For the premix of cement they use the special spatulas of stainless steel (Fig.7) or plastics. For implementation of the works related to the beeswax, spatulas are used with a wooden or plastic pen, one end of which has a scalpel-like form, other is slightly out bowed and adjusted for a casting beeswax (Fig. 8). For working with metals (cutting of shells) there are special scissors (fig.9). Cramponic tongs (Fig.10) are used for fitting crowns, making of pins, bending of clasps from a wire. Beak-like tongs are applied for correction of edge of metallic crown. For the removal of unremovable metallic prosthetic devices (crowns, bridge-like prosthetic

devices) tongs one end of which has a semioval form for the scope of tooth are used, other have the appearance of knife for the cutting the crown (Fig.11). For fitting, treatments of crowns, making of pins and other works with a metal a dento-technical anvil is used (Fig.12). For the premix of plaster at the receipt of imprints (molds) and founding of models rubbers cups and metallic spatulas are used. For the deckling models and work with plaster gypseous knives are used (Fig. 13, 14).

Equipment of Dento-Technical Laboratory (room, equipment, tools) Organizing dentoprosthetic production orthopaedic department and dentoprosthetic laboratory, as a rule, try to place on one floor. In the laboratory there must be the ponderable presence of a few rooms taking into account specific terms which are created on the different stages of making of prosthetic 18

devices. The rooms of dento-technical laboratory are divided into basic and special (auxiliary). In a basic one works are executed from making dentures. Independent rooms The laboratory rooms are as follows: basic, gypseous, forming and polymerization, soldering, casting. Possible association of gypses, forming and polymerization in one room. Basic or purchasing room. This room is intended for implementation of basic processes from making dentures (designs, rising of teeth, finishing of prosthetic devices and other). The height of working room must be not less, than is 3 – 3.5 meters. On every working there must be not less than 13m3 volumes of shopfloor and not less than 4 m areas (not more, than for 15 dental technicians). The walls of basic room of laboratory must be painted with the oil paint of light tones for facilitation of care of them. The floor is covered with linoleum in the basic rooms and ceramic tiles in the special ones. The windows must be of maximum width, with small hinged window pane or transoms, and it follows to dispose workplaces so that the light falls straight or on the left from a person that works. Temperature of air – within the limits of 18–22 Co, relative humidity – 75–85 %. All of it substance is very important for the health of dental technicians, because they execute very exact work with permanent tension of sight. Workplace of dental technician. For comfortable, rapid and most effective implementation of all processes related to making of prosthetic devices, every dental technician must take individual working place (Fig. 15) that consists of dento-technical table (Fig. 16). For work of technician is very comfortable to cover the surface of the table with material: with a sheet composition-metal stainless steel or plastic. On the spot table there is a half-month cut, in the center of which the special appearance is disposed for cutting of models – finagel. Directly under the cut case goods are disposed for the maintainance of tool and collection of off cuts of plaster, plastic, and also there are stands for the maintainance of models, materials and different orthopaedic constructions which are on the different stages of making. On the surface of table set the motor of loop and portable drill. A drill can be specially mounted in a table. For the warming-up of beeswax and other operations related to the beeswax, on a table place wax-like (Fig. 17), gas burner electro-spatula (Fig. 18). Above the table a lighting unit is disposed. There must be the brought drawing ventilation on every workplace,it is very necessary.

In this room also there must be a closet for materials, apparatus for drawing shells (Fig. 19). Registration of workplace of dental technician follows to give large value, because here he spends greater part of the working hours, and it must respond to request to all the ergonomics and labour and health protection. Next to the technical requirements it is needed to take into account the elements of aesthetics, modern design. Plaster room. In plaster’s are executed all works related to the plaster: founding of models, plastering in occludator, plastering of prosthetic devices in cuvettes before polymerization, release of prosthetic devices from gypsoforms and other. A large table, the surface of which is covered by a metal or plastic, takes place in the room. For comfort of work the table has openings for the off-cuts of plaster. The table is supplied with water. On the table a bunker is set for the maintainance of plaster, extruder plaster from cuvettes and ordinary press. In the case goods of the table or on regiments there kept cuvettes, occludators, articulators and other equipment and tool (Fig. 20–23). Forming and polymerization room. This room is intended for work with a plastic. Here plastic is prepared, formed and polymerized. A table on which the semis are disposed “dough” from the varied plastics for subsequent forming in cuvettes are in the room. The table must have a smooth surface which can 20
