense of some twee consumerist crap, but I think OEF has become the ‘brand’ now for getting up close to Extreme Music worldwide. Čurby takes chances where others don’t - I like his sense of adventure, his aversion to shitty sponsors and the fact that I can see Mob fucking 47 at a festival with weight. Vegan food everywhere...people being kind to each other...no overbearing security...it’s my kind of paradise. Well, as ever it was a very easy time. Every year is kind of a celebration there, so in the midst of it I forgot it was actually kind of a birthday event. For us, it was the usual show at OEF - more people occupying the stage than even most small club gigs. Really nice experience. On the downside, I did not see Rattus - boo! Nothing too controversial or explosive. I did get to see Wolf Hour. I don’t really have any idols in this world...but I did get to hang around a little bit with their drummer, my mate Charlie, who of course brought the mayhem on the classic Anti Cimex stuff - and is a great human being. I also ate incredible vegan ice cream which Čurby recommended. More of a question than a story: how can somebody like Čurby eat every vegan dish being served on the festival site - he literally ate the whole day - and stay as skinny as a boot lace? Lucky fucker.
15.40 - 16.05 BÜTCHER (Belgium) Yes, the previous volumes of OEF have already brought us great old school speed metal bands. We think speed metal does belong to extreme music, thus we will deliver another great act to you!!! From Belgium, the land of pralines and beer, here there are the performers of electric executions, BÜTCHER!!! Formed in 2002 to split in 2007 they have reunited after many years because once you try out playing metal your heart will no longer play anything but a metallic song. However, do not expect some boring and soft speed but a proper thrash in the best tradition of old school bands like Slayer, Hellhammer or Agent Steel!!! The best proof to be their great album “Bestial Fukkin’ Warmachine” and plenty of intense gigs on the continent that secured BÜTCHER a contract with the mighty Osmose Production!!! Let’s welcome these metal warriors with a powerful moshpit at the Battlefield only us can do! 16.15 - 16.45 GUTSLIT (India) These four murderous gentlemen from Mumbai, India, are going to show up here after long five years. They like technical extreme, in the vein of the classics such as Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse or Dying Fetus, with a distinct flavour of grindcore and a dash of bad-smelling slam. They keep gigging around the world, regularly releasing ever better recordings and their desire to play this twisted genre is still endless!!! Thanks to this fact they are considered one of the top bands in the genre and you will see and hear for yourselves why this is so!!!
16.55 - 17.30 DERANGED (Sweden) These Swedish killers have been rolling their high-quality portion of death metal since 1991. Do not expect, however, DM in the vein of bands like Dismember, Grave, or Entombed so typical for Sweden. These gentlemen enjoy playing another style characterised by the deepmost brutality, speed and gutturals. A sick sound of guitars, a bloodily throbbing throat and a traditional proper portion of the extreme. The extreme which is so pleasing to us and in the form we like so much. DERANGED, the killers from the North are back again!!! 17.40 - 18.15 DISAVOWED (Netherlands)
DISAVOWED was spawned in Amsterdam in 2000 and despite the fact the guys have not been churning out their albums much they age like a fine wine on their vinyls! After several years of silence they have come rushing with the power of teenagers and a new reinforcement. Flying Robbe behind the microphone seems to have a good life insurance. A new album is about to be released and you can find a few examples of what is soon to hit us in their latest setlist! They sound as if they have passed through the gate of time when DISAVOWED killed with their powerful hymns. You can check it out for yourselves at the Battlefield. See you in the mosh pit, madmen!!!
18.25 - 19.05 SUPPRESSION (USA) This will be a great for the lovers of primitive noise. Total noise/grind ride performed by the legend of the genre, SUPPRESSION. This uncompromising beast has been around since 1992 having an array of split recordings with other underground legends such as Despise You, Cripple Bastards or Grief. After an inactive period they are back in full strength with their first album containing 73 songs titled “Placebo Reality” being a proof. In the current twomember line-up, there is the founding member Jason Hodges with his bandmate Ryan Parrish (Iron Regan among others). Noise/grind assault at the OEF 2019!!! 19.15 - 20.00 ABNORMALITY (USA) A combination of the gentle sex with a unique extreme growl. There aren’t many high-quality names out there coming to your mind in this connection. Everybody knows that Mallika is considered the goddess of Brutal Death Metal and if you don’t, she will convince you of this fact in a split second! Her incredible vocal and an amazing expression brimming with perfect charisma is unforgettable. It’s not by chance King Diamond himself is a big fan of hers! Mallika is surrounded by a quartet of brutalists playing sick, technical melodies into her guttural. For the fans of ABNORMALITY, the new album is scheduled for May. You will then have time enough to immerse fully into its riffs!!! Such kind of ABNORMALITY must be loved by all men! See you in the mosh pit, dear friends!!!
