Humanities Degree Concentrations Geography Applied Learning: McNeese?s humanities concentrations offer small class sizes, immersive learning and internship and service-learning opportunities in a variety of settings. The faculty in the Department of History include subject-matter experts, active researchers and published authors who are committed to ensuring student success both inside and outside the classroom.
Engage with and explore theories about the nature of the human mind, free will and the foundations of knowledge and ethics from ancient Greece through the modern era.
Faculty-Directed Learning:
The pre-law concentration prepares students who want to continue their education at law school with a solid foundation in the judicial process, political philosophy and constitutional interpretation.
Through close consultation with experienced faculty, humanities majors have the chance to explore a specific area of their concentration that interests them and develop their skills in research, analysis, writing and critical thinking.
Student Organizations: Housed in the College of Liberal Arts, the humanities degree program offers students the chance to join a number of on-campus student organizations, including the National Theatre Honor Society Alpha Si Omega, McNeese Debate Council, Multicultural Engagement, Philosophy Club and Pre-Law and Politics Society.

Theatre Arts Get hands-on experience in all aspects of the stage, including performance, light and sound design and stage management.
