Department of Business Disciplines The programs in the Department of Business Disciplines are designed to prepare graduates to meet the challenges of a fast-changing and increasingly global business environment. Each curriculum provides for a general understanding of our economic system and business environment while providing a sound foundation in the common body of business knowledge.

Business Pitch Competition Held annually, the SEED Center?s Business Pitch Competition helps local entrepreneurs start their businesses with startup funding and the use of the SEED Center?s business incubator. Since the competition?s start in 2013, McNeese students have won funding for their business ideas in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021.

Student Activities McNeese has more than 100 student organizations and clubs on campus, including those that compliment general business administration majors? academic courses. Get involved on campus and connect with your fellow students with the Entrepreneurship Club, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Delta Sigma Pi co-ed professional business fraternity.

General Business Administration Concentrations Business Education Grades 6-12 As a business education major, you'll develop the skills to teach everything from budgeting to understanding interest rates to junior high and high school students and help familiarize them with the fundamentals of how markets work.

Construction Management With this concentration, you'll focus on the skills relating specifically to the construction industry, including project planning, civil engineering principles and operations management.
