Throughout the portfolio, four projects will be exhibited that will attempt to demonstrate certain criteria for thinking and making architecture and city on different scales, supported mainly by noble tools such as the model and the sketch. The rst part corresponds to the university level, while the second corresponds to the professional level.

Final thesis work - Architectural heritage
National University of Litoral-Arg-2020
Luciano Barsuglia GonzálezBetween 1854 and 1861 the city of Paraná used to be the capital of Argentina. Of all the institutional buildings of that time, the only one still standing is the former senate of the nation, nowadays Nuestra Señora del Huerto School. Beyond its current private domain by the school, this architectural object has a declaration of national heritage, which gives us Argentine citizens the power to make use of it.
In the rst place, the thesis work seeks to disseminate to the community the transcendence of a building that, beyond being visible to everyone in the historic center of the city, seems to be invisible. Although in 1861 the national government was the one who donated the building to the school, at present it is possible to observe an incompatibility of the educational functions in relation to the heritage that over time has caused a physical and typological wear through the shabbiness it has suffered.
Therefore, through a work of research and project simulation, it seek to enhance and reintegrate the former senate in the public environment.
Current state of the heritage building. The trays are there due to the crumbling of the cornice over the pavement. In order to make the architectural project as reliable as possible, the rst step is to relocate the educational functions to another sector of the city.
In addition to revitalizing the old, contemporary architectures are emerging to accommodate new uses.
The next step is to eliminate the annexes that have been added to the old Senate building, thus returning it to its original L typology. This generates, on the one hand, a square inside one of the most important blocks of the city. On the other, it frees up the north facade of the city's Cathedral.

Return the Federal Chamber to its original function
It is proposed that national senators should be able to meet on the oor at least once a year A federal gesture intended to eventually deconcentrate the polarization of Buenos Aires. The rest of the building will also function as a support for the chamber and museum.

The project strategy is based on placing on an irregular terrain, with signicant unevenness and preexisting vegetation of different characteristics, a typology of dissimilar elements linked by a corridor. This architectural object of protrusions at different scales begins at street level, near the basin, then continues a proliferation between the trunks and foliage of the trees approximately six meters below Conforming the morphology in this way, each protuberance is assigned a specic sector of the program.

Material exhibited in the project developed by Luciano Barsuglia GonzálezThe circulation that acts as the backbone of the project is regulated by specic parameters. Some sections of it are developed parallel to the party walls, others are subordinated to the trees that guide these geometries, while other sections are made parallel to the rst two types. From this central spine, which is the corridor of the house, the other morphologies are gestated, which open up to the distant landscape or regulate more contained and intimate views.
The social, which is close to the street, gradually transforms into intimate spaces as the o b j e c t e n t e r s n a t u r e .

The project consists of two volumes (A and B) articulated by circulations for heavy trafc vehicles. Sector C is land that is going to be purchased soon to expand the program.
Taking into account that the main activity of the client is the storage and distribution of different metals in the region, and that for this reason they have relatively cheap access to said elements, it was decided to congure the building to a large extent based on this raw material. Almost like an Oulipian gesture, the project begins to take shape under certain selfimposed restrictions in relation to modules and measurements of such standardized materials (six meters and/or multiples). Also, taking into account the architectural shortcomings exposed during the covid 19, this alternation of solids and voids allows natural lighting, cross ventilation and, if necessary, being able to work outdoors in spaces with adequate proportions.
In sheds, diffused light is needed, evenly distributed throughout its surface, so the study of the growth variables of skylights is essential to satisfy this need.
If they all maintain a uniform height as we get closer to the epicenter of the building, the light ow decreases. It is for this reason that the growth gradient increases as a function of displacement towards that epicenter
The roof of the shedThinking with hands
When making the model, conditions emerged that are directly linked to manual creation, and that no other instance of the project offers us.
We have the case of metallic paper. Accidentally a piece of this paper was crumpled, then the following question arises: what happens if you take advantage of this "mistake" and manage to systematize this wrinkling process in some way? The process and the results are interesting and are nally used. The simple process of folding and crumpling gives us another texture and therefore another refraction of light, generating a new effect that is subtly different from the original. Although it was not considered necessary for this case, this technique enables different wrinkling gradients to be generated.