20.10 - 20.50 SIEGE (USA)
A truly legendary and cult band. There is no other way the American SIEGE can be actually called! In spite of a not very numerous discography including their debut album “Drop Dead”, their three-track contribution to an iconic compilation “Cleanse The Bacteria” and a 7”EP “Lost Session 91” (plus a complete discography about 20 years later on vinyl) this band has influenced several succeeding generations of both grindcore and hardcore bands. The origins of SIEGE date back to about 1983 to Weymouth (Massachusetts) when the founding members, Kurt Habelt and Rob Williams (with their first singer Kevin Mahoney), decided to start playing harder and faster than most of their companions thus attracting the entire local Boston scene. Following their appearance on Pushead’s compilation “Cleanse The Bacteria” their production reached also the ears of the world’s audience. Their aggressive and filthy hardcore/ punk approach, along with the anti-war and socially critical lyrics, has appealed to thousands of fans since then and made SIEGE pioneers or forefathers of grindcore in the USA. After the breakup in the early 90’s, there was a brief reunion with controversial Seth Putnam of Anal Cunt on the mic. It was a short-lived reunion. The real reunion took place officially in 2016. At the moment, the current line-up has been reinforced by Ben Barnett (Dropdead). With two guitars, they will also appear live at the Obscene Extreme Festival 2019! “Break Down The Walls!!!”
21.05 - 22.00 VOMITORY (Sweden)
Let us welcome a band celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2019 for our 21st volume of OEF. They are the true classics of the genre called brutal Swedish death metal. The butchers named VOMITORY!!! It’s unbelievable these guys have been playing for 30 years!!! At the beginning they were around the first Swedish brutal bands and have never deviated from their style. It is perhaps unnecessary to name their recordings because they must definitely be among the most favourite albums of every death metal maniac! Let’s just remind you that VOMITORY reunited in 2017 following a certain time of hibernation and have since been constantly touring the stages around the world. As mentioned previously, VOMITORY will be celebrating 30 years in the scene in 2019 and we are delighted to introduce this death metal classic to you at the OEF 2019!!! There will be vomiting!!!
22.15 - 23.15 MUNICIPAL WASTE (USA) Following ten years of waiting since their first show at the Obscene Extreme Festival MUNICIPAL WASTE will finally experience the unique atmosphere of the Trutnov venue Battlefield. How is it possible? Well, this squad just happened to play the only OEF volume in 2009 when the fest had to be moved to Svojsice venue. So, it will actually be a premiere for them!!! Over the course of the long ten years the thrash/hardcore surprise and newcomer of the big stages has become an iconic band the organizers invite to their festivals only just as headliners. The move from Earache label to Nuclear Blast was almost a given. It means it was a pretty good catch for the Obscene Extreme Festival 2019!!!
23.25 - 00.15 SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH
(Austria) All of us know them!!! The followers of the sickest band from Vienna, Austria. Pungent Stench!!! After the break-up of the band in 2007 the head of the pack Martin “El Cochino” Schirenc pursued other projects and put together a band called “Church of Pungent Stench” to rename it finally SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH after a few more successful years!!! As the title suggests we can be looking forward to a live performance of immortal classic tracks of a band we all know and love!!! Martin, Danny and Mike will not spare us and give the famous OEF’s moshpit a hard time!!! It is not going to be the premiere at the OEF 2019 for these bizarre guys as they played both in Trutnov and at the American version of OEF in 2015!!! Once they are finished, your soul will belong to God and your flesh to those who call themselves SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH!!! 00.25 - 01.10 GORGASM (USA) Is your decaying neighbour oozing and has she been missing a bit of tenderness for quite some time? What about stopping by her “for a drink”? GORGASM are spectacular and their perverse ballads spread the thighs of all (not just the motionless) ladies. Their technical practices have influenced a lot of extreme bands. The combination of slimy sticking melodics nailed into your brain tissue by extreme atrocities and heavyweight brutality make them exceptional in their line of business. Do you expect their amusingly sick lyricism to be brought onto the stage? If so, you have not had the honour so far! Serious professional first-class brutal with a dynamite in the riffs you will not be able to forget. The true G orgasm is coming!!!

The obvious answer would be: crazy people, banana suits and a ridiculous amount of ugly bootleg Nasum t-shirts… But to be slightly more serious: Obscene Extreme seems like a festival that totally works. It’s a festival for true fans of extreme music without any violence and hate. I have never seen any fights there and it really seems like all of the people that attend the festival just wants to have a good time, and sometimes wear a banana suit or a melon helmet… Speaking as a musician it really works. The stage crew is very professional and although the tight change over schedule might seem scary it always works like a charm. It surprises me every time. There was a rumor going around that it would be the last edition of the festival, which would be announced after the last day. I am happy that that wasn’t the case. I was there for two reasons. 1) to show the Nasum movie and 2) to do the first non-Swedish show for Axis of Despair. Both things went well - it was kind of fun to see the movie on the big screens and notice how people started to head bang to a video! Unfortunately I had to go home early and missed some bands that I really wanted to see, but I had a good time at the anniversary. I remember hearing about the festival around year 2000. Regurgitate told stories about this crazy grindcore festival in Czech Republic run by a total fan that had made pillowcases out of Nasum t-shirts. It sounded good but I hesitated to go there. Too bad, it would have been fun to go there with Mieszko. Never the less I’ve been there three times and played with three bands, so I have had my share of the festival for sure!

Obscene Extreme has the most amazing bands, some of the greatest partys and the most unique repoir of any festival known to us inhuman beings.... After playing OEF in 2018 I realized I’m finally home!!! For anyone stricken by fetish, loud music, intense partying on an epic scale this festival is for you!!! I have to say thank you to Čurby and the OEF crew for making my freakish life complete in so many ways!!! I for I cannot wait to play it again one day soon and experience the amazing vibe this fest is notorious for!!! If you haven’t been there you don’t know what your missing... O.E.F YOU RULE!!!
01.20 - 01.50 UGRAKARMA (Nepal) After the show of Chepang, a great band from Nepal, at OEF this year we did not hesitate and reached out again into this mountainous country. The great mountain death metalists, UGRAKARMA, are another great name at the OEF 2019!!! These guys were the very first to begin playing death metal in Nepal laying its foundations in this country. This legend of the style has been around since 1999 when they released a demo tape titled “The Himalayan Metal of Death”!!! The band around the brothers Bikram and Bijaye experienced also a hibernation between 2002 and 2012 but they have returned stronger than ever before and their mini album “Mountain Grinders” is a clear proof!!! UGRAKARMA has a certain scent of exotica but their old school death metal stands comparison with the greatest representatives of the style!!! The Himalayan barbarians attacking!!! UGRAKARMA!!! 02.00 - 02.25 MAKKMAT (Norway)
Young Norwegian grind core blood! MAKKMAT will definitely delight you with their old school grindcore! Harshness, speed and brutality! This is going to be a staggering debut. We could not wish for anything better than their first recording which is an album called “Beina Brenner” to be released at EveryDayHate Records and Lukket Avdeling Records at about the time of OEF 2019! Not only the well-known faces and bands are welcome in Trutnov but also the lesser-known and new extreme squads can grab their chance!!!
02.35 - 03.00 PULMONARY FIBROSIS (France) Ultra-low, truly bubbling tunes of downtuned guitars, distorted singing and crushing drumming lead us to another name for the OEF 2019, namely the French gore grinders of PULMONARY FIBROSIS!!! The music in the best tradition of classic pathological grind delivered with an unrestrained fierceness as it has always been the case as for this style!!! The guys around the frantic, vomiting drummer and the brain of the band, Guillaume, came into existence in 1998 being very active in the world underground ever since both by releasing countless recordings on all kinds of media or by enormous live activity across the globe. PULMONARY FIBROSIS, as almost every band, went through line-up changes but their music does not change. Following their 20th anniversary last year we are happy to invite them to the Trutnov Battlefield to play their classic pathological rumbling tunes for the second time already!!!
